I thought it was plenty witty to be frank. Utilizing the latest air warfare humiliation India suffered with a captured fighter pilot, utilizing the tea cup metaphor as the World Cup and his constant refusal to answer strategic questions as a metaphor for cricketing ones.. there is plenty of creativity going on here.

But then again, perhaps it’s the difference in sense of humor across both sides of the border. Some people may find baap beta stuff hilarious while others might find it cringeworthy. Some may find using recent events as metaphor for cricket pretty creative.

Depends on who you are, I guess. We should not judge. However, let me reiterate, this sort of stuff prior to recording any victories “supposed”, “moral”, or “actual” is nothing but chest thumping and pointless. Whoever does come out victorious, will have so much satisfaction that they will quickly get over such ads.
Which is why no issue, Le lo tissue was probably most appropriate, well timed and creative of them all.

P.S: India should not have started this with baap beta and moqa moqa crap. Now we are just following suit and that doesn’t make it right... funny or not is besides the point..

What a poor ad, its not even funny but it thoroughly exposes the hypocrisy of Pakistani fans. It is them who are mixing politics with sports now.

The mauka-mauka and baap ads were funny because they reflected the reality of India's dominance over Pakistan on the Cricket field. Mauka mauka ad specially showed the frustration of every Pakistani fan since the 1992 world cup.

They did not make ads showing Hafiz Saeed and other Pakistani terrorists getting humiliated. An appropriate response to India could be an ad based on how Pakistan defeated India in the Champions Trophy final against all odds. That could have been funny but this one is just in poor taste.

Since Pakistani fans cannot leverage anything else when it comes to mocking India in Cricket, they will only use a non-Cricket event like Abhinandan's capturing for eternity.

It is inconseuential because they only won the World Cup in 2011. Cry me a River over one victory. I think we paid back with interest with the CT win.

We have been by far the better cricketing nation than they are historically and even now when they are at a peak and we are not so much, we are considered equally competitive.
