We need to limit foreign players to three and remove the mandatory one under-19/emerging player per team to get quality cricket in PSL.

There are at least six good domestic cricketers on merit who have missed the PSL boat and that's going to hamper Pakistan in the long run.

Foreigners like blessing muzrabani or unknown foreigners like some have stated are being picked more for the brand of psl rather than cricketing talent and accumen and this is one of the problems in itself when organising these type of leagues, you have to get the balance right between developing your own talent but making a package for the global audience

PSL is too broke to have a seventh team. Even a local player like Kamran Akmal is refusing to participate in the tournament because of wage stagnation. The league hasn’t grown up to the level it was forecasted to grow. Plus, the new rights cycle are not due anytime soon. So I think we’ll be stuck with 6 teams in the foreseeable future.

1 team of IPL has more international established players than this whole PSL and this is 7th edition we are talking about. This is a laughing stock and PCB should seriously consider about limiting the overseas players to 2 in playing eleven and 4 in every squad - 1 each in Platinum, Diamond, Gold and Supplementary categories.

Surprising to see Zahid, Nasir & Imran missing out. He has done pretty well in his T20 career so far and has a pretty great SR. Zahid's T20 numbers are extremely impressive so it's a bit shocking no one picked him.

Kashif Ali missing out is disappointing too. Unfortunate PSL teams are prioritizing picking overseas batsmen over local ones -- I do get it to a certain extent but this is a bit overboard.

Might not be the case in 2016 but, surely now the overall pool of decent players have increased and deserving ones out of them should be given an opportunities in PSL to showcase there skills.

High time to have atleast 1 and ideally two more teams in the competition. An idea of having a rest of Pakistan team was discussed few times and even that can be an option as it can be PCB owned (Can easily be marketed really well) if franchises have contractual issues to have new teams.

PCB should make a pool of 20-30 top local players and make it mandatory for the franchises to pick all those players before moving on to choose from the draft or their PDPs.

This way we can see more deserving players in PSL teams instead of Akmals, Afridi and Tanvir e.t.c.

I am very happy to see that our talent pool has grown. The fact that we can make another franchise or two and still make them competitive, at least on paper, is testament to that. The only worry here is a lack of decent foreign players available and that’s because of financial issues. Players who specialise just in t20s surely can’t be on international duties throughout the tournament window. So we just need more money and for that to happen the PSL teams need to start making profits. Otherwise, the quality will decrease in the upcoming seasons.
