According to media sources, the PCB is considering replacing Waqar Younis with Umar Gul as national team fast bowling coach. Strange

He got a decent farewell, good example for some of our other pros, when its time to go hang up your boots amicably and you will be treated with a bit of respect and get a nice send off.

wouldn't mind seeing him in a bowling coaching/consultancy role maybe in t20's for now to gain experience.

Theyre being stupid The intnl team isnt a place for farewell matches for over the hill players

Its for the best eleven players in the country who are good enough to merit a team place

Im not sure why players want a big farewell and what silly thinking is behind it but if thats a priority for them then they are well advised to retire on a high whilst still in the team rather than when they are out of it

There should be no complaints on this matter if they are dropped
