Kamran Akmal must not play even if he is selected ha ha. He was given more than 3 chances and had failed.

i was talking about the post #241.. and by the way they are not flat pitches which comes to ur hip height to hammer the ball.. It comes to the nose actually... just get over.. him and malik have become domestic bullies and sitting duck in int'l cricket...

Sounds like a good time to bump

As a person I'm fond of kamran but I reck this potenial recall will be disastrous, especially if he also takes the gloves

Said this before World T20 2014.

Badly again failed in his tenth or so come back.

Going to be in the squad again for World T20 Do hazaar sola. :srini :kakmal

There was our teacher in school , he used to give a generalised statement which was his takkia kalaam in some ways aswell.

It was :

" Maafi se humein kehna perhta hai , humein sharam he nai aati "

When did we become so unforgiving as a nation?

A drop catch here and there and everyone forgets who you are.

He dropped a catch 6 years ago guys, he didn't kill anyone, get over it.

Like it or not he's an honest hardworking lad like anyone of us. He's not a had haram.

A lot of the haters right now will be the same ones pinning their hopes on him to give Pakistan a rollicking start when India sets us 170+ to chase after ending Anwar Ali's career.

Kami will be the hope of the entire qom.

He's one cut shot away from getting back to form only if Shahid head and shoulders opens with him.

We should give Kami 1 final chance in this upcoming World Cup. :kakmal

Indian pitches will suit Kamis style

This will be Kamis final World Cup :kakmal

Never say never.

Hafeez is 35 and he is in line for WC 2019. Malik is 34 he is in line for WC 2019.
K. Akmal is 34 why can't he play in 2019 ?

Lol Sarfraz misses an easy peasy stumping as usual as we speak.

Kami would've been on it in a flash

Big opportunity for selecting Kamran missed. I say give Kamran Akmal 3 chances in world cup and see what he can do. Some player will be injured anyway and Kamran should play.

kami brigade will never give up. he is done, dusted, and never coming back.

Don't worry Kami- You'll get your three chances in MCL next year

Kamran is 1000 times better than Khurram Manzoor. Can hit 4s easily, rotate strike reasonably well. Must be brought back for T20 WC 2016. Atleast he will make 20-25 runs each match as opener.

Bring him back. Give him 3 chances. Has been a top performer in domestic this year.

“I am playing well. Just give me three chances as an opener and if I fail to deliver, then I will have no complaints even if I’ll be dropped permanently,” said the wicket-keeper before adding that he was looking to play for Pakistan for the next five to seven years.

somebody link this to kamran

Top-scorer of the PSL as an opener. InshAllah he will be rewarded soon.

He got more than three chances in the PSL. He failed in all of them besides three.

He looks like a three chance wonder.

It's weird seeing you post that word in support of a Pakistani player lol, I understand that you've always been a big fan of Big Kami but part of me also feels your love affair with him is to wind up PPers and go against the grain when it comes to the general consensus that Kamran should never play for the international team again

I guess Shehzad & Kamran are the ideal limited overs openers for you at the moment. To be honest there isn't much left either after Sharjeel's trouble and Azhar's (soon to be) exit.

you know what the problem is.

If he doesn't perform this time, he will cry and blame PCB for not selecting him and all, but he will not see that he is still making the same mistakes.

After this thread, Kamran did get 3 chances, and he did nothing. So where does that leave him?

I think everyone of us know that this comeback won't be different like last time, but if he doesnt accept responsibility of his poor performance this time, then why should PCB take blame?

I haven't hidden the fact that I have always had a soft spot for Kamran because he has played two of the finest Test innings for Pakistan in the last 15-20 years, both against India. Rescuing the team from 39-6 on a green-top to win the series and bat all day on day 5 against Kumble in India to save a match. It really doesn't get better than that. Not to mention he was a key player for Pakistan in the World T20s back when we were a top T20 team (2007, 2009, 2010).

It might be too late, but I would love to see him have a late resurgence at the international level like Malik. With Sharjeel, Latif and Azhar pretty out of the picture in Limited Overs, it would be great to see if Kamran can give us a couple of solid years before hanging his boots after the 2019 World Cup or the World T20 2020.

Both deserve it. They have looked superior to their competition in this tournament, and both have done really well this domestic season outside the PSL as well. Considering the fact that Sharjeel and Latif will be banned soon and Azhar will get eventually get dropped from the ODI team, we can do a lot worse than Shehzad and Kamran.

