So Kohli lost his temper after this DRS call:

Ashwin laid into Supersport: "You should find better ways to win Supersport, make the sport look bad."

<div style="width: 100%; height: 0px; position: relative; padding-bottom: 30%;"><iframe src="https://streamable.com/e/qg35ur" frameborder="0" width="100%" height="100%" allowfullscreen style="width: 100%; height: 100%; position: absolute;"></iframe></div>

Agarwal reportedly said, “Not good, you are making the sport look bad now, making the sport look bad.”

Then Kohli walked up to the stumps and shouted into the stump mic along the lines of: "Focus on your team as well when they shine the ball eh not just the opposition, trying to catch people all the time."

KL Rahul tried to motivate the team: "It's a whole country playing against XI, guys".

Kohli finished: "It's all about them boys, f****** camera team as well."

"Going above the shoulder. DRS is hacked" : Virat also heard (https://www.timesnownews.com/sports...nts-india-bowling-coach-paras-mhambrey/849257)

Poor behavior.

Even if the decision is dodgy, a captain shouldn't behave like this.

Lol I can’t help but chuckle how childish he is in these moments :yk :))) Not sure what he is gonna do after being thrown out from the team someday.(sooner at this rate)

Had he concentrated this much on his batting and not missed tests as he wished, things won't have been as miserable as they are now.

Did Kohli just yell at Elgar when he was given out ???? That was not needed, I realize emotions get the better of you but come on now, when you are the captain you cant do that..... Poor Poor from Kohli..

Kohli has every right to be angry. That was as plumb as it gets. No way that ball was missing the stump. Well done Kohli.

Kohli is a terrible captain... Hopefully is dropped from Captain duties after this series...

Look DRS has been dodgy all through out the series. That Mayank dismissal in the first test was even worse tbh.

But whatever happens, gotta keep it cool n civil when in the middle. Don't claim the hosts are out to cheat to win, such conspiracy theories are fun to read here on this forum but not when cricketers say it out loud on a stump mic

Ranting at an inanimate object. Kohli proves himself as a prize plonker once again.

We know the pitch has a lot of bounce in it, including variable bounce.

Disgraceful behavior from Kohli. I never realised just how much of a child he is.

Shouting into the stump mics is a clear indication of a someone who has lost the plot and is on the verge of a breakdown.

Bizarre stuff from India.

Then what about Rahul dismissal in first test ???

Rather have an animated captain on field then one who stands at the boundary ropes and just smiles.

The whole team were charged following that over turned decision.

How can a ball from a spinner hitting below the knee can bounce over the stump irrespective of how much bounce is there on the pitch? The only way it can happen if someone removed the gravity from the earth for a minute..lol.

It was clearly hitting the middle of middle stump for all logical reasoning. Kohli has every right to be angry.

"How can that miss the stumps? He's Dean Elgar, not Marco Jansen". - Sunil Gavaskar.

View attachment 114144

The same Sunil Gavaskar who was blaming the batsman for walking when Pant was claiming grassed catches. I respect Sunny but he talks out of his back side quite a lot these days.

Regardless, today's events SHOULD ensure a multi match ban on Kohli no questions asked but we all know that won't happen. This is the worst behavior I've seen from an international captain ever since I've started watching cricket. Nothing comes close to this embarrassment of a "leader" proving again and again why he belongs in an anger management therapy session much more than on a cricket field, let alone captaining a side.

Supersport quite literally showed a ball bouncing on an identical length from the next over that also went over the stumps.

A ball hitting the batsman on the knee well Infront of his crease will always have a chance of going over the stumps on a wicket that has a bit of bounce in it

The same way saeed Ajmals delivery magically missed the leg stump even Indians agree to that so it’s technology it sometimes makes you lose a test match and sometimes makes you win a World Cup deal with it

Lol forget about DRS. Ajmal was chuker

Have you seen the bounce on this wicket? Balls are rearing off of good length. He took a long stride and got hit on the knee roll. Absolutely nothing wrong with ball-tracking.

We are sounding exactly like those pak fans who still crib about the sachin review in 2011. Embarrassing!!

Not really....Indian team actually lost the plot after that decision and conceded 40 runs in next 7 overs

All that because their crybaby captain lost his head when a decision didn't go his way.

Well, DRS has been dodgy in South Africa before? No?

But once BCCI has accepted DRS there is no use complaining in mid series.

But yes Supersport must be let known that things won't be allowed to go on like this.

Yeah I found that to be quite clever from Supersport. Obviously done to refute the comments into the stump mic.

Yeah, suck it up.
Tendulkar against Ajmal was also out.

I have already replied on this in match thread but will repeat again. Both are chalk and cheese comparison.

Ajmal's ball missed due to spin and not due to bounce.

Remember DRS works on assumption with a set of guidance given to the machine.

Ajmal was a big turner of the ball...he was spinning miles in Mohali. It hit the middle of Sachin' pad and missing the leg stump due to the spin and angle that technology predicted back then.

