An 'injured' Hassan Ali taking part in a fashion show....

This guy is a joke. Speaks volume about his priorities. He thinks of himself as a superstar but in reality he is nothing. This celebration is turning into cringe.

You'd think our players on the sidelines would be watching as much cricket as possible, analysing opposition players and thinking about how to chart the way to a comeback into the national team.

But yeah when you think you're a superstar who has it all figured out this is the end result. Don't just blast Hasan Ali, he's representative of most current Pakistani players who have a decent first 18 months before falling away.

Yes because bowling 90mph and fielding/ batting require the same amount of effort as doing a fashion show....

Just because he hasn’t performed well, people love to hate everything he does and blame his poor form on that.

Hasan Ali on modelling assignment.

You're making too much sense for a Pakistani cricket fan that 90% of the others who call themselves fans too look clueless.

What's wrong in this? Just because he's injured, should he sit at home wrapped up in cotton wool? People like to find faults in everything.

How do you know he’s not doing that? Just because he attended a fashion show doesn’t mean he hasn’t been doing rehab and work.

Surely there’s more things to be critical of than a guy who’s been injured and out of the game for 3 months. Leave him alone.

People aren't allowed to pursue other means of income when they're injured? Walking down a ramp is not the same as running in and bowling 135kph.

The celebration is cringe though.

I have never broken so many ribs before but my sense is that sudden movements like that generator thing during recovery period cannot be good.

Anyways regardless of what anyone thinks, Hasan Ali is his own person - knows what is expected of him and is free to do as he like - our opinions, well are just that!

You feel a lot of pain esp during inspiration while breathing if you have broken ribs. You will also have a lot of tenderness while doing any kind of movements.

If this guy has broken ribs then I am a millionaire.

So maybe he wasnt that badly injured?

I recall when I broke my ribs I could barely stand up and actually struggled to breath.

Can we talk about how cheapo that sherwani is???

My eyes are bleeding :danish

Compared to Indian players, unfortunately our players do not work hard on their fitness and primary skills.

Indian Cricketers party hard and pursue other endeavours off the field but you can trust them to put in the work in the gym, in the nets and stick to their diet plans. This explains volumes as to why we have fallen behind the rest of the world

When I saw the title I thought there's nothing wrong. He has a broken rib. A guy can walk during that. But that celebration he did of his is now beyond the cringe.

Indian cricketers like who? Only Kohli and maybe 1 or 2 other guys. The rest of the team are just okay.

Keep on finding ways to bring your own people down, Pakistanis. Never be happy with anyone.

I see nothing wrong with this since I am not medically qualified to say whether what he is doing aggravates his injury

Wish he showed this much determination to make a comeback instead of modeling.

Sad.

Why is he doing that celebration? Isn’t that the same celebration which led to his back injury?

Agree. He is not ignoring his recovery. A little modelling assignment is not such a bad thing.

Nothing wrong in doing his trademark celebration on the catwalk. He hasn't got an opportunity to do it on field for months. Go easy on him

Kohli
umesh yadav
bumrah
shami
ishant
Mayank
jadeja

all are extremely fit and athletic.
even rahane is fit as hell.
They lack size but all of them are extremely fit and athletic.

umesh though is built like a brick. Probably one of the strongest cricketers around. See his workouts.

Could have been recorded months ago and timed for the current series players have a right to earn. Obey elsewhere as well as play cricket.

Its from Saturday.

He looks good in the Sherwani. The sherwani is not impressive though. Is the golden colour popular for the traditional wedding dress in Pakistan? I am not a fan of golden coloured clothes on Indian/Pakistani skin tone. Perhaps maroon or deep red or royal blue would suit him better. But the celebration neither suits the attire nor the occasion.

No issue here

But as i said before

I feel he is another that will be lost
Hype/Media attention has already infected him and he feels like he is dale steyn now

Hassan Ali, or other players/celebrities rise from among us, & are a reflection of the society we live in, hence it's hard to blame him alone.
He is just playing to the gallery here, & it's the audience that goes into hysteria seeing that cringe worthy celebration of his.

How can he have faked a fractured rib?Isnt the PCB responsible for testing and stuff?
But then i have never seen someone with a fractured rib function so smoothly without an iota of pain.

If it doesn't aggravate his injury then good for him, making some money and earning publicity on the side. Still extremely cringe worthy.

Not going to comment on whether he even has fractured ribs or if this hurts his injury since I do not know enough about medicine nor do I have any real knowledge about his injury and its nature.