Yes that is a problem, but it is not a strong enough excuse to not select him. The difference this time is that he is having a brilliant domestic season. He talked up his batting before the PSL and how he is ready to perform and we thought it was hot air, but he walked the talk by top scoring in the PSL, when most people predicted that he will fail because he will not be able to cope with the pressure of a high-profile tournament with better quality than the other domestic tournaments. When someone is talking a good game and backing it up with performances, he should be picked.

This reminds of 2010-2011, when Malik was out of the team but was doing very well in domestic cricket. He was in great form and was imploring with the selectors to select him for the World Cup because he can make a difference in Asian conditions. In hindsight, he really could have done a better job than someone like Younis. Kamran might fail again, but IMO, he deserves another go.

Kamran doesn't have the fitness or age to help him bat for a long time the way he does and rely on those reflex's to muscle the ball, it has been said already that in his prime the man was inconsistent as it is; at this stage playing at the international level is another ball game altogether. Malik has a good work ethic and he's always been a bit of a touch and go player and the fitness is exceptional to so he has managed to combine all these aspects to perform well, that to under a stable line up where his role has been defined.

However, no denying that as of late in domestic cricket Kamran is having arguably his best season in terms of the numbers; what we can expect from him even at his best is inconsistency, so it's where you draw the line when it comes to the trade offs; inconsistency and a veteran who has been there before hold him back when others can be invested in given they ought to hang around a lot longer.

Kamran Akmal's comeback is inevitable after tonight, but just as inevitable will be his failure.

He won't be able to feast on juicy full tosses from kids like Usman Shinwari and Usama Mir as he did tonight, or Ravi Bopara's medium paced pies at international level.

Look at what happened the last time fans were clamouring for his recall after a good domestic run. When he returned to the ODI team in 2012-13 he averaged 16 from 17 matches ! In his last stint in T20Is, he averaged 14 !

So these domestic performances must be taken with a pinch of salt when we all know he'll be exposed at international level.

Markhor stop hating :)) Kami helped Pakistan win it's only ICC trophy in the 2000's and played two of the greatest Test knocks ever for a Pakistani batsman! you ought to save a bit more patriotism for him and not waste it all on Liverpool!

We can't keep selecting players on the basis of what they did 10 years ago !

I don't understand fans saying we need to build for 2019 WC and in the same breath demand the return of 35 year olds like Kamran Akmal. The sooner we dispense with the likes of Malik, Akmal bros, Hafeez etc the better.

I don't remember him playing for Pakistan in last few years. Did he ever get those three chances? Just curious...

The clamouring for a TTF who has consistently proven to be below mediocre throughout the years on PP shows precisely what is wrong with Pakistani Cricket and fans.

Three More Chances out for a duck.

How many more chances now ?

The clamouring for a TTF who has consistently proven to be below mediocre throughout the years on PP shows precisely what is wrong with Pakistani Cricket and fans.

Spot on.

I got sick and tired of debating laughable posters who kept saying ''he deserves it''. He deserves nothing, he's back to these rubbish performances THAT HE HAS HAD SINCE HIS CAREER STARTED.

Seems to be delivering on strike three.

this series: 47(48), 21(27), 0(1)

Pathetic with a capital P!:danny

Shouldn't have been selected in ODIs in the first place:inzi Inzi played a long con

Can't believe Fakhar missed out in ODIs because of this guy:facepalm:

I am playing well. Just give me three chances as an opener and if I fail to deliver, then I will have no complaints even if I’ll be dropped permanently

The selectors should have taken Kamran's advice.

Kamran Akmal 78 of 76 balls in One day cup semi final so far.Another hundred on the cards for him?

Whattay performance by Kamran Akmal with the bat in PSL. He deserved to be back in the international team as opener atleast for T20.

I reckon Kamran akmal and Umar Akmal can make it to the national team, at least at T20 level for now.

How many chances have been given then?

Thirty three?

I think he should be treated respectfully. PCB, and waqar to blame for destroying careers of Akmal brothers. I watched his interview and can't believe, waqar demoted Umar Akmal in Asia cup 2014 game after he scored 100 against Pak. Waqar may be ATG, but Kami was no less had he been treated fairly! Its shame how PCB destroyed careers of all three brothers.

