Seems things got heated and almost come to blows.

Jansen should have just ended with " I bowl legal deliveries" instead of "you got a problem?"

Just a couple of team mates having a friendly conversation. Nothing to see here.

I mean hes asking someone whos a foot taller than him to a fight

Just try n hit the ball and let ur bat do the talking than all this fake aggression

Yeah reminds me of Kamran against Ishant. :)

I think Bumrah would have had something to go back to if he'd actually hit the ball.

Looked to me like the ball hit his body more than his bat.

It wasn’t for the lack of trying. He swung his bat at all 6 balls in that over and missed them all. Pure comedy

Nothing new, Indian players are clowns, and their bad behavior is always on show.

The bowler is well within his rights to bowl bouncers. Don’t know why he’s getting annoyed about it, learn to play them if it bothers him that much

Nothing new to see. Blame the Indian players as far as you can see one in the frame.

10 out of 10 for effort.

0 out of 10 for actual result.

I was surprised they had this animosity, they shared dressing room few months ago at Mumbai Indians where I am sure Bumrah would've had good amount time with Jansen.

Seemed to me like heat got the better of Jansen and Bumrah who has admitted himself he's a hot-head who's took to meditation to maintain a calm demeanor.

Bumrah is a rock solid number 11. So I am surprised that he even gets bat on ball ever.

What I am more interested now is what happens when Jansen walks into the Mumbai Indians locker room.

Think the answer to that is in your member name = $ = nothing will happen.

This bumrah is getting embarrassing day by day.
He should be shown his place.

Absolutely. It is anybody's guess if there are behind scenes "deals/agreements" to make sure their IPL careers are not affected.

Manjrekar, speaking to a media outlet, found the surge of aggression in Bumrah an interesting development but said that he doesn't want to see too much of it in the pacer.

“This anger thing is interesting. It happened in England as well. I don’t like this side of Bumrah. It’s a side of Bumrah I don’t want to see too much of. I like it when things get really hot, he has a smile on his face, like he usually does,” he said.

During his 14-ball stay at the crease, Bumrah even managed to hit a six but was dismissed for a score of just 7 runs by Lungi Ngidi. India were eventually bundled out for 266 in the second innings. South Africa, in reply, started off strongly, scoring 118/2 before the end of play on Day 3.

Reflecting on India's bowling performance in the second innings, Manjrekar felt Bumrah hasn't gotten the sort of purchase from the wicket that he should be.

“There’s never a problem with Bumrah not having any control. He will always pitch the ball where he wants to. I am a little concerned that nothing much is happening after the ball is pitching where he wants to. I’d like to see the ball rear in, jagging back off the seam or leaving the right-hander.

“The amount of times Shardul Thakur beat the bat tells you that Bumrah is just not getting enough reaction from the pitch for some reason,” he pointed out.

Seems like he has learned a few lessons from the Virat Kohli school of "aggression"

Johannesburg: South Africa created history by chasing 240 runs with 7 wickets to spare. South African captain Dean Elgar played an incredible knock of 96 runs with 10 boundaries. With ample support from Rassie Van der Dussen (28) and Temba Bavuma (23), Elgar finished the highest 4th innings chase for the Proteas.

However, there were multiple instances of heated exchange on the field during Day 4. One such instance came in limelight, when India’s premier fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah lost his cool when Bavuma’s shot injured Hanuma Vihari on his hand. It is noteworthy that Vihari was fielding at forward short leg when Bavuma played a sweep which hit Vihari straight on his hand.

Indian physio, Nitin Patel rushed onto the ground to tend to Vihari. At that moment, an enraged Bumrah was standing near the stump mic and was heard saying – “Let them enjoy their moment for now. Another match is left at Cape Town. I will show them what we are build off”.

However, no amount of lip service could unnerve Elgar as he smirked, smiled and went about his business leaving the visitors even more frustrated. For posterity, when one remembers this Test match, it will be very difficult to remember any of his 10 boundaries but one won’t be able to forget the game either simply because of an exhibition of how to crush the pain barrier which seemed to be ingrained in Elgar’s DNA.

The presence of Kohli in the series decider is a must for India as Rahul, despite being good, looks like work in progress. But whether Kohli will be fully fit is a million dollar question.

This SA team has the weakest batting line up in history. I am surprised that they won the second test

This is an extremely shameful act deployed by many teams these days. Try to hurt and cause injury to the main bowlers of the opposition when they come out to bat at # 10 or 11.

Teams should man up, and play bravely. Hostile bowling towards weaker batsmen with the intention to cause injury is a cowardly act.

Not weaker than the current West Indies batting line up and PAK lost to them not too long ago

Typo from me, i meant to write weakest in SA history. WI has beaten England at home, they are a tough team in their home conditions.

To the OP, I was quite surprised with the way Bumrah reacted.

He always has a big smile on his face, I have never seen him get into any confrontation.. Maybe Jansen was mouthing off a little too much ?

Anyway Bumrah replied to the SA bowlers in kind by sticking into the SA bowlers when he bowled, actually felt bad for Olivier he had not clue and kept taking body blows after body blows and I believe did the same to Jansen a few times before taking his off stump...

Coming from the bollywood type masala media nation, indian players always know where cameras are. I was not expecting Bumrah like calm character to be like this but he too ...

It's literally a competitive sport. If the bowlers are made of glass, they may as well sit in the dressing rooms and only come out to bowl.

There is no doubt about it, the South African team faced the Indians without even factoring in the IPL unlike the Australians

Bumrah telling the stump mike at end of 2nd test - ‘ I will show them what I’m build of ( in Cape Town)’

Yes Jasprit - you did. They hammered you by 7 wickets on a wearing wicket and you did another disappearing act fella.

You’ve played 26 tests only and you’re 29. You are a very good bowler but your action is ugly and and at times there’s a legality question mark.

South Africa pacer Marco Jansen on Monday said he has no "hard feelings" with his IPL side Mumbai Indians team-mate Jasprit Bumrah even though the duo engaged in some heated exchanges during the Proteas' 2-1 Test series triumph. Jansen and Bumrah shared some heated exchanges during the second Test at Wanderers which South Africa won by seven wickets and again during the third match at Newlands where the hosts sealed a remarkable Test series win.

"I've played with Bumrah in the IPL and we're good friends. You're not going to back down when you're playing for your country and sometimes on-the-field things get heated," the 21-year-old said in a media interaction on Cricket South Africa Twitter handle.

"He obviously did the same and there are no hard feelings because it was in the heat of the moment, because it was two players giving their all for their countries." Despite his fiery persona on-the-field, Jansen said he's very introverted.

"I'm a bit of an introvert off the field. But I want to express myself on the field in the sport I love the most. I show the passion and love for the game. If there's one place I want to show my passion, it's got to be on the field."

Bhumrah was ruthless against Anderson where he must have peppered him with 5-6 non stop bouncers at 87-90 mph. He can't really complain about receiving it.

Shamsi offers some advice to Indians...