His celebration is becoming cringe worthy as hell.
It looks like he literally does it every single day on every occasion.
Concerning his injury, I don't know if a ramp walk will aggravate it or not, but one thing is for sure, Hasan has not been serious about his cricket since a long time now. The CT success came way too early in his career and since then, he has focussed more on his social media activities than his cricket and his recent performances show it. It's unfortunate because he was well on his way to have a good career and lead Pakistan's bowling attack for the next decade or so.
But, just like his friends Shadab and Faheem, it looks like his priorities are elsewhere.

these things look good only when u r delivering on-the-field.... if he was getting wickets, this would have gone down as just a cusual thing but with his performance in last 18months, this is just a piece of garbage stint that he could have avoided

For me, he is everything that is wrong with Pakistan Cricket and our mindset at large... Got success, got out of skin, stopped working hard to improve and have gone down like a free fall stone from a high building

if i was misbah i would keep Hassan Ali as far away from the team as Umar Akmal is far from common sense and shame .... the fast bowling nucleus is great... dont need this self-proclaimed star

I had an x-ray done a few years ago and one of the things my doctor said was that you have broken a couple of ribs in the past, i replied no, i have never broken a bone in my body. The doctor then showed me the x-ray with two healed ribs. I said to the doctor are you sure thats my x-ray and she laughed. She asked if i had evet been in a car crash or any other accident, i said no.
To cut a long story short, different people have different pain endurance.
Having joined a boxing club in my teens, is probably were i got the injury, but i went on with my normal life without noticing, apart from the first few days of pain of being punched in the body.
Hence not everyone is a weakling like the guys criticising Hasan on this thread.
By the way, i discovered this 25 years after the incident occurred!

While there is not much wrong with it - It does say a little about him.. He is definitely becoming another Akmal.

Kohli, Dhawan, Pandya, Pant, Jadhav, Jadeja, Bumrah, Shami, Rahul, Mayank! The list never ends! Check out Youtube or their Instagram if you doubt! Heck, even Dhoni stays fit and runs as fast as Kohli despite he's no more in the picture!

He is finished. This is what happens when you have paindu mentality with no one to guide.

I recall when I broke my ribs I could barely stand up and actually struggled to breath.

His ribs are not broken, he had fractures on right and left which were discovered vis scans. Right side is now fixed and left is mostly done. Depending on where it is, breathing may not be an issue and neither would movement.

But his arrogance and attitude for a below-average performer is cringe worthy

The worrying thing is how did the injury happen?

PCB seem to be wanting to keep it quiet which is rather strange.

Athletes have lives off the field, people. You can't monitor them 24/7.

Exactly.. what does him modelling have to do with anything lmao.

If your career is stagnant Pak fans will attack everything about you be it how you breathe, eat, whether you use a lotta or a bidet.

His celebration would be cool if he was an out and out fast bowler like Starc or Rabada who get caught up in the moment when they bowl someone with a 150kph thunderbolt.

But he's nothing more than a medium pacer who thinks he's better than he is which is obnoxious to most.

140 to 145 kph is the pace of a medium pacer?

140 to 145 kph is the pace of a medium pacer?
He's a medium pacer, not a fast bowler.

A fast bowler is someone who is capable of consistently bowling mid to high 140s and able to bowl above 150kph when needed.

I don't understand the mentality of us Pakistanis, if some one posts a video while working out or practicing, we call them show offs. And if some one does some extra curricular activities like this, we call them irresponsible and immature.
Cricketer is also a human being and has friends and families just like us. They are free to do whatever they want in their off time.
And the ones who compare the walk on the ramp with fast bowling should try sending 6 straight ball through a full length pitch, then you would know the level of fitness is required for bowling is 100 times more then walking on a ramp.

Shouldn't he be extra careful while in recovery , with broken ribs how can you outstretch your arms with a jerk? Unbelievable!. He is risking his own career and I don't think he has any good advisers on his side.

After the CT, seldom has he been able to maintain 140+.

In T20Is, he can. In ODIs, he's bowling more like high 130s. In Tests, it was to low to mid 130s.

People compare him to pre-injury Bilawal Bhatti, but the latter was significantly quicker.

It's ok according to some of the PP medics :P

I hope he comes back to fitness and form or the 4 year investment in him is wasted. He isn't the brightest and the loss of form has compounded the lack of trust in him and his motivation

Why do so many of our fans dislike him now? He won us our first 50 overs cup in decades.

While there is no problem with him modelling and indulging in leisure activities, there is a record of players who did this before and got distracted from cricket and it led to their careers being not so stellar, case in point - Umar Akmal, KL Rahul, Irfan Pathan, Hardik Pandya. I hope Hassan Ali doesn't fall under that category and has his focus intact on getting back to cricket as early as possible and play at his best level.

I don’t know why I have a feeling this guy will make an amazing comeback

Yes even I think that injuries and lack of focus due to pyar mohabbat I think dipped his performance he's quite talented and can be a Shami type performer depends how much he wants it there is a big chance him and his buddy shady may opt the easy money and turn T-20 mercenary