Many people say that Kami dropped many catches, I can't believe this. He might have dropped only 20-30 catches in his international career, but people have hyped up a lot. And who don't drop catches. If our bowlers, are deadly, then they should be creating more chances not 1/2 chances in an entire test match, and then blame the poor Kami for everything. Cant our bowlers get batsman bowled/lbw or anything else. Why only to get flying edges [because our bowlers were tame that batsman try to whack them, and only in few scenarios, those whacks become thick edges for WK to take]

In addition, to that Kami carried the burden of our batting for so long. That even till today we don't have free flowing opening batsman. I am impressed by Kami interview, when someone asked, if he is not selected for CT 2017, did he think its a big loss? And he replied, whose loss will that be if they don't select him in CT? Pak cricket or him.

I also don't understand criticism of S Akhtar against him in 2011 WC. First catch was for first slip, not for K Akmal to take, and second he might have missed, because he wanted to be proactive in field.

And I am 100% sure, Mickey Arthur also played a big role in not selecting Akmal brothers. Because he feared that his favorite his players like Shadab Khan, Hafeez, and Mohammad Amir will be dropped for Akmal Brothers. And what wrong Khurram Manor did? Why he is not selected for International teams.

And I feel really sad for Sohail Tanvir, he should play up the order, he is a very good hitter.

My XI:

Kamran Akmal
Khurram Manzoor
Umar Akmal (C)
Babar Azam
Fawad Alam
Adnan Akmal
Sohail Tanvir
Mohammad Abbas
Mohammad Irfan (jnr)
Tabish Khan [ He is really fast bowler]
Sadaf Hussain

Brother are you trolling yourself?? Because I'm sure as hell you ain fooling anyone else right now!!!

Before I begin replying to all that what you've written I personally think that either you're Kamran Akmal himself, one of the two other Akmal brothers or a misguided Lahori but if you've neither one of these then I just feel sorry that there are people with the ability & coherence to use a computer/smartphone who are also genuine supporters of Kamran Akmal. Let's begin answering shall we?

I think he should be treated respectfully. PCB, and waqar to blame for destroying careers of Akmal brothers. I watched his interview and can't believe, waqar demoted Umar Akmal in Asia cup 2014 game after he scored 100 against Pak.

Firstly, he has been treated way over by the PCB than the respect he actually 'deserves'. A career spanning 268 matches across 15 YEARS I believe is a testament to that even though he's been totally GARBAGE all throughout his career.
You give reference to Umer Akmal's 100 - well brother! hate to break it to you that was #1 Against Afghanistan who were a proper minnow back in 2014 and #2 He was dropped earlier in his Innings (attempting that same tailenderish hoick that he so famously does ever game).

After that only he capitalized and score a century that too finishing exactly on 100 at the last ball of the innings (Noob Achievement). Umar hasn't scored a century after this and it remains his only valid contribution in his career which has spanned 8+ years Internationally as well.

Waqar may be ATG, but Kami was no less had he been treated fairly! Its shame how PCB destroyed careers of all three brothers.

Waqar may be an ATG?? I am sorry did you just question one of the finest bowlers to ever grace this planet as 'maybe an ATG??' The guy mastered the art of reverse swing at pace better than the likes of Wasim and Imran at an age when most young men are trying to find meaning in life.

In comparison Kamran Akmal will only be remembered for his dropped catches and his match fixing allegations - That's the legacy of your hero and the Akmal Family :14:

Many people say that Kami dropped many catches, I can't believe this. He might have dropped only 20-30 catches in his international career, but people have hyped up a lot. And who don't drop catches. Let me take the pleasure of destroying this argument left, right and center! Here is a list of all the catches dropped by Kamran Akmal since only 2006 [remember his career started in 2002, 4 YEARS EARLIER]

63.2 Collingwood was on 79(Final Score = 186)
Umar Gul to Collingwood, no run, gone, out, no! Dropped! Leg-cutter, outside edge straight to Kamran Akmal ? dreadful shot from Collingwood I might add ? and, somehow, Akmal shelled it. Deafening silence from the captain Inzamam-ul-Haq, and not much more being said from the slips. Ooh, that?s a shocker

2) http://www.espncricinfo.com/engvpak/engine/match/225257.html?innings=1;view=commentary
38.2 Collingwood was on 21(Final Score = 31)
Shahid Nazir to Collingwood, no run, yikes, Collingwood hangs his bat out to dry ? good away-swing from Shahid again ? but it passes his outside edge. Nevertheless, Akmal somehow drops a clanger and the ball bobbles from his gloves

3) http://www.espncricinfo.com/engvpak/engine/match/225257.html?innings=3;page=1;view=commentary
5.4 ME Trescothick was on 7(Final Score = 58)
Umar Gul to Trescothick, no run, DROPPED, Kamran Akmal has dropped him. A terrific ball from Gul rising on Trescothick who feathers an edge. Gul goes up to celebrate but Akmal, with iron gloves, clangs a sitter

36.1 KP Pietersen was on 15 (Final Score = 96)
Danish Kaneria to Pietersen, no run, oooh, outside edge and dropped. Snorter of a delivery, Pietersen's caught in two minds, and Akmal can't hold on to the feather. Kaneria's just not having the luck today.

