It is the cricket scene in India that is richer even if the country is not richer. Indians are cricket crazy and BCCI has managed the finances well as compared to the rest of the country.

Take out the BCCI and the world cricket will flop in a year or two max. Everybody knows ICC is on a bull run because of the BCCI.

Well, thats the truth - India is funding global cricket at present. Cant think of any other international sport where one country totally dominates the funding. The way India managed to monetize its cricket audience is astounding & something Pakistan should try & replicate.

Its not that simple. I think the craze of Cricket in the two countries varies. Was just watching the highlights of test matches in India in the 90's and the stadiums were jam packed. In contrast the stadiums in Pakistan were more or less empty even when Pakistan had star players back then. Perhaps people in Pakistan don't have the same craze for Cricket than their neighbours.

Besides Pakistanis prefer to get things for free. The Indian public is willing to spend their money on going to the stadium, subscriptions etc

Yup. Pakistanis don't love cricket like Indians do.

That is a fake story. Cricket was running successfully before the riches of India.

I would say that the cricketers would have to take a massive pay cut if India pulls out from playing international cricket.

But its not as if those cricketers would then start playing football if that happens. Cricket shall continue.
