What's new

[VIDEO] All hail Mohammad Abbas - the leader of the pack in Tests for Pakistan!

Hoping he makes a comeback. Pakistan need a quality third pacer to have a world-class pace attack. Hasan and Shaheen cannot do it alone.

Speaking at the camp:

"Holding this camp is a good step by the PCB as we had some free time at our hands, and they called us over for this camp"

"To get a chance to work on fine-tuning your skills and carry out strength training during off-season is a good initiative"

"I will improve my fitness and strength and I will work on issues related to my bowling and fill in any missing bits in my skills"

"I am like an elder brother to all the players, and in this fielding session I was telling the boys to take care of certain aspects"

"There are guys in this camp who have been doing well in domestic cricket, so this is a good chance for them to showcase their skills in front of management"

"Whatever knowledge I have, I will look to transfer that to these players"

"Pakistan is a fertile ground for fast-bowling, and you see lots of new bowlers come up in every season, and this is good news for our cricket"

Abbas had the glimpse of Mcgrath and Asif in him. He faded suddenly. Hope he comes back strong.

He needs to get that extra yard of pace back.

Agreed, he needs to be operating at 82-83 mph consistently.

75-78 mph won't cut it for international level.

I suggest him improving the length of his runup.

Really hope this guy doesn't make it back in the national team to start bowling at 75 mph again the batsmen will just come out the crease against him and negate him .

Pakistan are better off in investing in someone like dhani , arshad, hasnain as a third seamer with hasan Ali and shaheen leading the attack .

He is definately an age fudger. Someone in his mid to late 30's already which explains his Khalid Mehmood pace.