83.1 DBL Powell was on 1 (Final Score = 1)

17.2 AG Prince was on 2 (Final Score = 2)
Mohammad Sami to Prince, no run, ooh, dropped by Akmal. That was a long way across Prince, who slashes a thick edge through and it pops in and out of Akmal's gloves at chest height. What a costly miss that could be - Prince has been in such good form

8) http://www.espncricinfo.com/rsavpak/engine/match/250666.html?innings=1;view=commentary
22.3 Gibbs was on 2 (Final Score = 2)
Danish Kaneria to Gibbs, no run, ooh! Edge again - but dropped. Kaneria sent the ball bending back in at the right hander, taking the edge and spilled again by Akmal. Good bowling, this

9) http://www.espncricinfo.com/rsavpak/engine/match/250666.html?innings=3;page=2;view=commentary
70.1 Kallis was on 63 (Final Score = 91)
Danish Kaneria to Kallis, no run, oh no - has Akmal dropped yet another one? Ooh, not sure - Kallis went chasing that one and seemed to feather it through to Akmal who drops it. But the replays are inconclusive. Akmal's having a poor match anyway.

10) http://www.espncricinfo.com/rsavpak/engine/match/250666.html?innings=3;page=3;view=commentary
103.1 MV Boucher was on 27 (Final Score = 46)
Mohammad Hafeez to Boucher, no run, Akmal drops another one! tossed up and this one turned back in sharply, Boucher defends on the back-foot and the ball clips the inside edge and goes behind but Akmal fails to hold on to a fairly easy chance. He is clearly having a tough time out there

55.6 Tendulkar was on 28 (Final Score = 82)
Mohammad Sami to Tendulkar, 1 run, dropped by Akmal. Not a surprise, actually. Only surprise is he usually catches Tendulkar. It was banged in short, outside off stump, Tendulkar decides late to go for a upper cut, doesn't connect properly and Akmal thrusts his right glove out but fails to hold on and ends up palming it behind him.

52.6 Hussey Was on 27 (Final Score = 134)
Danish Kaneria to Hussey, no run, trying playing defensively from the crease, Hussey's beaten by a ball that rips past the outside edge of his upright bat Subsquent replays suggest this may have been a dropped catch by Kamran Akmal. If it was it only got the faintest edge from Hussey's bat. Oh yes, definitely an edge looking at it from front-on.

113.2 PM Siddle was on 25 (Final Score = 38)

4.3 AJ Strauss was on 15 (Final Score = 45)
Mohammad Amir to Strauss, no run, 136.0 kph, dropped! Kamran, what have you done? Perfect outswinger from Aamer, Strauss edges and Akmal puts down the simplest of chances. Kamran kept so well against Australia - relatively speaking, anyway - but this is the worst possible start for him against England

24) http://www.espncricinfo.com/england-v-pakistan-2010/engine/match/426413.html?innings=3;page=1;view=commentary
22.4 Collingwood was on 0 (Final Score = 1)
Umar Gul to Collingwood, no run, 142.1 kph, oh no! Kamran has gone from hero back to zero! Dropped! After just pulling off a stunner he's put Collingwood down first ball, it was wide, Collingwood flashed a cut and edges it towards first slip, Akmal flew across and dropped the chance

25) http://www.espncricinfo.com/england-v-pakistan-2010/engine/match/426415.html?innings=1;view=commentary
37.3 MJ Prior was on 29 (Final Score = 84*)
Mohammad Asif to Prior, 4 leg byes, 128.9 kph, and that one's dropped, but a very tough chance for Kamran. You can't expect him to take that - it's an inside edge onto the thigh and then sneaking past the stumps, Kamran dives and just gets his left fingertip to the ball as it runs away towards fine leg for a boundary
Steve Davis has called that leg byes, but there was an inside edge on it, no question

Rehman sees him and fires it wide, Sanga misses and is halfway down the track. Kamran whips the bails off. Find the missing link - yes, Kamran did not collect. I now know the only weak link in Pakistan's side. It is behind the stumps.

