Starting this thread to name upcoming players who we think will regularly feature for their country in near future. We can have a discussion on them here also.

1. Daniel Bell Drummond (ENG)

Very exciting prospect. 22 years right handed attacking opener.

2. Ben Duckett (ENG)

Recently hit 200 odd runs in a List A game.

3. Mosaddek Hossain (BAN)

Has good number specially in FC.

4. Alzarri Joseph (WI)

19 years old pacer. Should be maintained well by WICB. Caught the world attention when he hit AB De Villiers with a bouncer in a CPL match.

Feel free to contribute & engage in discussion.

5. Sami Aslam (PAK)

A stylish left hander has huge potential. Played a single ODI & couple of tests. Averages 49 in List A.

BTW my indian bros, what happened to Vijay Zol, or as we say in bangla, Bijoy Jhol

6. Travis Head (AUS)

Head is a superstar in the making I believe. Recently smashed 175 in a List A match for Yorkshire.

7. Jason Behrendorff (AUS)

Could have already debuted for AUS if injury didn't refrain him.

8. Joel Paris (AUS)

Debuted for Aus. Still young but huge potential. Needs one or two Shield season under his belt.

Both are injury prone.

There is a tall Queenslander I guess named Billy Stanlake from Aus. I won't say he will make the national side very soon but someone to keep an eye on.

I don't have much knowledge on Indian players though. But from whatever I have seen or my understanding the following:

9. Sanju Samson (IND)

He has a class in his batting. He is still 21.

10. Kuldeep Yadav (IND)

Chinaman bowler.

Also believe Karun Nair & Lokesh Rahul both are going to feature for India quite regularly in the future.

Travis Head will be in the limited overs team shortly.

Paris just needs to stay fit.

Behrendorff is in that odd sort of position. Injuries came at a bad time for him.

I really like Matt Renshaw as well

Umar Akmal (Pak)
Ahmad Shehzad ( Pak)
Afridi (Pak - if he thinks about Nation and come out of retirement)

Joel Paris - Aus
Chris Lynn - Aus
Ben Duccket - Eng
Liam Dawson - Eng
Sami Aslam - Pakistan
Fakhar Zakam - Pakistan
Hasan Ali - Pakistan
Awish Khan - India
Khaleel - India (Can't remember the name exactly)
Mosaddek - Bangladesh
Alzei Joseph - WI
Springer - WI

Yes, Fakhar Zaman from PAK, averaging 50 in List A.

Hasan Ali from PAK, 22 years pacer with good numbers. Chance we may see him in the next ODI assignment of PAK.

Chris Lynn won't make it

He is a decent T20 bat. Good reputation globally.

Averages 44 in FC. If he scores heavily in Shield, may be have a shout in the test squad.

His List A number needs improvements though.

Kusal Mendis for SL is on right now.

Rishabh Pant sadly the dude has a chance to end up in the team along with Khaleel Ahmed if Zaheer mentors him.

Liam Livingstone for England. A really clean striker of the ball who's been racking up the runs this season for Lancashire. Also high hopes for Haseeb Hameed who made his FC debut for Lancashire this year, only 19.

He's a prospect but we won't hype him up until he delivers some good performances.

Actually a few other Indian posters hyped him a lot. Some said he is the next Kohli

I didn't see him in IPL or national side so can't comment

From Pakistan Certainty Uptil Now for Possible Long Careers:

1. Saud Shakeel

2. Mohammad Asghar

Emerging talent from INDIA is disappointing, going by this thread..England seems to have the best in bag followed by aussies

Kusal Mendis (SL)
Ben Duckett (Eng)
Babar Azam (Pak)
Saud Shakeel (Pak)
Hasan Ali (Pak)
Amad Butt (Pak)
Alzarri Joseph (WI)

For Pakistan:

Amad Butt
Hasan Ali
Muhammad Asghar
Saud Shakeel

Ironically only one batsman in that list, when our need is for more good batsmen.

Liam Livingstone for England. A really clean striker of the ball who's been racking up the runs this season for Lancashire. Also high hopes for Haseeb Hameed who made his FC debut for Lancashire this year, only 19.

Isnt livingstone the guy that scored a 350 in a club cricket match off about 130 odd balls?

For Pak :

Babar Azam
Saud Shakeel
Sharjeel in LOIs
Haris if fit
Mohammad Amir
Hasan Ali
Amad Butt
Asghar and Zafar will compete
Usama in LOIs

Rishab Pant (Should replace MSD when he retires). To me, he is already better than Saha.

