Another one of these bull **** camps. Yet they will keep selecting guys who 0% deserve to be playing the format they are selected in.

All for show by the crooks in the PCB committees to make it seem like they’re putting in an effort to the public eye.

No, these camps are actually very good. The likes of Hasnain, Shaheen came through the same route.

Also we must appreciate the fact that its doing a world of good for the players involved also - see the video - one guy saying his action has been fixed etc

Yes, PCB has been doing a good job investing in the development of young players ever since Mudassar took over NCA.

It's a good initiative actually. I think, bowling is more of natural talent (physical attributes as well) and mentoring, while batting is more methodical, process oriented. Therefore, without a proper functional system, it's still probably possible to find raw bowling talent and mentor them into quality prospects. But, that's impossible for batsmen - one can't find a batsman from watching hitting ability in 10-12 balls or for 3 minutes clips that creates lots of hype here in PP. No wonder a thread on some unknown Balooch (no offense) guy resembling Kohli went for so many posts!!!!!!!!

But, PCB's talent hunt didn't bring much success in past for ONLY one reason and I'll hammer that every time - these sort of hunting only can work if kids/boys are picked at the right age. Young men born as 6 years old will always impress in U17 trials, but his learning curve is over, body is also developed, he would definitely improve after proper training, but very unlikely to be world class. Another problem is, you have different sets of training methods and physical work load for different age - it won't work unless proper age is scrutinized. A guy of 23, might look million dollars as 19 years old, but it won't develop his endurance - one of the main reason, despite having naturally gifted physique, several PAK pacers have broken down with stress even in their genuine late 20s, because of their grooming. Mudassar can give the best lessons to a young man pretending to be sweet 16, it won't work - it doesn't matter if a 29 years old guy faking to be 23, but there is whole lot difference between even 18 & 19.

Never the less, good initiative - at least they can find several FC standard prospects and fast track them to lime light. Nothing wrong in giving a try out of box.

According to one coach most of fast bowler are 135+average speed which is pretty impressive for that young age .hope some of them are developed for next phase

I do not see the point of these camps when the selectors are going to continue selecting nearly 50 averaging Yasir Shah.

Shah's LOI career should have ended all the way back in 2015, but here we are in 2019 and he is on the cusp of WC selection if Shadab does not get fit in time. Pathetic state of affairs.

The point is to filter all the talented boys so they don't even get selected by a mistake. Also check the family trees etc. to see kon kis kis ka rishtay daar hai just to be safe k next time kis ko pick karna hai.

:inzi2

It works for both parties. The players benefit from coaching which can help alter falws like action whilst coaches can identify young talent.
