he did well against IU in the last game as well. Crucial knock in a crunch run chase. We have won 2 games when Umar Akmal has fired. This is why he is rated and so many expectations people have from him.

McCullum suits U. Akmal. But people are very naive if they expect a fifty every game from U. Akmal. He will still do well in one out of three games which is pretty ok for PSL standards for a Pakistani bat. I think he already won them one game last week.

Stop expecting wonders from U. Akmal. Till we do not have a better attacking middle order bat he will have his chances though.

Just like I told you guys.

He just can not be consistent ala Babar Azam, but he will give you one of these handy knocks in 1 out of three innings.

It won't surprise me if he scores a few ducks in the next innings and then an awesome fifty in the knock out games. That's how the Akmal brothers work!

When will we Pakistanis understand this and stop expecting wonders from Junior? Use him in ODI till you get a better one which I doubt will happen any soon.

As I said 500 times earlier U. Akmal (unfortunately) for our team is still one of the better ones at that number 6 hitting position. Not a good thing, but that's how it is.

Sarfraz, Babar, Malik, Fakhar, even Shadab and Afridi

teams are not giving chances to Khushdil, Talat and Mohsin otherwise they will be better than him too

Let him perform in another match. We all know he can play a decent innings or two. Remember the century against Afghanistan? It seemed like a turning point towards responsibility but like always, just a one off.

Sarfraz both innings while chasing have been far better,in one game he remained unbeaten and in the other he remained till the end,to the point where it was less then run a ball,Unlike Umar.Also Malik's 27 ball 51* was a classic innings.

Sarfraz and Babar have been best ODI bats since the start of last year. Akmal has a record of failure in ODIs against top teams since the start of 2014.

Who is everyone? Jury is still out on Fakhar (he has thoroughly outperformed Akmal in the PSL though). However, Sarfaraz has wiped the floor with Akmal with his performance in PSL and international. Numbers don't lie. No matter what PP 'experts' think.

I think with Sharjeel out of the team, the only vacancy I can see for him is opening the innings. If he wants to reinvent himself as an opener like his brother was, then that may be a way back for him. But he is too big a liability for the middle order.

I've posted Sarfraz's stats several times, but everyone ignores them.

Something I haven't posted before. Since his comeback in 2014, Sarfraz is Pakistan's highest scorer in ODIs.

Shadab has a better technique than Umar AKmal, Umar can't be compared to Fakhar and Sarfraz. Even if you do the comparisons of recent form you will be disappointed by Umar
