Shoaib served Pakistan for years. Have some grace and respect the player for what he did. At the fag end, every player becomes a bit of burden. That’s true for almost every Asian player - Miandad, Imran, Kapil, Tendulkar, Gavaskar, Zaheer, thousand others. There have been very few like Dravid and VVS who times it well.
He was one of the most graceful and sophisticated cricketer to come out of Pakistan, after IK.

In T20Is, I want Malik to be our player/coach in the same way Vincent Kompany is for Anderlecht in football.
It is a interesting concept which hasnt been tried in cricket I dont think.

good player(at least in the past)....good runner in between wickets, was a fantastic fielder...maybe he's held on for too long (same problem in my team- India as well....our guys never know when to retire)....any ways....he's won lots for pak...respect from an indian fan..go welll

Lets not beat about the bush The names youve mentioned had a track record of winning matches cups home and abroad They created records scored plenty of runs and are asian legends for their feats
Not that i condone it but they could get away with dragging their careers based on goodwill from the past
Malik has played the best part of 20 years and has a mediocre record He didnt score runs overseas and won test series and matches for goodness sake he avge like 12 in engalnd
He isnt a legend where fans will forgive him for dragging a career out Hes had a pretty mediocre career and was finished over a year ago And yet he still wants to play t20s over a deserving kid
Shame he had to drag his career and pakistans world cup chances with him

Did he really minnow bash to any great degree. I mean his only notably performances were against super minnows on roads but I wouldn’t call it a dominant run.

It's usually either way. T20s for youngsters but Malik want to stay here with only fielding option. These things happen only in Pakistan.

Bit sad for him, had a pretty good first half of his career, but after he lost captaincy has been bad. Couldn't get his head right after losing captaincy for 6 years or so despite performing great in domestic. When he finally got things back and made a successful return, got too old and lost his reflexes. Sadly probably would have been looked better off if he simply retired in 2009, he never got back to that level.
