If there was a ranking of the worst bowlers, he would be the best among all of them
 
Lol this guy was whining all over social media and TV channels.

The major blame lies with inzi though .

Gul and Wahab deserve each others company living on a deserted island, alone.

Mind boggling bowling and ignoranance.

I'd rather they concentrate on youngsters like Hasan, than try their luck with tried and tested failures in those two above.

Hes been awful every game Bowls 80mph half trekkers constantly and his change of pace is so obvious

Do not know for how long this guy will keep hurting our feelings. Every year he keeps getting 'better' and disappoints us even more.

Gul was once the leader of the ODI pace attack, but he's been done for a while and everyone knew it

I don't know why he was selected, maybe Inzamam was nostalgic. Gul hasn't had any domestic performances of note (neither has Junaid btw)
 
Why is his performance a surprise though ??
He has been terrible for a while now . Was awful at the PSL .
Blame the selectors.
 
He was finished log time ago, I don't know why they selected him, but now there should be no question [emoji84][emoji84][emoji84]

He was good for a brief period with those yorkers but after two new balls rule was introduced he lost it all
 
He was a brilliant death bowler a few years back, but it's quite clear that he can't cut it anymore. I'm not sure why he was selected for this series in the first place. This should be his last ODI.

hope these bowling ttfs are given rest from ODIs forever. Likes of Wahab,Junaid and Gul, Anwar .etc they are just mediocre. no hope for future.
 
Guls peak was from 2007-2011. Since then Gul has been mediocre in truth he hasnt been the same bowler since that thrashing from Sehwag at Mohali. He has been a good servant for Pak cricket when our two more mercurial talents Asif and Akhtar were banned or injured Gul was our main bowler and has contributed to memoral moments for Pakistan cricket but his time has been up for a few years now. Shouldnt play again for us.
 
Tribute to Umar Gul!

When I first started watching cricket Umar gul was my favorite bowler even though he has never been a great front line bowler. The skills he had were limited but he still managed to play for Pakistan for more than 10 years. He was always overlooked by fans due to him playing second fiddle to other great Pakistani bowlers. One thing people cant question is the hard work that umar gul has put in to get the amount of international wickets he got with his limited skillset. He only had two good bowls which were reverse swing and deadly yorkers. He is of the last great Pakistani bowlers who used the yorker effectively. I believe agaisnt england he played his last game. Thank you for the great memories Umar bhai.
 
Sorry, but a mediocre bowler. Was only a t20 specialist for some period of time.
 
I believe his best has come and gone. Times were good but unfortunately he gives too much runs away. Time to focus and groom Hasan Ali

problem for Sarfraz now he has to play Hamza or Anwar and both can lose match on its own

Bowled the short bowls very well. Hopefully this doesn't enable a comeback in the T20I team.
 
This is the draw back of playing TTF. They ll cash in cheap wickets or score 50s and claim a comback in national team. Please no Gul please🤦🏽*♂️😢

Gul as in the past few years looked well short on pace, accuracy and skill

Nowhere near intnl standard anymore
 
Like I said in the match thread Inzi's already put his name down in our next squad. One more good performance and he will make Gul our captain in all three formats

Tbf a 6fer is a 6fer. Doesnt matter if it didn't look great, the guy actually bowled with some brain on this track and had the fielders in the right places
 
If anyone noticed, Gul did not bowl a single yorker in his four overs. His yorker was always his main weapon in t20s. His lost both pace and accuracy. Their is no sting in his bowling and looks like he is going through the motions. A fluke spell.
 
did he bowled out any batsman or trapped him leg before, or caught behind ?

most of his wkts were in same fashion ...
