The Pakistan Navy detected an Indian submarine trying to enter Pakistani waters and successfully thwarted the attempt, DawnNewsTV reported on Tuesday quoting the Navy's spokesperson.

"The Pakistan Navy used its specialised skills to ward off the submarine, successfully keeping it from entering Pakistani waters," a statement from the spokesperson said.

This is the second time the Pakistan Navy has detected the Indian submarine trying to enter Pakistani waters since 2016.

According to the statement, the fact that an Indian submarine laden with modern technology was detected by the Pakistan Navy is a loss for the Indian navy.

Keeping the government's initiative of peace in mind, the Indian submarine was not targetted by the Pakistan Navy, said the spokesperson.

Learning from this incident, India should also work towards peace, the statement added.

"This great feat is a testament of the Pakistan Navy's superior skills. The Navy will keep defending Pakistan's naval border. The force has the capability to respond to any aggression."

The latest provocation by India comes a week after the Indian Air Force (IAF) violated Pakistani airspace on February 26. The IAF returned unsuccessful after the Pakistan Air Force (PAF) "immediately scrambled" its jets. According to Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the Indian aircraft released their payload "in haste" as they returned.

PAF the next day, on Feb 27, successfully targeted non-military targets across the Line of Control to demonstrate Pakistan's aggressive capabilities, and shot down two Indian Air Force jets after they crossed the LoC.

An Indian Air Force pilot, Wing Commander Abhinandan, was taken into captivity of Pakistan's armed forces. While Prime Minister Imran Khan ordered the pilot's release as a "peace gesture",

This is a developing story.

From all indications, it appears India is looking to start a war. Next 2 months will be interesting as the war mongering BJP will be very tempted to do many of these adventures to try to win the votes.

what the f.. is going on. guess Modi is getting desperate and needs a win. At what cost? arnt Indians worried about this after what happened in the last week. Dont they realize how crazy they look? Indias global image is going down the toilet but the media would have you believe the whole world is cheering them on.

Its crystal clear now India wants war. Israelis have news puppets now.

Anything for some votes

The ugly Shaitan :modi won't stop until the elections.

Something for the news channels to spit further venomous hate against Pakistan.

Although, contrary to popular belief, I don't expect a war.

Actually the perception which Indian peoples are getting from their media is that Pakistan is just a pineapple cake for them & they can eat it how they want.
There will be some sensible peoples but their voices die in the louder noise of mobs.

I am seeing a trend here happening, a Pakistan website is always in on the action it seems supposedly they reporting Pakistan defence have always thwarted an Indian attempt.. LOL... All fake and a bigger LOL at the video above, how easy is it to spot that submarine, I can spot it with a small binoculars, that was not an Indian Sub nor is India trying to go to war with Pakistan. Lot of talk going on but that is all that is but there wont be any war....

Lot of propaganda and fake news going around. Don't believe everything. After elections everything will return to normal.. Till then don't believe Pakistani media or Indian media. Both trying to out do each other in spreading rumours.

I hope they don't claim another surgical strike again. This time in sea "Jaish ki 300 Machliaan Halak".

yeah if i was an Indian i would resort to not believing anything after this, even to me doesn't seem real India couldn't have messed up this bad so many times in such a short time?

Both this and 2016 videos are different, yet the Indian media claim its the same thing.

I will never criticise Pakistani media again.

It must be frustrating to spend so much on defense and then bomb a few trees, get your mig destroyed and your pilot caught.

Anyway, India has in the last few decades done very well to portray a good global image but last few weeks it has been very negative. Trumpistan

How is a Sub-marine going to attack the suspected location of a terrorist that is an enemy to India? If this news is true then it should be pretty clear that India is looking to bate Pakistan into a full blown war so that the international community cannot criticise them for trying to invade Pakistan.

Better sense should prevail

Actually thank you for this, finally the idiots in Delhi will realise never to use MIG in combat situations again....

News I've heard is that it was in international waters.

If so, the disease of the media seems to be cross border.

Obviously Indians will deny this, just like they were denying plane being shot down till we showed videos of the pilot.

Pakistan Military has rightly produced evidence of every damn claim made by them. Indians on the other hand are changing their statements by the minute. Imran has very easily proven that Indians will go to any length and make up stuff at every level.

The video actually shows longitude and latitude in real time to prove that it was Pakistani waters. Having said that most media reports exaggerate the importance of such events. This is just part of the cat and mouse games each side uses to test the others alertness.

Which one has been proven to be wrong more often?

Exactly this Pakistan has backed up everything claim, yet we can't even have footage or a downed PAF plane via the IAF.

India still hasn't taken Pakistan to International Court, even though they claim to have evidence that THE STATE harbours and arms terrorists.

India keeps shouting but their bark is better than their worthless bite.

These are attempts to, among other things, divert Pakistani capital towards defense and keep Pakistan away from development.

If India could have they would have. Fact is their entire narrative is hollow as hell

NEW DELHI: The Navy today rubbished Pakistan's claim that it stopped an Indian submarine from sneaking into its territorial waters. "Indian Navy remains deployed as necessary to protect national maritime interests. Over the past several days we have witnessed Pakistan indulging in false propaganda and spread of misinformation," the Navy said in a statement today, hours after Pakistan released a purported video of what it claimed was an Indian submarine trying to enter its territorial waters.

"The Pakistan Navy used its specialised skills to ward off the submarine, successfully keeping it from entering Pakistani waters," news agency PTI reported quoting a Pakistani Navy spokesperson. "The Indian submarine was not targeted keeping in view Pakistan's policy of peace," the spokesperson said, according to PTI.

The black and white video released by Pakistan that has been rubbished by the Indian Navy as "propaganda" purportedly shows a submerged object, being tracked by what appears to be a thermal camera.

"The Indian Navy does not take cognizance of such propaganda. Our deployments remain undeterred," the Navy tweeted on its official handle.

All the three branches of the armed forces of both nations are on high alert after the Pulwama suicide bombing and subsequent air strike on a Jaish-e-Mohammed camp in Balakot, inside Pakistan, by Indian Air Force jets. Today's false claim by the Pakistani Navy marks the first time the maritime forces of the neighbouring countries are publicly responding in the aftermath of the air battle in which a Pakistani F-16 was shot down and India lost a MiG-21 Bison.

The last time the two navies engaged in a sea battle was during the 1971 war. Indian warships were on high alert during the Kargil war in 1999 but no naval battle took place.

In Operation Trident in 1971, Indian Navy missile boats fired Soviet-origin P-15 "Termit" cruise missiles at Karachi harbour in southern Pakistan, and sank several Pakistani ships as well as hit oil tanks. The attack severely disrupted supply lines of the neighbouring country.

India celebrates Navy Day on December 4 in honour of Operation Trident.

Perhaps that is why it is being called an "attempt" that has been thwarted.
Well this comes down to language and how you present an event. To me this sounds like jingoistic presentation.

Yeah.

So there's the EEZ, Exclusive Economic Zone which puts Pak's limit at 350 nm. This as far as I know is mostly about exploiting resources. Borders in the sea are something like 12 nm. The sub was about 160 nm away from Pak's baseline.

So it was well within Pak's EEZ but not anywhere close to being near their territorial waters. Not sure what the rules are on entering the EEZ though.