It cut across from the leg stump line, went right across the batsman who was squared-up in defense. the ball flew to left of Akmal, who was initially moving to his right. He then threw a big dive with outstretched left hand but couldn't hold on. Replays don't confirm an edge. It seems it went off the thigh.

Shoaib Akhtar to Taylor, FOUR, Ross gets a birthday gift, it's the Kamran moment, Shoaib got the edge with a perfect delivery that zipped away just a shade, the ball flew between younis and Kamran, who initially appeared to go for it, and then did the keeper's version of shouldering arms, stood stone still, as a bemused Younis looked on

Prince got a big inside edge and there was a regulation catch, low to his right, which slips out of his gloves while the players are busy celebrating. 89) http://www.espncricinfo.com/icc-wor.../533283.html?innings=1;page=1;view=commentary
31.4 Wade was on 17 (Final score = 22)
Azhar Ali to Wade, 1 wide, 83.5 kph, and Kamran misses a stumping, Wade walks out to one going down leg quickly, but Kamran fails to gather, Azhar has his hand on his face in anguish

90) http://www.espncricinfo.com/pakistan-v-australia-2012/engine/current/match/571147.html
15.5 Nassir Hossain was on 1 (Final Score = 16)
Shahid Afridi to Nasir Hossain, no run, beaten as Afridi slowed it up, the conventional legspinner, Nasir played at it and got a thin edge that was dropped by Kamran Akmal, sharp chance put down

91) http://www.espncricinfo.com/icc-wor.../533283.html?innings=1;page=1;view=commentary
0.6 Amla was on 2 (Final score = 6)
Raza Hasan to Amla, no run, dropped, Kamran's let Amla off. Amla tried to whack the ball inside out over the off side once again and edged it, fairly routine chance and Akmal fails to hold on. Amla was well out of his crease, could have been stumped as well

92) Mohammad Irfan to de Villiers, 1 wide, another one down the leg side and is called a wide. But there was some interest by the bowler. It did take a faint nick, but wouldnt have mattered as Kamran didn't take it cleanly

93) Saeed Ajmal to Amla, no run, beautifully bowled! How did that miss the stumps! It was tossed up outside off, it dipped in very quickly as Amla went for the drive and squeezes between the bat and pad, goes over the stumps. A stumping chance missed too as Akmal gets surprised by that too..It hits him on his chest

94) Mohammad Irfan to Iqbal, no run, dropped!Iqbal goes feeling for the cut outside off, nicked through to the keeper and Kamran shells it diving low to his right, not an easy catch but he should be taking that

95) http://www.espncricinfo.com/world-t20/engine/match/682927.html
9.6 Finch was on 34 (Final Score = 65 )
Saeed Ajmal to Finch, no run, another doosra and I cannot understand how that has missed off stump! Tentative push from Finch, who had not picked it and is lucky to survive as the ball bounces right over the off bail and thuds into the keeper's gloves and promptly falls out. There was an outside edge too Ajmal throws a forlorn look back as Pakistan drop a crucial catch.

96) http://www.espncricinfo.com/west-indies-v-pakistan-2017/engine/match/1077947.html?innings=1;view=commentary
11.2 Pollard was on 2 (Final Score = 14)
Shadab Khan to Pollard, 1 run, Dropped! Kamran shells it at backward point. Why is he fielding at backward point? Shadab could have had 4 for 3. Tossed-up legbreak, turns away just outside off, Pollard swishes and skews it to the right of Kamran. He was painfully slow to react. Dives late to his right but can't close his fingers around the ball. It pops out. It looks ugly. Pakistan could have had Babar, Shehzad or Malik at backward point

97) http://www.espncricinfo.com/west-indies-v-pakistan-2017/engine/match/1077951.html
16.1 Powell was on 16 (Final Score = 23)
Imad Wasim to Powell, no run, dropped! And the pressure should have brought a wicket. Akmal spills a simple chance at mid-off. That's a bit village. Powell used his feet, drove in the air, and it was straight at him

Since 2006 Kamran Akmal has dropped 97 catches/stumpings/rounout chances in TOTAL and due to these drops Pakistan concieded 2475 RUNS extra across 93 innings. In the same period Kamran has played 194 innings (all formats) and scored 4654 runs. Lets now do some simple maths again.

(a) If we minus out the runs conceided due to his 97 drops his batting Average drops to 11.xx per game (all formats included)
(b) 93 drops across 194 innings (half of his careers stats only) means that he has a 50% of dropping a catch per game and a 100% of shelling an opportunity every second game!
(c) In short he scores 11 runs per game (on aveage) and shells a chance every game. (ATG INDEED!)

