I understand that Shinwari is a very talented limited overs bowler. He is in the current squad the only genuine wicket taking option we have. But how many times does he overstep when he picks up a wicket or during a crucial moment?

This is not a first off and it won't be the last time because Mickey thinks it's okay. He has cost his team matches by losing the plot or over-stepping in crucial moments.

The only solution is that he be dropped until he sorts it out. He will cost you a knock-out match in the world cup I can almost visualize the scenario happening in my head.

Talent or no talent, Shinwari has to go for now.

Pathetic bowler who has no business playing international cricket or even PSL.

I actually rate him as a bowler. But he's got no nerves whatsoever. Mentally he is always on the brink of falling apart.

He is so garbage that he got thoroughly out bowled by Hasnain who was just playing the third one-day match of his life.

Too harsh. He just needs to watch out his step at the crease. That can always be improved.

Shinwari is a terrific 3rd bowler option to back up Amir and Hasan Ali.

Garbage bowler who shouldn't be anywhere near the international team.

Takes a special skill to have an ER of nearly 10 when bowling 30+ overs

Those are his stats in this years PSL

Very skilled bowler. Bowls with pace and heart, unlike Amir. His an attacking bowler and will go for runs. I agree on his no ball issue, he needs to fix it immediately.

Plenty of pace and heart in comparison to the coward heartless Amir

Shouldn't be near pak team.. our first choice bowlers should be Hasan, Amir, Junaid.

good bowler with a lot of talent, but lacks discipline. A lot like Sohail Khan

don't see him making it to the WC, Junaid has been more impressive. And I would take Husnain over Shinwari as pacer #5 in WC

Shinwari and Rahat are the reason why a guy like Wahab is never out of the reckoning for a comeback. The new players just don't take their opportunities.

Shinwari, Faheem would not have played 5 games for Pakistan back in the 90s because any body who came in, excelled immediately against high class opposition. Zahid, Razzaq, Sami, Shoaib Akhtar all came in and made their impact instantly. Even Shahid Nazir. Shahid Nazir was 50 times the bowler Shinwari and Faheem will ever be, yet played so little for Pakistan because he still wasn't good enough. We need to find better bowlers. Hasnain another one in the line of supreme mediocrity.

Shows the cluelessness. :najam
Savak and ExpressPace - the only two Shinwari fans here.

His poor death bowling might have also cost us in the end.

Junaid and Shaheen are our best death bowlers. Hasan should take the new ball and be done his full 10 overs before 40th over.

There are two schools of thought it seems.

1. He is terrible.

2. He is the better than the rest.

The truth is somewhere in the middle. He should be in the starting xi on ability and performance but his no-balls and brain farts are too costly. It's a shame really.

He could be good but he needs to learn from this no ball problem. He didn't learn when he got QDK in that decider and he done it again yesterday. Yesterday we most certainly would have won had he got him out and that deciding ODI against SA we could have won too if it was a legit ball.

Another brainless, mental midget of a bowler. Don’t need a slower version of Wahab. Can’t believe people find him a skillful bowler.
