Terrible advise. Aus is the place where you need to bring the pitch into the equation.Whilst Arshad is good if we are only going to play 3 pacers I would go for someone who can take the pitch out of the equation we seen how some of Australian players struggled against the bounce in England.
their issue is lack of height.Terrible advise. Aus is the place where you need to bring the pitch into the equation.
Somebody with control like Faheem and Naseem could be effective in Aus as long as they hit the right areas and don’t get carried away with pace and bounce. Discipline is key there
Fahim no thanks he's a 4th seemer at best.Terrible advise. Aus is the place where you need to bring the pitch into the equation.

Height is essential in Australia. Shaheen despite being very tall, isn't able to generate bounce consistently.Terrible advise. Aus is the place where you need to bring the pitch into the equation.

I repeat again. Pakistani bowlers don’t need to do anything special in Aus except bowling to plan and bowling tight lines and lengths. India just won 2 test series in Aus with some really disciplined bowling. It’s some weird Pakistani myth that something special needs to happen with bowling to deliver down under , which ends in heartbreaks.Height is essential in Australia. Shaheen despite being very tall, isn't able to generate bounce consistently.
Naseem is not that type of bowler either.
Neither is iqbal or faheem.
This is the issue with Pakistan bowling. Until they are able to bend their backs and generate lift, not much will change in their ability to produce wins.
Batting obviously has serious holes against pace and bounce.
Naseem ruled out of the Asia Cup due to injury.
He is crucial for Pakistan's chances in the World Cup.
Is this precautionary or serious?Naseem ruled out of the Asia Cup due to injury.

Not sure how Naseem can recover within a few weeks with a serious shoulder injury.
Agreed here. No need to play your premium fast bowler when you are not in a situation like a must-win or something like that. waseem or Faheem could have easily managed the workload for them against Nepal. The question has got to be asked - why did all of them play Vs Nepal? Why can’t scared kitten Babar ever have the guts to allow his non first XI play against minnows.
This is pretty Alarming for Shaheen.
Naseem Shah:
Shaheen Shah Afridi:
- First 10 Tests: 21 wickets, 45 Avg, 70 SR
- Last 8 Tests: 31 wickets, 25 Avg, 47 SR
- First 21 Tests: 86 wickets, 24 Avg, 48 SR
- Last 9 Tests: 27 wickets, 37 Avg, 66 SR
I don't think so Shaheen is better atm. Stats could say that Shaheen is better but in today's time, Naseem is way ahead of Shaheen. A genuine all-format bowler he is.Former Pakistan cricketer, Basit Ali said on his YouTube channel:
"Naseem has better fitness, and Shaheen is currently struggling with it. But Shaheen is better than Naseem."
There are milks which better than this.Babar Azam's superb captaincy and leadership in Sri Lanka, Shaheen and Naseem's fantastic attitude on wickets that weren't favourable to pace bowling, Pakistan's outstanding fielding effort, Abdullah Shafique a special talent, Saud Shakeel's brilliant start to his Test career, Salman Ali Agha silencing his critics, Pakistan's aggressive approach in Sri Lanka, Mickey Arthur and Grant Bradburn's future.

Reminder that Naseem averages 35 in tests, one of the worst averages for bowlers who have played 20 tests or more. On par with bowlers like Kuruvilla and Saleem Altaf and Manoj Prabhakar
lol. What a strange comment. Most posters on here don’t know the names you mention but everyone will know Rahat Ali, Wahab riaz and of course dear old mo sami who at one point was ranked in the top ten but finished with average of over 50. Moral of the story a fast bowlers decline can be as rapid as the ascent don’t take anything for granted and watch your fitness and work load.Reminder that Naseem averages 35 in tests, one of the worst averages for bowlers who have played 20 tests or more. I definitely know of bowlers who started great and lost their way. I dont know of a SINGLE bowler who started with a 35+ average in tests after 20 matches and then turned it around. I can give you even 30 averaging bowlers like Ishant or Umesh who then did decentish in last few years of their career, but no one who was so bad after 20 matches who turned it around. It doenst happen.lol. What a strange comment. erm I don’t know exactly what we are disagreeing over.I definitely know of bowlers who started great and lost their way. If naseem shah brought his average under 30 at the end of his career it will be a success. Ishant sharma average 37 after 27 matches and he kind of did relatively well later in his career but he got to play a lot of test cricket to get better. He averaged 22 in his last 30 matches and only 26 in his last 50(so he kind of turned it around)I dont think that naseem shah will be playing this amount of test cricket, pakistan plays like 6 matches a year.I definitely know of bowlers who started great and lost their way. Can you give examples of option B? Bowlers who averages over 35+ after 20 tests and then because fantastic or even good? I cannot think of any.erm I don’t know exactly what we are disagreeing over.
A) countless bowlers in tests who started great for 20 tests then were average by the time they were dropped. Obviously that would be about 50% of all bowlers.
B) countless bowlers that would be average but then became fantastic. Obviously!! That would be the other 40%
C) the remaining 10% would probably be bowlers that made a sudden impact but by 20 tests they were dropped and disappeared into oblivion. Well that would be most Pakistani bowlers. (Amir, Asif, junaid included)
Naseem and SSA are not that different but age is in their side. 20-30 tests before they are 25yo is fine. But the hard work begins now but workload must be managed.
Almost every bowler. Not in A).Can you give examples of option B? Bowlers who averages over 35+ after 20 tests and then because fantastic or even good? I cannot think of any.
You can see there are hundreds. Notable names there agarkar and sreesanth. So Naseem is in good company. He might improve he might not. He might do well in Odis and deflect attention away from test record. Doesn’t matter. Can you give examples of option B? True this, india started making wickets which give good sport to quick bowlers as well. The pitches all over pakistan and the wickets made for test cricket show that we do not care about fast bowl at all.Kohlis captaincy and his aggressive mindset behind backing his fast bowlers helped Ishanth get a second wind in his test career.
Pakistan have started to make spin friendly pitches recently in test match cricket and on such a wickets, fast bowlers don't have too many opportunities to produce real goods unless they have the pace like Shoaib Akhtar.True this, india started making wickets which give good sport to quick bowlers as well.