It wasn't anyone's loss rather it was a blessing for Pakistan, Pakistani Awam and for cricket lovers in general. Kamran Akmal should never have played cricket for Pakistan or should've ceased to play any games post 2010 Sydney debacle which to this very day is a test match marred with controversy and allegations of spot fixing.

I hope all this information helps you understand the damage he has done to Pakistan Cricket.

P.S. If mods allow I can forward you the links to all the dropped catches and the online compilation that people have done on this 'ATG' wicket keeper!

Danish Kaneria to Hussey, no run, trying playing defensively from the crease, Hussey's beaten by a ball that rips past the outside edge of his upright bat Subsquent replays suggest this may have been a dropped catch by Kamran Akmal. Mohammad Amir to Strauss, no run, 136.0 kph, dropped! Kamran, what have you done? Perfect outswinger from Aamer, Strauss edges and Akmal puts down the simplest of chances.

6.6 Trescothick was on 6 (Final Score = 6)

Saeed Ajmal to Dhoni, no run, Dropped by Akmal. Tough chance. T'was a topspinner outside off stump, Dhoni tries to cover drive, edges and it deflects to Akmal's right pad

36.6 Sharma was on 9 (Final Score = 22)
Shoaib Akhtar to Sharma, 1 run, all night Akmal has been appealing without any edges, now he gets a regulation edge and he drops it! Poor keeping really! Beats me how this man is keeping in international cricket! Sharma goes chasing, edged away slightly wide of him, he sticks out one firm hand and it bounces off it. Really didn't have to go too far

2.5 Dilshan was on 12 (Final Score = 18)
Shoaib Akhtar to Dilshan, FOUR, Edged between the keeper and the first slip. It pitched well ahead of the cordon and rolled away. It was around 145 kmph back-of-length delivery and Dilshan went for the cut and edged. Kamran dived but couldn't reach in time

52) http://www.espncricinfo.com/asia2010/engine/match/455231.html?innings=1;view=commentary
8.4 Jayawardene was on 0 (Final Score = 54)
Mohammad Asif to Jayawardene, FOUR, Edged but Kamran couldn't get to it. It was a lovely leg cutter around off - a classic Asif delivery - and Mahela had a lame poke at it,. Almost fatal. The gap between the keeper and slip was wide and Kamran dived but couldn't reach

53) http://www.espncricinfo.com/asia2010/engine/match/455231.html?innings=1;view=commentary
41.2 Kulasekara was on 5 (Final Score = 14)
Shahid Afridi to Kulasekara, 1 wide, Stumping chance missed. Not a surprise if you have followed Kamran's career. It was down the leg side and Kula had leaned forward to flick and lost balance and had stepped well out of the crease. But Kamran doesn't collect it cleanly. Oh well

54) http://www.espncricinfo.com/asia2010/engine/match/455235.html?innings=2;page=1;view=commentary
43.2 Shkib ul Hassan was on 2 (Final Score = 25)
Abdur Rehman to Shakib Al Hasan, 3 runs, thank God for some constants in life! Kamran Akmal has dropped one! Difficult edge, though, a thick one and a decent deflection. But thankfully some things never change

55) http://www.espncricinfo.com/england-v-pakistan-2010/engine/match/426430.html?innings=2;page=1;view=commentary
18.5 Yardy was on 0 (Final Score = 4)
Umar Gul to Yardy, 1 run, Kamran Akmal drops it! Calamity Kamran strikes again! Gul finds a thickish outside edge that goes low and wide to Kamran, diving one-handed to his left and he couldn't quite hold on. Looks to have damaged his finger as well

56) http://www.espncricinfo.com/new-zealand-v-pakistan-2010/engine/match/473927.html?innings=2;page=1;view=commentary
44.1 NL McCullum was on 4 (Final Score = 14)
Wahab Riaz to NL McCullum, 1 run, somethings in Pakistan cricket never change. Like the fact that inevitably, Kamran Akmal will drop a catch. He's done it again. Short ball, Nathan gets a top edge behind his head and it was a dolly for Kamran who was moving back. And he put it down.

