Lol, this is the first time he has brutally attacked IK for a host of issues i.e. abolishing departments, for bringing in foreign Pakistani's into the PCB and ignoring people like him and is threatening to reveal everything once he comes into politics himself.

Javed spouting nonsense as usual. These departments were already divesting and shutting down their cricket teams like UBL.

The standard of domestic cricket this season was much higher with 6 FC teams instead of 16.

Javed's bitter he cannot cash a paycheck from PCB for doing nothing anymore. Instead of ranting for YT views he should offer constructive solutions.
 
Friendship with the PM is the only reason the incompetent duo of UK imports were appointed.

Their tenure has been nothing but disastrous so far.

Moreover, they need to resign simply because they hold UK passports. If they want to work for the betterment of Pakistan cricket they will have to give up the safety blanket of the UK passport.

They will come, do nothing and then go back to the UK. That is not acceptable.

Why do ex-players in the subcontinent feel they have a platform to sound of whenever the team does badly.
You don’t see this in England, Australia etc

I agree with you on Ehsan Mani. As for Wasim Khan, I am going to give him the benefit of the doubt until I know for sure who was behind Misbah's appointment. My gut feeling is it had nothing to do with him but from someone with the highest authority in Pakistan.
 
Respect to JM as a cricketer. A genius and a legendary batsman. But he was a loose canon then and he is an utter embarrassment now as a long retired veteran of the game. Imran Khan, i dont think he even has time to bother with this at this point in his life when country is way more important to him as PM than Cricket Gully Danda but even if he does see something like this I really wonder whether he would laugh or shed a few years at his old colleague of what he's become now.

Sending best wishes to JM. I hope his health is good he doesn't seem fine mentally. He comes on news channels on political debates and loses his cool at trolls. He gets mocked at for stuttering by comedians, he wants work from PCB at this point in life, I think a little while ago he was asking for charity for Pakistan, all money to be sent to his bank account, he said consider me a bhikhari something.

You were a great player. Show some class and old age wisdom.

Isn't he like a rich elite in Pakistan already. Shahid Afridi has made a fortune playing for Pakistan. Miandad played even longer and was a huge star. Also has family relations with high profile controversial or whatever.

He shouldn't be making it this obvious that he wants work at this age?

Never seen Wasim asking for anything. Smart people, invested in business, and really know what self respect is all about.

There are things to dislike about Afridi but he can teach a lesson to many about pride and self respect.

Question to Miandad, please explain what you did in the PCB and for Pakistan Cricket as the DG from 2008 to 2014 where the PCB paid approximately close to Rs 100 million on your salary, perks and privilleges. Atleast the PM of the country can list down his achievements.

Ramiz Raja in a recent video gave his own example, he was employed by Allied Bank and at the start of his commentary career, Allied Bank told him to start reporting to work or risk being terminated, Ramiz didn't have much of a source of income and he was not settled as a commentator at the time and was dependent on getting a salary from his bank but he chose to take a risk and test the waters. Now look at him, commanding a premium in the commentary market where he is the number one commentator on Pakistan Cricket and having his own youtube channel as well.

Unfortunately too many of Pakistani domestic and international cricketers do not want to get out of their comfort zones.
 
The tried and tested.....give a player a job in PCB and PCB is great.

Cricketers lack skills and education.

In Pakistan, you need FSC clearance now to do work anywhere. Its the minium requirement.

Most of these cricketers either make their birth certificate late(to reduce age) which results in their education certificates being deemed invalid.
Also most of them spend soo much time in ground doing irrelevent practise that they dont go to school

Departments gave them a cover that they would qualify a job through the cricket route

If these cricketers need employment insurance, the govt should give it to them, not the departments. In any case departments are now becoming more commercial minded and are starting to take the position whatever money they spend should strictly be for commercial business reasons only, they do not exist to provide a cushion for sports or to give hand outs to players. This is why the likes of HBL, ABL, UBL have shut down their sports teams.
 
The only jaahil is him. Personally feel like PCB doing alright just that head coach, chief selector has become a dictator.

