Omg... who came up with this back killer exercise?

Pakistan and their paindu fitness gurus with dehati exercises...

Even a football player wouldn’t recover this quickly - he is just being a fool and damaging his career. He might do well today but long term wise, this is likely to atfect him.

Is he the best partner for Amir with the new ball? Ellipsism

Is he fully fit to play?

I thought because of the stress fracture he was out for a minimum of 6 months. I remember reading initially they thought there were multiple stress fractures but then it turned out to be 1. I'm no doctor. But can this harm him in the long run?

Sohail Khan had a similar issue, but he decided to go on his own merry way.

According to Mickey, he has trained very hard and has been looked after at the NCA and by the KK team and was given the thumbs up by a medical committee. Hopefully he'll be OK...

Astonishing that he is back so quickly after such a serious injury. It looked to me that he wasn't walking normally after he ended his spell - don't want to set off any alarm bells, it could just be me feeling nervous for him. I hope his body holds up

Should have sent him to the doctor in NZ who worked on Shane Bond, James Pattinson, this guy is a real talent with the ball

If you quote examples of shane bond and pattinson, you arent making a great case for the doctor.

Absolutely superb bowling by Usman "Shahi" Shinwari. Great to see our abundant fast bowling reserves.

Hassan is a middle overs bowler and feels comfortable in that role. He was whacked when forced to open in the NZ tour.

One tour is not enough of a sample size.

Currently, his mindset is that he will only ball in the middle overs. Team management needs to change this. I think over time it would be a great move. Need to give him time to adapt. He has the required skill set.

I might be wrong, but he looked better yesterday than he did before the injury lol... didn't see much of that spraying and was bringing plenty of heat.

I think he was bowling within himself, wasn't going for excess pace.

I just hope they don't destroy his career. He certainly is a great talent for Pakistan.

He has better before injury also, it is just that u have realised he is a good bowler.

It's only one match, but before injury he would give a boundary ball or rank long hop atleast once an over. Yesterday he was bowling within himself hence wasn't spraying it about.

Well that isn't really a ringing endorsement of the Doctor

He’s been opening the bowling his entire domestic career, he was obviously going to be a rusty if all you do is provide him sporadic opportunities with the new ball.

If Hasan opens the bowling - who should bowl in the middle overs?

What a comeback by Shinwari! He bowled really well today. Seems like he's ready for the national team comeback as well.

I really like him but the way he choked multiple times in the PSL is a bit worrying for the future especially with the World Cup coming up.

I remember he used to be really good at nailing the yorkers at the death. Don’t know what’s happened recently though.

He is like Gull. On his day he can tear through opposition line up and can take fifers but other days he can get phainty as well.

He is the best fast bowler in Pakistan. His fitness must be carefully managed and cared for. This guy is a real asset.

Man of the match performance by Usman Khan Shinwari (Federal)

Playing today - hopefully he can show us why he is rated so highly

Rumman and Juni in odis and Amir and Rumman's place in T20s under threat after emergence of Shinwari. Don't see Wahab making a comeback in our limited overs sides.

Good to have depth with likes of Shaheen too.

Now we just need one tall, right arm fast bowler and our pace bowling is set for many years :)

Out of the viable third pacer options, it seems he has the best raw talent to work with, and can bowl with the new ball unlike some of the others.

We need someone who can effectively bowl well with Amir. It makes Amir more effective, puts on the pressure early up. It's our weakest area. Too many times the problem is the opposition have played out Amir early on (and Amir's not taken wickets) and milked the other pacer at the other end. And by the time Hasan comes on, too many runs are leaked, and Hasan doesn't have a lot of leeway to go super aggressive, as Hasan will take wickets but is often expensive.

Ideally we need another new ball pacer. A spinner to partner Shadab would be nice too, but not at the expense of weakening our batting line up.

He’s been dropped for Mohammad Amir.A little bit unfair as he won the Man of the Match award only 2 matches ago.