57) http://www.espncricinfo.com/icc_cricket_worldcup2011/engine/match/433567.html?innings=2;page=1;view=commentary
30.1 Sangakkara was on 22 (Final Score = 49)
Abdur Rehman to Sangakkara, 5 wides, Kamran fluffs a stumping, all is well with the world, Rehman beat Sanga with some flight, and angling it down the leg side, he got some extra bounce again, which beat Kamran totally, Sanga was in no position to get back

58) http://www.espncricinfo.com/icc_cricket_worldcup2011/engine/match/433567.html?innings=2;page=1;view=commentary
34.6 Sangakkara was on 33 (Final Score = 49)
Abdur Rehman to Sangakkara, 1 wide, Kamran, oh Kamran. Another fluffed stumping. Same as before, Sanga jumps out a mile looking to flick. Rehman sees him and fires it wide, Sanga misses and is halfway down the track. Kamran whips the bails off. Find the missing link - yes, Kamran did not collect. I now know the only weak link in Pakistan's side. It is behind the stumps.

59) http://www.espncricinfo.com/icc_cricket_worldcup2011/engine/match/433574.html?innings=2;page=1;view=commentary
3.1 Gunasekera was on 8 (Final Score = 8)
Umar Gul to Gunasekera, no run, dropped by Kamran or did it go off the back thigh? It cut across from the leg stump line, went right across the batsman who was squared-up in defense. the ball flew to left of Akmal, who was initially moving to his right. He then threw a big dive with outstretched left hand but couldn't hold on. Replays don't confirm an edge. It seems it went off the thigh.

60) http://www.espncricinfo.com/icc_cricket_worldcup2011/engine/match/433581.html?innings=1;view=commentary
13.2 Taylor was on 0 (Final Score = 131*)
Shoaib Akhtar to Taylor, FOUR, Ross gets a birthday gift, it's the Kamran moment, Shoaib got the edge with a perfect delivery that zipped away just a shade, the ball flew between younis and Kamran, who initially appeared to go for it, and then did the keeper's version of shouldering arms, stood stone still, as a bemused Younis looked on

61) http://www.espncricinfo.com/icc_cricket_worldcup2011/engine/match/433581.html?innings=1;view=commentary
13.4 Taylor was on 8 (Final Score = 131*)
Shoaib Akhtar to Taylor, no run, oh I don't believe this, two birthday gifts is too much, from the same man too, Shoaib has Ross pushing at a one that held its line, and the healthy edge goes ever so slowly to Kamran who is in good position to take it, gets gloves on it, and clangs it, Shoaib can't do anything about it, boy is he distraught

62) http://www.espncricinfo.com/icc_cricket_worldcup2011/engine/match/433581.html?innings=1;view=commentary
30.4 Styris was on 4 (Final Score = 28)
Shahid Afridi to Styris, 1 run, another drop from Kamran, outside off, Styris looks to stab it from the crease, edged and Kamran's horror day continues, Afridi is not amused

63) http://www.espncricinfo.com/england-v-pakistan-2010/engine/match/426413.html?innings=1;page=2;view=commentary
70.2 Collingwood was on 48(Final Score = 82)
Danish Kaneria to Collingwood, no run, missed stumping! Kamran's really not having a good day... Collingwood charged down the track, was beaten in the air and by the turn. He was practically walking off he was so far down, but Kamran fumbled the take, and couldn't pick the ball up before the batsman got back in. Kaneria really needed that wicket - Pakistan needed it!

64) http://www.espncricinfo.com/engvpak/engine/match/225258.html?innings=1;view=commentary
40.3 Mahmood was on 0 (Final Score = 15)
Danish Kaneria to Mahmood, 4 byes, ah, should have been out. Mahmood came down the wicket aiming to hoick that over mid-on; instead he completely missed it and should have been stumped by yards but Akmal didn’t even move and the ball flew past his gloves really easily

65) http://www.espncricinfo.com/rsavpak/engine/match/250666.html?innings=3;page=1;view=commentary
40.4 Prince was on 17 (Final Score = 22)
Danish Kaneria to Prince, no run, stumping chance missed! A lovely teasing flighted delivery, again Prince comes down the track and is beaten by the flight and the dip. The ball threads through the bat and pad gap and is just outside off stump and Akmal clangs it. Would have been definitely out had he gathered.

66) http://www.espncricinfo.com/pakvsl/engine/match/385750.html?innings=1;view=commentary
34.2 Jayawardena was on 5 (Final Score = 24)
Shahid Afridi to Jayawardene, no run, went through him! Kept low there, pitched on a good length outside off, just fractionally wide of the off stump, and spun away, Mahela failed to get his bat down in time and the ball clipped his back pad on the way to the keeper. Replays indicate there was an inside edge, but a really tough chance there for the keeper.

