Rizwan was hugging Bangladeshi players when Salman was abusing them and they were responding back. What a clown this guy is lol? And then he plays a hacky shot and gets out in the same over. If i was a selector I will drop this guy forever @Rana
He was calming Liton down, you and Rana have made out he stuck his tongue inside Litons mouth

Salman Ali Agha's response in post match presser 👇

"What happened after the dismissal, it was heat of the moment. Regarding the dismissal though, what he did, if he thinks it is right, it is right. But I would have done things differently"
Let's say Agha had taken that single.

You still would have lost by 127 runs :sarf2

Nangin kitty cat on purpose got in Salman's way to prevent him from getting back to the crease.

P.S. Salman looks like an Azhar Mahmood twin 😆
Mehdi clearly blocked Agha's way. no doubt Agha should be more concerned about getting back rather than picking up ball. But this was extremely poor from cheap and pathetic cricketing nation.

It's more mental mate, either in your mind you are oppressed and suppressed or dominant and a champ, nothing to do with meat non meat eating psuedo science....

I was stooping to the level of some posts common here on pp. Tbh it's both. U need strength to pin down or push aside someone trying to block u

Why do our players have to try and prove their “sportsmanship” and “ambassadorship” to the game?

All this back slapping, smiling, queuing up to shake the opponents hand when theyve smashed you across the park, picking the ball up for the bowler, giving christmas gifts. What the heck is wrong with these fools. Just shut up and play the game and play to win.

The Bangladeshi player may well have done something unsporting, but it’s your job to protect your wicket. As they say in boxing “protect yourself at all times”

Also don’t know how many of you actively play sports but sometimes instinct takes over due to adrenaline. Miraz was just in his follow through and acted purely out of instinct.

Why is Agha holding a ball in game play?

If he had a few seconds to think and do it maybe I would say wrong spirit even though within the rules.

However I feel an international cricketer and that too a captain getting out this way is the least punishment he can get away with. If Gambhir was the coach, he would bench a player for 5 games for this kind of lack of awareness.

I have no problem with lack of sportsmanship. In fact I think if it's legal, within the rules, it's within the sportsmanship.

If there's a problem with an act in sports. Then make it illegal.

However on this particular instance, Salman wanted to get back in crease but the bowler came in his way (doesn't matter if he was after the ball or not). As soon a batter or a bowler comes in other's way. It's obstruction and no advantage needs to be given to the other party for obstructing. Hence the ball should've been dead right there and then.

This was a mistake by the umpire. Plenty of times in Cricket before we have seen batters getting obstruct by the bowlers. At times even collide. But none of the bowlers thinks of running the batter out because it was a clear intentional or unintentional obstruction by them.

Lastly there was no question of Salman taking a run. Salman was one feet away from the stumps on non strikers end when the ball stopped around his legs. There was no threat or advantage Salman could've taken.

Umpires are to be blamed for wrong decision.

Kumar Dharmasena has become a horrible umpire off late. It all started off with his weird obsession with selfies.

Although it was in poor taste, it was still legal. In an international match, there are no friendships between the teams once the match starts. Agha should have been careful. If someone does it in a world cup knockout match, then what?

Dharmasena has ALWAYS been one of the BICC Pak hating stooges - his marginal decisions always favored the oppositions. I never liked this idiot 🙄

Your point would be valid if Salman had the awareness of the rules. But as we can see from the video 1) he never even tried to push the fielder or shown willingness to get back to the crease 2) instead of trying to reach the crease, he was busy helping his long lost brother to hand over the ball - what is that circus?

If there is no willingness exhibited by the bat to get to the crease, that batsman basically loses the right to appeal for obstruction.

Mehidy behaved like a complete coward. He should lose his captaincy for this.

Feel bad for Agha. He was trying to be a gentleman by handing over the ball. Miraz behaved like a complete Karen.

Lesson: In life, never take anything for granted and don't keep any loophole open. You never know what kind of Karen you may encounter. :inti

What Mehidy did could be fair or not. Still I have one question. What is the need for a batsman to pick up the ball? The batsman has to get to the crease first. These days with so much in stake in each match, teams need not adhere to fair play rules or sportsman spirit. The same thing could happen in a match against Australia or South Africa also. If the non striker batsman is out of the crease, he could be run out by the bowler which is based on the rules.

What a shameful act it was from Miraz... I would have allowed mankad, but this run out was totally unethical...

Can't speak for others but I would have been extremely ashamed if an Indian player did it. Kohli has already done things till date that has left some biter taste in my mouth. No more of any of these stuff from my team.

Whoever is defending Agha needs a reality check. Bro is outside the crease, ball is still in play and even tries to pick up the ball. Rightfully given out. Stupidity at max

Technically mehdi was within his right to run agha out maybe not sportsmanship you expect from a fellow professional player but what was agha doing no game awareness at all he gave an opportunity to an opponent to run him out unnecessarily and we had a mini collapse

Fair by the laws but borderline bush telegraph in spirit; Agha's lapse invited it, yet Miraz could have built goodwill by withdrawing the appeal.

You have to also think this is the brotherly mulq of Pakistan you are playing against. Maybe Bangladesh players are unhappy with PCB's support to BCB, that had further dented their chances of WC participaation

The issue should be burried and be treated as a non issue now because at the end of the day Pakistan won the game.

Sri Lankans reacted more emotionally to the Angelo Mathews incident because they also ended up losing the game.
