Under-19 bowler Ammad Butt Jr

Opening a thread since some posters were interested.

Was one of the top bowling prospects and would have been at the 2020 U19 WC earlier this year in place of Abbas Afridi etc but couldn’t go due to injury. Saim Ayub and Akhtar Shah could also not go due to injury, for reference.

Anyways, he looks pretty decent and was identified as one of the top 28 prospects late last year for a camp at the NCA:

You’ll recognize a lot of names on that list, pretty much all of them are highly rated youngsters. He was 138 kph a year ago, no idea what he clocks now.

Also no idea what he’s doing right now, since he’s too old for U19 cricket but also nowhere near the Central Punjab second XI. Hopefully not lost in the system.

Good work bro. Is this the same one who was bowling to Mubasir Khan? In this video his run up isn’t looking as smooth as the other one.

However, look at his height and physical build and action ..he looks ideal for a top class bowling coach to work with and get the best out of.

Yep, same person. This video was posted 4 months before that match of him bowling to Mubasir Khan. So I expect he worked on his runup with the U19 coach at Central Punjab.