67) http://www.espncricinfo.com/pakvwi/engine/match/374061.html?innings=2;page=1;view=commentary
15.2 Gayle was on 34 (Final Score = 122)

118.6 Pathan was on 23 (Final Score = 102)
Danish Kaneria to Pathan, no run, fullish and outside the off, played at with hard hands, the ball slips past bat, the reactions from Akmal, who gloves the ball to the floor, and the bowler, suggest that there might have been an edge to that

69) http://www.espncricinfo.com/ausvpak09/engine/match/406199.html?innings=1;page=2;view=commentary
74.6 Ponting was on 30 (Final Score = 57)
Mohammad Asif to Ponting, no run, forward with bat and pad to a good delivery that nips through the batsman's defence, if he nicked it it was of no consequence since Kamran Akmal failed to take it cleanly
Replays suggest Ponting probably got an inside edge. So perhaps we can put that one down as a drop to Kamran Akmal.

70) http://www.espncricinfo.com/england-v-pakistan-2010/engine/match/426429.html?innings=2;page=1;view=commentary
40.6 Morgan was on 1 (Final Score = 16)

19.6 Taylor was on 36 (Final Score = 37*)
Mohammad Asif to Taylor, 1 run, low full toss pulled high in the air off the bottom of the bat and that's a poor piece of keeping from Akmal who calls for it... and then fluffs it. That may be amusing, but let's hope for his sake that it doesn't come down to a run...

15.4 Mahmudullah was on 0 (Final Score = 0)
Mohammad Sami to Mahmudullah, no run, dropped by Kamran Akmal! Thickish inside edge that darted in, and Kamran had to regroup and dive to his left. In the end, he did well to stop what would have been a sure four

14.2 AB de Villiers was on 34 (Final Score = 53)
Abdur Rehman to de Villiers, no run, goes for the sweep shot, it bounces over the middle stump line and Akmal doesn't collect it cleanly. Was there an edge? The replays aren't conclusive. BAd angles basically

62.5 Prince was on 58 (Final Score = 59)
Shahid Nazir to Prince, no run, oh no! Akmal's had a(nother) shocker there. Prince got a big inside edge and there was a regulation catch, low to his right, which slips out of his gloves while the players are busy celebrating. It's unlikely to have made a huge difference, in truth, but it won't have done Akmal's confidence, nor his reputation, any good

85) http://www.espncricinfo.com/icc_cricket_worldcup2011/engine/current/match/433596.html
39.4 Krejza was on 0 (Final Score= 7)

31.1 Chanderpaul was on 24 (Final Score = 44*)
Saeed Ajmal to Chanderpaul, no run, regulation miss of a stumping from Kamran. Zipping offie outside off, leads Chanders out and he misses the flick. Kamra had to collect and break the stumps, instead it hit his glove and thudded into his chin.

29.3 Tendulkar was on 70(Final Score = 85)
Shahid Afridi to Tendulkar, no run, Dropped again Shahid Afridi holds his head again! Dropped by Kamran. Tough chance, though. It was the leg break and Tendulkar edged his defensive push. The ball deviated a lot and Kamran couldn't move his hands to his right in time. Tough chance for Kamran's standards. How many is too many? So many lives!

Uhmm relax he was being sarcastic. Terrific post though.

Sick and tired of Kami, but if we must waste an opening slot on him or Shezzy in T20s, I'd rather take Akmal. Akmal is either a passenger or a decent contributor, Shezzy has a genuinely detrimental gear in him.

Finally, someone who understands the Akmals like I do :P

The funny thing is, if you listen to the Akmals, they have deluded themselves into thinking this is all actually true!

The Akmal brothers see themselves as Nelson Mandela and Martin Luther King - the men who suffered greatly in the pursuit of justice :))

Its kind of upsetting to see TTF getting opportunities to play the PSL whereas new younger players don't.

This is media XI.

Now people will say Hafeez is also backed by media. That's TRUE. But at least ,he is better than TTF's (somehow because of chucking , scoring runs against mediocre sides, or just luckily scoring runs in all - important games)

Not a good time to bump lol

Kami has been in great form and should be in the Pakistan's LOI squads. We have all seen 'young' and 'emerging' talent.lol
Our batting talents have been flops. Even Hafeez and Malik have failed big time. Kami should be in the team replacing Malik.

What a performance by Kamran in PSL today. He should be definitely selected as opener in T20 internationals. Can't keep this guy out anymore. He deserves atleast 3 chances if not more.

If collectively as a fan base we are this stupid, we deserve to loose

People wont see it bro. They have short term memory loss. They see a good innings and want to include the player. They see a bad innings they want to exclude the player. No concept of context or history whatsoever.
