Whilst the PCB has stated that Gillespie breached his contract by walking away from the job, my understanding is that Gillespie's people believe the PCB breached their contract in 16 ways!

PCB need to sort this out, pay the guy for the tour of Australia and the win bonus versus England and move on.

It doesn't look good at all for Pakistan cricket that the PCB is stalling and penny pinching.

PCB definately breached their contract with him by taking away his selection powers and then firing his support staff without consulting him. When he and Kirsten were hired, they were assured they would be given full backing and authority from the board to implement their plans, vision for the team including selection powers. Now whether Gillespie erred in the Bangladesh series and later the first test of the England series, the point is the board back tracked and took away his authority in complete contravention of his contract, agreement.

PCB might respond that Gillespie, Kirsten promised to spend the vast majority of their time in Pakistan at NCA, academies, domestic cricket but they didn't and hence why we took away their selection powers

You cannot just hire world-class coaches and then just abandon them without paying them.

Yes, which is why if the PCB takes that position, i will be interested in Gillespie's response.

If Gillespie left without serving the notice period, than PCB is it right here. The decision was probably made in consultation with the HR dept in PCB.

Anyways, if Gillespie takes the issue to some ICC court, lets see what decision comes out.

You cant just decide to pack your bags, resign and expect payment. You either serve the notice period, if you dont serve it you end up forgoing alot of your rights.

Had PCB fired him, than he would had been paid i think 50% of the salary for the months he didnt get to serve

Gillespie was in the wrong as well. He resigned and did not serve any notice period. You cant just do that because PCB is a govt org and it has to follow a procedure where they have readvertise the position than do interviews and hire someone. Its a time taking process.

Dont know what the exact rules are, but Gillespie can also take this issue to ICC or even the ombudsmen office in Pakistan that deals with HR related issues.

Thing is that the PCB due to its past record has become immune to (supporters desensitized to) all sorts of shenanigans. Any other organization in the world would be scurrying for cover to save itself from reputational damage but not the PCB!
