Most of these Muslims are Tamils therefore the ethnic angle cannot be ruled out either.

Did ´he say we should not see a Sinhalese, Tamil, Muslim or a Burger? Anyway I have been to SL loads of times, especially to the resorts in Kandy and Bentota (Colombo wasn't that good) and have many good friends in the area (Especially a Muslim singer whom I got to know at the Ramada, Dubai which I used to frequent who could sing almost any English song, old or new (My usual request was This Love by Maroon 5 and I wanna hold your hand by The Beatles at the time and he automatically played it when I walked in). I helped with a couple of local matters and then even stayed at his house in Kandy when I visited SL the following year. They always were such simple, genuine, accommodating people. I also had a couple of SL beddies in prison but thats another thing.

P.S- My last visit was 6 years ago so don't really know what has brought this on though.

Great messages by Sanga and Mahela though. Imagine our cricketers speaking about religious injustice against the blasphemy laws, minorities or Ahmadiyas. Good on them.

Good on them. The last time Wahab Riaz wished happy birthday to the great Abdus Saam on Twitter, he received abuse and was forced to take down the tweet.
