[VIDEO] Has Zak Crawley's antics turned the Lord's Test into a war zone for team India?

Which side was wrong on this occasion?

It seems like an overreaction from Shubman Gill. Anybody in Crawley's shoes would have done that. But the big question is, is it mandatory to end the Day's play at a particular time or when the visibility is fine, the umpires should persist with a minimum number of overs.

And was it Indian team's frustration with their own tail that forced them to vent the anger at Zak Crawley. Or Zak Crawley's attitude was too disappointing?

There wasn't anything wrong with what Crawley did. I stand with Crawley. :inti
Tbf Crawley started it but people need to stop their agendas. Gill ironically wasted more time by causing a fuss and consistently delaying it by demanding a penalty which was never going to be given 🤣🤣🤣.

Gill wasted way more time then Crawley did either intentionally or Unintentionally
Doesn't it ever bother you that you will probably never find an Englishman who will stand with a Bangladeshi?

The real reason of anguish by Gill's side

Team India’s tail once again disappoints — just 11 runs from the last three wickets, while England added 116! 👀😢🇮🇳

Crawley was hit on the gloves. No?

I think he was genuinely hurt. There was no evidence he was faking. Even if he was, these things are common in cricket.

India need to learn how to control emotions in situations like this. They also behaved like this in Australia (Bumrah and Konstas/Khawaja).

If Gill was getting a massage I don't see anything wrong with what Crawley did

Crawley usually has one innings per series in him. No better time for him to lock in and deliver tomorrow, adding salt to Indian wounds.
I just hope he does so, otherwise no need to carry him for the rest of the series.

Atleast Kohli had a personality and an aura. This guy inspires as much fear as a bowling spell from India’s 90s attack.
He has acted like an absolute idiot today and has used very rough language...Even if Crawley doesn't score big, he sure needs to hit one to this slender guy

Crawley needs to score a ton. No two ways about it. The whole cricketing world (minus India) is cheering him on just to stick it to this little brat..

Kohli's antics didn't exactly help India. He riled up Bairstow then he went nuclear on us in the 5th test. Until then he was subdued.
I'm talking about when Kohli was batting. Generally, whenever Kohli was batting and the bowlers tried to rile him up, it tended to backfire because it gave him more of an incentive to let loose. I think even Australian bowlers would attest to this..

THat was when he was at his peak. But after that Boland told even in press conference that how he was going to get Kohli out. Kohli somehow managed to get out the same way. People care about aura as long as they perform. Once you don't perform and still try to show aura it becoems irritating.

Gill seems to have this air of petulance arising from a real try-hard need to have some presence.

First all the crying about the ball (something he stupidly messed up himself by changing a moving ball), then this unnecessary nonsense. And no, sorry you ain’t intimidating anyone son

Did not know that Gill can be this fiery. First the dressing down of the umpires and now Crawley. Of course nothing will happen to Gill in terms of disciplinary action. The ECB and ICC will always choose money over everything. And this summer is a huge money spinner for the ECB to make any sort of complaint.

Even if ECB musters the courage to complain, the ICC will promptly push it under the carpet. Sssssh...

Crawley was just doing some self preservation. Being that he seems to already have one foot out the door from the playing eleven.

Yeah and Kohli's peak was legendary. That's why he still is the biggest superstar in cricket eventhough his best years ended like 5 years ago.

Fact is, Gill hasn't come close to hitting those highs. The one match he plays on a pitch that isn't a flat pancake he gets caught with the keeper standing up to the stumps. That's a reflection of where he is as a batsman. If I were him, I'd keep this lameduck Kohli imitation to a minimum and focus on my captaincy and batting. There was absolutely no need to go up to Crawley besides the fact that you are trying to show people that you are some kind of a tough guy (eventhough you are not).