Sarfaraz Khan (Lower order Power hitter).

Any upcoming bowlers Indian friends? I had hopes for Sandeep Sharma. But he choked against Zimbos when he got the chance.

Avaish Khan and Khaleel.

Why are we having the names of Sharjeel, Harris and Babar in up coming players ?? These guys have made their respective international debuts.

The thread would've made more sense had a underlining category was described by the OP as to who we are referring to ?? Debuted or Non Debuted players.

Rishabh Pant,Avesh Khan,Khaleel Ahmed,Sarfaraz Khan,Kuldeep Yadav,Karun Nair,Shreyas Iyer

Batsman,Fast bowler,Spinner,Middle Order batsman,Opening batsmen-Things looking good :srini

The upcoming players who you think are going to feature regularly for their country, debuted or non debuted, not a problem.

Nicolas pooran (Westindies)
One heck of a strokeplayer .

If he continues like this, many T20 franchises across world will be eager to sign him up. Plus I feel a WI T20I call up is already on the cards.

Yupp.

Avaish Khan. Hope he succeeds. India badly needs another bowler as Shami is injury prone and BK is not suitable for all conditions.

Who is this Khaleel? Never heard of him.

I am missing his name, who was 2nd pace bowler with Avaish Khan?? Do you remember?

India - Rishabh Pant, Sarfaraz Khan, Avesh Khan. KL Rahul to be regular in ODIs as well

Liam Dawson hits one more century today in Royal London One Day Cup.

On a very tough wicket (an outground) as well. He's also captaining Hampshire at the moment in the absense of Vince due to test selection and Ervine due to injury.

Scored 25* and took 5/17 in a t20 on his captaincy debut on Friday night.

For Pakistan we are definitely going to see players like the following in the near future.l:

Babar Azam
Jaahid Ali
Haris Sohail
Sami Aslam
Fakhar Zaman
Imam Ul Haq
Mohammad Nawaz
Mohammad Asghar
Zafar Gohar
Ammad Butt
Mohammad Rizwan
Usama Mir
Shadab Khan

Plus even though I know people won't agree with me but Umar Akmal needs to be given a chance at four for a series atleast. I am sure he will prove himself. But if discipline doesn't get better he should be dropped.
While I believe Ahmed Shehzad shouldn't given anymore chances since a player with minimal footwork won't survive for long

some really exciting players there hope they are given opportunities.

Can't say I know a lot about countries other than SL so I'll stick to what I know

Asalanka - u19 Capt who is rumored to be picked for the upcoming odi series
Vandersay- leggie who has already played a few t20s
Charith Fernando - another u19 guy who is already in the test squad
Roshen silva - very consistent bat.
Udara jayasundara - IMO our solution to the opener issue. Going through a bad patch
Vishsa Fernando - leftie medium pacer who can swing the ball

Roshen Silva is the only player who I can see play for a long time with this SL side. Weirdly he isn't being given his opportunity.
Wonder why Viswa still hadn't been given his debut, been hearing about him for some time.
You are talking about Asitha Fernando, not Charith lol. Asitha Fernando seemed like Dammika Prasad like bowler. Will do well if he is consistent. Only Roshen Silva and Kusal Mendis seem permanent.

Actually it is the other way around. For India, there is too much talent, there isn't a whole point listing names when they won't get a chance not because they are not good but because the competition is even better. You have a guy like Negi with a $1 million contract who isn't even mentioned on this page. You have a player like Manish Pandey who can't get into the team even after recently scoring a century to beat Australia at home.

I think Lakshan Sandakan also classifies as a real talent. Beautiful bowling in the last last. Spitting turn and copious amounts of drift and loop.

roshen has attitude issues.

Babar Adam, James Pattinson, Kusal Mendis.

And.. LOKESH RAHUL.

People were laughing when I told them this guy was special when he got out for duck in Australia. Then he gave them a tight slap with a century next innings.

And another slap today on the other cheek. Seriously, this kid is good. Solid technique and hunger for runs.

If I was Babar, I'd watch my back and train harder to keep this guy in check.

Has been explosive and innovative in IPL as well.

I thought it was Vithanage who had issues. Is it temper or what ?

roshen just seems to not get along with people from what i've heard. vithanage gets along famously with most guys, it's just that he is ill disciplined.

excellent start to test career

Josh Bohannon is a name I want to see in England test squad soon. Averages 43 in FC cricket. Struck a fifty for England Lions against Australia A in Australia.