Corrected to ex-players in Pakistan. I have not seen cricketers in SriLanka,Bangladesh and India creating youtube channels and bashing the current players left right and center.

what do you mean handouts?

No one is giving handouts in Pakistan.

Departments fund a sports teams because it gives them some tax relief by investing in a ground and a team.
Departments that win than the players on those teams get very good pays aswell. SNPL

Is govt providing any kind of employment to cricketers currently? No.

Like [MENTION=9]Saj[/MENTION] stated in this forum, if PCB gives you a job then PCB is the best but if they don’t get a job then PCB is terrible. Lol. Also these former players are all talk.
I personally don’t like Imran Khan as the prime minister but he knows his stuff about cricket. I seen the SkySports episode during the first test and he knows what he is talking about and he explained fantastically of why the domestic structure was restructured.

No country has departments running their domestic structure. Also look at the teams of the departments. You have airlines and banks as teams. That’s so ludicrous. 😂😂😂

What’s sad is that he is talking negative about Wasim Khan but WK has respect for him. If you remember when the cricketers had online sessions with former greats, Miandad was one of them that was invited by the PCB. Also WK mentioned how they will involve these former stars later. But this man doesn’t know what respect is. And is now bashing PCB. This man is just a clown like some of our other former players.

What I don’t understand is that instead of bashing PCB, give them constructive criticism as a professional. But then again some of our former players don’t like professionalism and just want a job. Or how about why don’t these clowns go get coaching certificates and prove yourself. Being a former cricketer does not make you a great coach. To name a few great coaches that were not cricketers are J Buchanan and Mike Hesson.

Like I have said before PCB is not a employee bureau.

Players should keep their morale and passion high for the country as the whole nation was watching them with high hopes,” he said in a video on his YouTube channel.

Miandad, who was made the Pakistan team captain when he was 22 years, after Asif Iqbal’s retirement following a series loss in the 1979–1980 tour of India, also felt disappointed by seeing the 2017 Champions Trophy winning captain Sarfraz Ahmed, perform the 12th-man duties.

“People all over the world have disliked the incident. I had also been the captain and I feel disappointed as Sarfraz should have been given respect. I tell this to the management and Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), if there is no need of a senior player then he should be sent back. This was not a good tradition set,” he said.

Miandad, who scored 8,832 runs in 124 Tests, said when the fourth innings was about to start of the Pakistan-England first Test, Pakistan had the winning runs on the scoreboard.

“PCB Media Director who is a brother to me, called me and asked whether I was watching the match. I said yes and told him to deliver my message to the captain which was to take the start from the spinners not pacers. Do the leg-break from the new ball,” he claimed.

Miandad said he used to try this in the past. “I have tried the new ball from late legendary spin wizard Abdul Qadir and in the banks also. I know the Old Trafford wicket, it gets rough day by day,” he said and added a spinner was lethal on this wicket.

Miandad, who scored 7,381 runs in 233 ODIs, said it was a spinning wicket and was difficult as you can’t judge the new ball. “Spinners could have taken wickets easily.

I gave my advice as I’m a Pakistani and my services were always there for my country and anybody could call me for my country,” he said.

I am so confused on his YouTube channel this man was whining and saying everything negative about Pak cricket and PCB and now he is praising them and is taking credit that he gave advice. I'm not saying he didnt. He probably did but why doesnt he do that often and criticize constructively. This dude is something else. Lol

It is not about UK passport; it is about the principle.

Before assuming the PM office, Imran stated that dual passport holders should not have leadership positions in Pakistan because their stakes are not in the country. However, he then proceeded to appoint two British Pakistanis to run Pakistan cricket.

Like Tania and Dr. Zafar, Mani and Wasim also need to hand their resignations.

PCB should send Miandad a show cause notice "What did he achieve from 2008-2014 as a Director of PCB, beside pushing his parchi nephew in test team using his power?"
This guy even more shameless than Misbah and Waqar combined.

Pakistan was ICC no. 1 ranked team when Javed Miandad was DG PCB.
 
