[VIDEO] Mohammed Hasnain - Exciting new pacer

Picked for Qea but missing game time.

If he is fit he must be playing domestic cricket.

He’s been drafted into the U19 Asia Cup squad for some weird reason. You’d think playing F.C. cricket would be more beneficial. Basit Ali is a bit of an idiot.

I think Hasnain should be playing Under 19 Cricket for Pakistan. It’s good exposure aswell.

But like Shaheen he should have been playing F.C and List A Cricket aswell. Not all matches but atleast few matches rather than warming the bench.

If Hasnain has lost pace as one poster has informed than it’s a blow because clearly He seems hitting 145kph in the video and that’s sharp for his age.

Hopefully he will be selected for the PSL this time around

Having seen Musa in the U19 WC, he should have been mived on to play QAT and challenging for the national team.

Wicket in his 1st over for Pak under 19 and listed as right arm fast

Just a shame Islamabad United let him go and only due to Nasim Shahs injury he got picked as a replacement.

so we wouldn't have seen him. Such a shame considering that rubbish like sami, tanvir, irfanjnr, ghulam are playing.

Now we can say that it was a mistake but Islu wasn't sure about him post injury with Hasnain having almost no game time.

Has he slightly altered his action post injury ?

What a spot by Waqar
Wasim Akram had a hand in Amirs first selection and now Waqar has Hasnain.
Hopefully their fast bowling rivalry will continue in searching for new talents

Cool as a cucumber in the final.

Big match, no nerves.

Only bowled 1 bad ball today and that was the last one of his spell - and I will tell him that :)

Good kid this with a bright future.

I think he can be a mentally strong player and we need such players.

You could clearly see today that some of other Pak players like Umar Akmal, Umar Amin, Shehzad (while fielding) and Sohaib Maqsood felt the heat and were clearly under pressure in the final in front of a big crowd.

very cool nerves, no pressure taken.

but on the talent side he is not that good as was expected when he bowl that 150k delivery.

He’s an 18 year old kid who has bowled brilliantly. People are obsessed with the speedometer. He is quick! A must for the World Cup!

What?

The kid took 3 wickets in the final, he was man of the match.

What did you want 6 wickets and 50 runs?

did not crack 150k again in fact did not crack even 145k; 150k is looking more like an aberration

He did touch around 145-146 kph in the final and average pace which effected from slower balls was around 142 kph.

Your expectations are a bit too much, I dont remember how many matches it has been for Starc, Cummins or even Rabada when they touched 150 kph.

In current era if you regularly touch mid 140 kph than its good pace. 150 kph doesnt happen for any bowler in every match. You also have to remember he is just 18-19 years old.

yeah I am typical Pakistani fan :ik

he didn't bowl as quick in the final as previous matches

But he took 3-30 and bowled beautifully.

I couldn't care less if he bowled underarm, to get 3-30 in a PSL final at his age was superb.

Sure, but what caught everyone's attention was his pace

Kid definitely made an impact in the PSL, smooth action, cool as a cucumber, couldn't care less about his pace right now, needs to be around the right people!

It's like posters on here just want a kid that not filled out in any way yet, is still very young and has just started his career, to go all out and bowl 150kph+ every delivery.

It's like these posters never learn and don't know a thing about pushing your body to a limit and it breaks down one way or another.

Just recently Naseem Shah did exactly that and his body couldn't take it and he had a back injury that put him out for some months. Amir did the same when he was younger too.

Interesting that since the recall of Wahab, Hasnain suddenly started bowling super quick again. He seemed to drop his speed a touch since his explosive PSL debut, but since Wahab came back into the side, suddenly Hasnain was firing majority of his deliveries at 90mph plus against Afghanistan.

Maybe the selection of an out and out pace bowler sent a message to Hasnain that pace matters. Don't know if the coaches have been telling him to concentrate on line and length, but then the selection of Wahab showed Hasnain that he was picked as a fast bowler so better to show what he can do.

Maybe Wahab had a word with him in the nets..bowlers do talk and Im sure they will exchange notes..

So you mean to say Wahab is a better bowling coach than Azhar Mahmood?

Only in Pak will we hire a bowling coach who was a better batsman than bowler and strictly average in both departments.

Interesting thing is that Wahab himself was not bowling at full tilt, maybe he was acclimatising to English grounds. I think just the presence of an out and out fast bowler maybe inspired the competitive streak in Hasnain.

Don't know if the coach is telling Hasnain to cut down the pace, but even in the PSL Hasnain slowed down later in the competition. I remember telling my brother to watch out for him, and he then started to bowl mid 80's stuff and my brother said, don't see what all the fuss is about.

Suddenly in the game against Afghanistan he started looking like a genuine quick again.

Yeah he was really really impressive in that match in terms of pace against Afghanistan even my friend from college(Indian) was telling me that new kid is quite impressive in terms of pace.I really hope he never cuts down his pace.He really needs an advice or two from Shoaib akhtar.i would definitely play him either one of amir or Hasan fails in few game.

seeing what the windies are doing to the kiwis im not sure theres any point bowling fast and ending up in the stands..may as well get five spinners on..

Windies have always been good players of pace bowling for as long as I've been watching them, I said this in the pre-match thread a few days ago. Definitely spin will be important, only problem is ours are not that good.
