I was on YouTube and I found a video of a kid bowling legspin to older men. He looks really good to me and I was wondering if anyone has any information on this kid? Discuss!

Enough of rubbish over-hyped kids

If your definition of rubbish over-hyped kids is the boy in the video then I hope there are plenty more to come. Just look at the way he is bowling, men who are maybe 20 years older than him are struggling to get bat on ball on him.

Looks good. But he aint 6 years old I can tell you that. He looks more like 10-12. Has potential though.

In the coming years I can see Aghanistan producing many quality and passionate players. After all it is the pathan blood.

I watched the video. The deliveries aren’t that special. They just have 50 kmph pace which some of the “batsmen” are finding a hard time picking. He can’t bowl wicket to wicket and barely pitches the ball in line.

Common man, we are judging a little kid here so lets not be too strict..
Leg spin is one of the most difficult art..The kid needs to work on his line but there is defintely potential, he bowled some nice balls in the video and has a smooth repeatable action.

There are hundreds of kids ahead of him in street bowling stints. We shouldn’t over-hype him.

I can bat and score really big runs, but does that mean I am the next Saeed Anwar? Not really.

I agree on the age. He's twice as tall as a 6 year old. Closer to a teen than 6 so yes, 10 or 12.

He'll be a good player.

Do people realise that lying about the players age actually will set back their development in the long run as they play only against younger & less developed players at age group rep level (internationals and those who haven't lied) so don't develop to their own true peak?

Guys remember one thing.

Forget line and length, even mastering an action is a big deal at a young age

Leg spinner - check

Talented - check

Named Rashid Khan - check

Afghanistani - Check

Age reduced by 7-8 years - check

He has potential i tell you. Should be in the team by (mentioned) age 12.

I wouldn’t be suprised if a “12” year old debuts for Afghanistan in Test cricket just to set the record. ICC should set a minimum age at 15. Or else it’s child abuse. All sports in US have age minimum limits.

Very true but the accompanying hype for future greatness is a problem