Whole cricketing world = pakistan, bangladesh? lol I doubt any aussie will take Crawley's side. THey enjoyed the thrashing that England got last week.
Bro, I know you're a fan of Gill, but let's be honest, Gill was acting like a brat here. Getting a goddamn massage in the middle of the match and then this? We all saw him sledge in Australia...the guy has the charisma of cabbage. Why is he trying to do this fake tough guy persona when we all know this is not who he is. He ain't Kohli. No matter how much he may try to be

Well, Kohli is the king and Gill the prince. Follow the footsteps of the king?

The dumbest thing about his captaincy there was that the ball was actually doing something before genius threw a tantrum and wanted it changed for a random ball in the box.

Zak Crawley must be thankful that London doesn't come under the jurisdiction of DSP Siraj :kp

Nothing wrong with what Gill was doing. He is not just a player in team but a captain and is hungry enough to win games for his team. :inti

Crawley did the right thing, though it came as cowardly, he did the right to save his & his partner's wicket.

I didn't like the way Gill behaved, is he trying to mimick Kohli here....Seems to be a Punjabi thing be it Pakistani or Indian, trying to get into opposition's face at any chance they get and over does it....

AS THE TITLE IS QUITE CLEAR, IT IS NOT ABOUT KOHLI AND ROHIT ETC..

STAY ON TOPIC NOW

What are you blabbering about? We all know you will disappear off the face of the earth once India loses...just like you did last time:kp
I'll never leave or change the team support regardless of india win or lose .im not wannabe supporter :kp

Whole indian team is so dislikeable not even a single humble player in this team. I love it when they lose.
Come on England bury them.

Very cowardly stuff from Crawley. Sam Konstas had done the same during BGT which costed Khwaja's wicket. Umpires need to come strong in these situations and stop players from wasting time.

Interesting choice of words by the OP almost egging and trolling by equating it with war....

The meltdown is so funny tbh.
When the side you likes does something - that's so cool. When the other side stands up and retaliates - oh it's a meltdown

Someone giving back as good as they get is the opposite of meltdown. These are two evenly matched teams both not backing down. A concept fans of certain teams who are known to give up, would be unfamiliar with.

Both teams have been doing the exact same thing the entire series. You don't preach about humbleness to English players as you have an inferiority complex. According to you Asians should always be subservient to Westerners.
Gill while taking an 8 minute massage on the ground in the middle of the match::trump2

Gill when Crawley tries to waste a little bit of time in the last over of the day: :trump
Yes BOTH teams have been doing that. And both teams have been complaining about time wasting and getting frustrated.

It's funny when people here are blaming one team. It's the umpires to blame who have lost all control.

Yeah but only ONE team's captain went up to another team's player and made a taunt questioning his manhood. If Stokes had said something similar to KL or Jaiswal, Indians would have character assassinated him online by now and painted him as all sorts of things. Whatever you may say about time wasting, at the end of the day there is no excuse for acting like a p®i©k..

Also the difference between the two teams is that India was complaining about time-wasting. England were not.

30 overs of play have been lost by both teams over first 3 days and likely another 5 today.

If there is no result at the end of day 5, both captains and umpires need to be taken to task by ICC to explain how paying public and broadcasters are shortchanged by more than a session

Both do clownery but because of the sheer number of Indian Fans. The circus really feel global

Firstly, Prince becoming king... the prince this the king that...

What is wrong with you all? They are cricketers.... don't treat them like they're some royalty...

It's laughable the way the public buy into it this..

Secondly, what is all this entitlement stuff... pointing fingers and whinging...
Just get on with it

Gill's unnecessary jittering has actually turned this Test into a war...Good luck to both teams

Shubman Gill has broken his silence on the controversy involving England opener Zak Crawley. In a press conference, he said:

“When you’re giving it your all — mentally and physically — there will be moments when things get a bit heated from both sides. I think that’s what makes it more exciting and challenging. The next time we face each other, we know it won’t be easy. There can be moments of tension in the game of cricket, but you’re just trying to give your best.”
