Pakistan's Test Captain, Misbah-ul-Haq spoke on a TV show.

"It's not true that the Captain fights alone. Sometimes your players don't perform."

"Our bowlers bowled really well. They were a part of the team but they weren't the captain."

"Our bowlers kept our hopes high for qualifying for the Quarter-Finals and Semi-Finals."

"Everyone performed with their heart. Performing or under-performing is part of the game."

"Whatever the situation, when Pakistan plays, everyone unites as one."

"Of course we missed Junaid Khan, Saeed Ajmal, and Mohammad Hafeez."

"Junaid was the highest wicket taker in ODIs (2014). His injury affected our team a lot."

"Saeed Ajmal was unfortunate to not to play the World Cup."

"He's been a match-winner and we really missed him."

"If you look at the New Zealand or Australian fans, they have a totally different mind-set. They enjoy the game. They don't really care if they win or lose, they just care about a good game of cricket."

"I was the Snooker Champion in 1992 in Mianwali."

"This is the right time that youngsters are inducted into the team and are told about their responsibilities."

"A new captain should be given enough time to set the team and lead a settled group of boys in the next World Cup."

yes misbah is so right.

Pakistan fans are miserably pathetic.

Other fans always talk about how awesome their teams are even if they haven't won crap their whole lives.

ANd then there's Pakistan fans - fans who think the team will be taken over by West Indies/Bangladesh/Zimbabwe

Mamoon is the epitome of what Misbah is talking about.

also OT but I'd like to add that the host of cricket dewangi Aleena Farooq or whatever is super super cute wow.

Those "other fans" have not felt it. Perhaps we can loan them Misbah and let him lead their ODI team for a few years?

Dude, Pak fans are the best fans.

After a coach's death, exit from WC at the hands of Ireland, Shoaib Akhtar's drugs and infighting controversies, ball biting, test matches being abandoned in the middle, spot fixing, players getting jailed, top bowlers getting banned, no home cricket for years - WE STILL SUPPORT THIS TEAM LIKE CRAZY.

If such hardcore fans can get fed up with Misbah's tuk tuk - then trust me, there is a reason it.

look at kiwi fans. What the heck have their team ever won in the history of the game? Yet they're always acting like they're all this and that and talking about how they're a respected side and twice the side Pakistan are. And then we're always acting like we're a bunch of overrated scrubs who have no system or style which is just not true because we've had good success relative to other teams.

Or how about South Africa? What the heck do they ever win? Yet our fans always act like they're the second coming and we're a bunch of minnow scrubs about to get taken over by Bangladesh . Other fans do it to Pakistan I get it. When our own fans act like we're a bunch of useless scrubs when we're way more accomplished than some of these "big" teams it's annoying.

Pakistan fans are very loyal but it's almost as if they enjoy pain, it's like they enjoy and want the whole team to be miserable. Win the Asia cup - oh we got lucky India had an off day. Lose to Australia - oh a bunch of matchfixers, what's wrong with our domestic, what disgraces, knee jerk reactions, discard the entire team, "Are Pakistan going to get taken over by Bangladesh?" As if they enjoy acting miserable and pretending we're borderline minnow status, I've never seen anything like it. Meanwhile McCullum plays the most selfish innings of his life trying to smash the world's best baller right off the bat and his fans still support him rather than talking about how they think he has no IQ.

yea Pakistan fans may be more loyal than most but it would be way less toxic if those fans don't exist.

and lol at other fans not feeling it. Let's not sit here and victimize myself. I respect all posters and people but I can't tolerate when anyone victimizes themselves in life.

What about South African fans not making the finals once because their players don't understand the concept of what run rate is? constant chokes? dropped catches from the best fielders in the world? etc.

He was the snooker champion in mianwalli?

Well i wish Misbah had instilled positivity into our batsmen rather than giving statements now. As a captain it was his duty. But lets move on now.

Misbah is right. Some Pakistanis are pessimists who like to moan 24/7. Be positive guys and get behind the team.

Quite a sportsman wasn't he.

Snooker, badminton, football, with cricket coming later.

He should should have stuck with snooker, it suits his slow personality and calculating (sic) brain. Wonder how Ronnie O'Sullivan would have approached cricket though.