Miandad was a loose cannon to begin with. Now he's gone even further into the abyss.

But it will all end if and when he is given an ad-hoc role in the PCB.

Also - like Wasim and Waqar, his animosity to Imran Khan probably goes back to their playing days. The difference was one of them decided to work hard to a larger cause after retirement, while the other just caused a commotion to net PCB paychecks he didn't really deserve.
 
Situation is realy dire on the club and fist class levels.

Miandad rant is actually much lenient compared to first class cricketers cries and mourning. Amd calling all sorts of names to Imran Khan. First class cricketers who not only had lost their jobs due to departmental cricket, the Ramzan tournaments in Karachi and other cricket has been completely firewalled by Wasim khan and PCB. They denied NoCs to tournament organizers. Now players have no option left but to do odd jobs and this is the most humiliating phase in history of Pakistan cricket as they are driving taxis as well as doing the most menial jobs to support their family all hell has broken loose.
Wasim Khan mew structure called club cricket association is another story as the BoG meeting could not be held and a policy passed in PCB. Club cricket associations have not been organized to this day. No funding has been released. Karachi-based businessman Farooqui had to organize inter club tournament as their was no matches planned for this season.

Wasim Khan and Ehsan mani wiped cricket off the Pakistan's map. A very terrible situation on the ground.

Legendary batsman accused his former teammate, PM Imran of ruining cricket in Pakistan by not giving enough chances to the locals and preferring foreigners for various key positions in the PCB.

He also claimed that current top officials at the PCB don’t know the ABC of cricket and are destroying the sport in Pakistan.

Imran Khan works hard every day for where he is today. Miandad in comparison is a very vile and entitled individual. This should not even be a debate as to who has more credibility than the other

At the end of the day he would go home completely depressed and exhausted. He mentioned we had almost defaulted and SoEs like PIA had raked up 400b of losses. He then decided to change strategy and prioritize things one by one giving most attention to things of most importance such as the economy (and it's showing). He mentioned for him something like sports would have been easiest to fix but he hasn't done anything about it and regrets it but sports slid way down in pecking order because of the situation of the country.


I think he's right better to save the economy than focus on frivolous things like sports, it can wait.


Meanwhile Wasim Khan is doing his best to destroy cricket though.
 
Biggest Jaahil is Miandad. He no longer gets that fat paycheck for doing nothing but getting paid for past glory. Cricket legend but a Jaahil insan himself.

The fact is cricket will never (or atleast in the foreseeable future) be a priority for the federal government - their are much bigger problems to deal with.

Given the extremes of corruption, nepotism, and most of all the incompetence in the PCB - it just may be best if the PCB is privatized. One after the next, public services in Pakistan have been run into the ground. PCB hasn't been functional in the 15+ years I have been following cricket - not just the on-field product, but the administration, management, finances, etc.

Wasim Khan was a ray of hope - someone from outside the system, well educated, with good cricketing fundaments via County cricket - he's turning out to be maybe the worst PCB chief of the last decade (since Ijaz Butt)

PCB board of governors are always political appointees looking to fill their pockets and curry favour while they are in power. A proper board, appointed by investors who have real stake may be the only way we see a functional cricketing body in Pakistan
 
Why is this guy so greedy, he's a millinionaire. He made millions as a cricketer, coach and later as a Director at the PCB and on top of that he's married into the Saigol family, one of the wealthiest families in Pakistan.

He is too old now. Better to take care of his health and spent time with family. He would get nothing from the PCB.

Nothing. He hasnt stayed in touch with the modern game.

He could help players by talking about pressure and how to become mentally tough but even thats a long shot.
 
Miandad is a known leech wants to bleed PCB for as much dollars as he can, just look at his history !

I don't think Miandad is the right person for any job in PCB with his many controversial statements against the board.
 
If PCB has any sense and learnt from the past, they should just thank JM for the offer and send him on his merry way.
 
JM saw the opportunity that he can get in the PCB now so he is freeing up his arms now.
