The 2019 PSL champions started the HBL PSL 9 with a bang. They were unstoppable in the first 6 games but later on bad form and some ordinary managerial decisions took their chance away of winning the PSL9.

They did qualify for the playoffs after four long years, however they couldn't find their mojo towards the business end of the tournament.

PakPassion Editor Saj Sadiq revisited Quetta Gladiators journey in PSL 9 and analyzed what went wrong for them towards the end of the tournament.

TBH, got really disappointed by Watson's performance as coach and Rilee's role as captain. QG, the once giants of PSL have now turned into minnows.

Quetta Gladiators need a complete overhaul, simply sacking and dropping Sarfaraz is not the solution. They need to focus on the standards of player selection.

Sarfaraz should give up on T20 cricket and concentrate on red ball cricket.

As for Watson, what was so great about him that PCB were chasing him so badly?

QG batting was looking weak right from the PSL draft. Also the Rutherford incident didn't help them as well. They should've given Umar Amin a chance as well who was in very good form coming into this tournament.

He’s white, prepared to be in Pakistan and said nice things about the country in the past.
That seemed to be it

Yes and they keep falling for it.

Watson has no place being considered Pakistan Head coach at this time.

Sad to see Sarfaraz not featuring in this year's PSL in runs or otherwise. What does the future hold for him?
