Is he in U19 squad?

No, but he was there during the last tournament and he was part of Pakistan under 16 side that toured Australia.

I was watching Ptv Sports and they said he impressed Steve Waugh and that he bowls 140+

Have heard from few that while Shaheen is more hyped, this kid is better than him. Can even clock 145 kmph.

Hopefully Sami's luck runs out this season and he takes a beating so we can see this kid play. :yk

Wait till you see them live. Same for Shaheen. Videos of this quality and from this angle are often misleading.

husanain is not in emerging category he is supplementry pick and islu has HUssain Talat and Sahibzada as emerging.

If he is allowed to play like someone is not available or injured then he will be counted as emerging. Supplementary selection doesnt discount the initial category player was listed in.

Explain to me how the supplementary rule work? Can a sup player still play?

Inshallah he gets a chance. Think this will be Samis last year with IU and this kid is being lined up as a long term replacement.

seriously impressed by these youngsters in Pakistan. hopefully they put in the hardwork to match the talent.

Let's hope he gets a game and then we can better judge his ability.

Looks really good in the video but why didnt he miss out on U 19 squad? Yes there are some top bowlers in that but this guy looks pretty good too.

Ditto, although batsmen getting beaten for pace seems to be the most obvious impression coming out of this video!

Looks like we are going to get 2 more class fast bowlers after PSL 3

This guy and Shaheen Shah Afridi could make a mouth-watering duo of pace bowlers.

Let's see.

Saj do u know how waqar spotted him and how highly is he rated?

I heard this lad is quicker than shaheen shah. Was is he not in under 19 squad???

Get him in the playing XI ahead of that useless leggie Suleiman for Match against India or Bangladesh (SF)

Mentioned by Misbah ul haq when the host was talking about young talent to watch out for in this PSL.
Also talked abiout hasnain having good pace.

Just watched that on tv. He said waqar wants to coach him and groom him. He also mentioned shaheen shah

If we're ever to win a series in Australia - we need tall pace bowlers who can extract bounce.

English style seamers in Australia, as we've found out on the last several tours to our detriment, are ineffective. Hopefully this kid is coached properly and can remain relatively injury free.

Waqas Ahmed of Sialkot and mohammad ali of wapda fit the bill at present.

It was very unfortunate for husnain to miss out Psl this year. It seems he has regained fitness which is encouraging.

Its good to see he's a part of the emerging players. He could be asset for Pakistan in the future.

Why are the PK not using the Zim games to play untried, but potentially explosive talents.

I think this 10 week intensive camp will give them a better chance to know which players are ready. In 10 weeks their fitness will be international standard and could make the squad hopefully

From who? I used to think talha was express but was left disappointed. Now I'm pinning my hopes on this lad

For any young fast bowler to succeed in Pakistan, they must stay fit, Talha had two major injuries and also avoid Mr. Action Changer at all cost...Talha has worked with him to change his action as well! No wonder he has nothing left in his bowling, same way is Anwar Ali and a spate of others.

Before I get attacked by Auqib's fan brigade, just advise which degree in the world (coaching or any of the sorts) qualifies him to change actions and which part of cricketing coaching advises changing bowling actions just like that without any proper video analysis and other support?

How much of he changes actions is true, and what is myth?

Big enough of a myth that at least 6-8 bowlers have spoken of having Auqib worked on changing their actions...even if it is 1-2 bowlers, that is more than most coaches will ever try to tinker with; most experts agree that changing/tinkering with actions should never be done by a mere on the whim type of decision by one so-called self expert like Auqib!

We know for sure about: Talha, Anwar Ali, Mansoor Amjad, and at least 1-2 more who spoke on record about getting help in changing their actions; imagine what Lankan history would be like without Malinga's natural action?

We really do have some exciting bowling talent coming through the ranks; Nasim Shah, Hasnain, SSA, Arshad Iqbal, Munir Riaz to name but a few.

It was always there; it just needed nurturing. To that end Emerging Cup and A Tours will be key.

Also making sure that they kept away from Aaqib Javed.

Munir Riaz didn't look too impressive in the U19 Asia Cup last year.

Mohammad Musa is also another one to watch out for. The lad has fire in his belly.

Impressive performance, sad he missed the PSL last season, hopefully, will get a game this time around.
Abdullah719 a bit offtopic question, is Muhammad Musa and Arshad Iqbal playing in this tournament as well?

That kid Muhammad Musa from the U-19 is the kind of boys we need to see coming into the Pace Bowling battery of the national team. Was faster than Shaheen when both of them were bowling in tandem in the recent U-19 tournaments I've seen.

Also why is it that our domestic comp footage is like someone took a Nokia 1100 and filmed it in a hurry!!

Musa and hasnain are quickest Pacers in NCA high performance emerging camp. Both are 145kph and with further fitness and muscle will be potentially 150kph. Arshad Iqbal is 140kph.

Musa is. Not sure about Arshad.

From memory, Riaz was one of the highest wicket takers in U19 Asia Cup for Pakistan. He's not ready yet but assuming his age is genuine he has plenty of upside- is pretty pacy iirc.

Re Musa, spot on. I have mentioned him in a few of my other posts.

Picked for Qea but missing game time.

If he is fit he must be playing domestic cricket.
