The issue of Ahmadi group is in my view one of the most emotionally charged issue in Pakistan. There aren't many issues that are as controversial as this one.

The issue came up in the local media when the government reported that the Ahmadi community had not been included in the minority commission by the government.

Speaking to the BBC on the issue, Saleemuddin, a spokesman for the Ahmadiyya Jamaat in Pakistan, said: "We have not applied to join the commission and have not been contacted by the government. ۔