Here a ball bowled at 51mph hitting below knee of a 5'10 batsman shown to be bouncing over the stumps. That is logically impossible unless someone tampers with the DRS.

Both are very different.

At some point you have to move on. Match is still in balance. After the match they can go to BCCI or whatever appropriate channel and they can raise whatever issues they have with supersport.

Doing it on live stump mic not the right way to go about it.

Rather have an animated captain on field then one who stands at the boundary ropes and just smiles.

The whole team were charged following that over turned decision.

And that coasted them about 40 runs in no time.

The team lost their minds and lost 30 odd runs by going on and on about it. The first few reactions and comments were acceptable, but they should have rallied round, rather than going berserk.

Interesting comments by Kohli about shining the ball though :smith Maybe that had something to do with this being the straw that finally cracked their backs.

When the Elgar review was going on, I was thinking - Oh man, if they claim this not out, Kohli might grab a stump and go charging into the broadcasters room. But Elgar looked guilty as hell and his reaction was of a player who realized he'd set his team back by getting out so late.

Both teams kind of let themselves down. India by going on and on. And SA after Elgar got out, their body language (in the balcony) was poor and defeatist.

So now suddenly in the 4th innings of the 3rd Test does Supersport and DRS need to be brought into question? Only because India got an unfavorable result in their review? Where was this outrage when the rub of the green was going India's way in tight DRS calls (Mayank LBW, Kohli edge)?

What does he want? To get away with ball tampering. Maybe have indian broadcasters?

Pretty sure...if any other player behaved like this, ICC would ban him for a couple of games

Lol forget about DRS. Ajmal was chuker

Listen to Kohli's advice and 'focus on your team' :yk

Both Ashwin and Bumrah can thank their stars for BCCI money! A few decades back and they would have no FC careers with such dodgy actions.

So can you explain the ball that supersport showed from his very next over that pitched on the exact same length and was also bouncing over the stumps?

Yes you are right but in this case its Supersports that need to be careful. Kohli is cricket's biggest draw and sponsors dream. Him openly criticizing a company in live tele can lead to some sponsors pulling out from supersports.

Again a prediction, which the team rightly booed and mocked when it came on the screen :guilty

Poor from Indians, but replay/DRS has not been good.

I don't want to comment on this decision, but I remember the umpire kept asking for zoom on replay and the broadcaster did not show it despite asking 4-5 times. How hard it was to show a zoom? The decision was taken without zoom finally and it went in SA favor.

A spinners bowls ( Elgar ) can bounce so much suddenly but not tall fast bowler (Rahul) . irony

Everyone accepted Kohli's arrogant and childish behaviour when he was on his peak and was scoring centuries for fun but things have changed now. He is finding it hard to score runs these days so none of us are going to accept this behaviour. :inti

eh it was stumps when Elgar got out. What body language you talking about.

Was.

He is losing the power now. Not even BCCI takes him seriously these days let alone sponsors lol. :inti

SA pitches have steep bounce. U come across as a fool trying to defend this behaviour

I am sorry - exclude me out of this "none of us" group you are referring to. I am perfectly fine with Kohli's behaviour and I am sure there are a significant % of us.

Supersport doesn't depend on (cricket) sponsorships to earn money, they are Africa's biggest subscription broadcaster.

DRS should be banned if someone actually has the ability to tamper with it.

Can't believe it, shocking behaviour from a spoilt brat!

What will India do then if this goes on?? Stop picking sa players in IPL. The entitlement among Indian players and fans is huge

:))) :)))

Plz change the thread title to 11 Indian men fighting with stump mic.

Ashwin is a spinner bowling at 51mph. Dean Elgar is a 5'10 man. No way a ball hitting below his knee at that slow pace would bounce over the stumps. It dosen't matter how much steep bounce there is.

Mayank Agarwal got hit on his thigh pads against a seamer in 1st test and he was given out by DRS bcoz aparently that was hitting the stumps. Was there no steep bounce back then?

Lets be honest...DRS has been awful this whole series.

Normally I dont appreciate Kohli's behavior but today he is absolutely correct. Someone needed to call out and Kohli took it on himself calling in live stump mike.

Well done!

No one talking about Rahul dismissal becouse every one know that that was clear case of cheating .

Isnt ashwin tall?

Yeah, suck it up.
Tendulkar against Ajmal was also out.

Tendulkar tried to compensate for that by giving 5 catches. You guys have yourself to blame for that :))

Elgar on the other hand seems to be a one man army.

Anyways can you guys just focus on the specific incident on hand than brining a India- Pak debate to every damn thing. It’s tiresome.

Isnt ashwin tall?

Bounce from a spinner dont depend on his height. Normally top spinners get more bounce than regular offies. There is a reason Nathan Lyon gets so much bounce. If anything Ashwin gets lots of criticism for not getting enough bounce like Lyon does.

What a bunch of sore losers and an embarrassment to India.
