[VIDEO] What do you think about the standard of PSL 11?

Was looking at scorecard for the 15 year old kid and the bowling attack he bashed. Take nothing away from the kid, he is exceptional, but this may be one of the worst attacks I've seen across cricket franchise leagues, including SLPL and BPL ( well its between this and Hyderabad), esepcially so given its Hazelwoods first game back from injury.

It is geriatric attack. He may bounce your chachu and mamoo out too, they probably play u15 with Vaibhav.

Who knows? We can only comment on what's Infront of us and it's a very poor attack. If you had all the money in the world and this is what you assemble then you have no sense as an owner, and if this is what you guys spend your time watching debating and critiquing with sense of superiority then only God can help you! I thought by mistake I opened scorecard for legends league.

PSL is lowest quality league in the cricketing world. .. all the Pakistani superstars failed at international level. . 🤡🤡

No wonder Pakistan has become Minnow team due to such Low quality League.

Nonsense. BHuvi in IPL >>> your entire clan in T20 history. He was bowling at 140k to Vaibhav your shaheen gets creamed all over by Shanaka in the world cup. If Shaheen and co had bowled at wankhede or chinnaswamy we will be looking at 4 overs 100 run spell lol

Hahahaha this hack Bhuvi would not even get into Karachi Kings team. Only you can hype trundlers so that you can hype a tulla like Vaibhav who will get exposed in senior international cricket. Waiting for him to face Shaheen, Cummins, Rabada on a bouncy pitch with this 110 cm.
 
India has been no.1 ranked T20 side for the last 4 sides. Won back to back Titles. Entered 6 finals in a row in under-19 world cup. So bench is stronger than any team. Those are the players mostly playing in this competition. :)

Bhuvi averages 26 in tests. He is not like your 35 averaging Naseem shah dude.

It is highly comical you talk about playing on "bouncy" wicket when your team got bounced out on a mirpur wicket by Nahid Rana lol India scored 288 in 34 overs in a freaking test match against that nahid rana and co.
 
Anyway circling back to the topic. How can a league run without fan base lol That is the life of a league. This is worse than tennis ball tournaments between streets.

Are we discussing tests or T20? If you want to talk, should we talk about how Teenda 100th vs BD was in a losing cause or how BD spanked India in ODI series where Kholi and Dhoni both played?
 
I have not watched any PSL matches. But i do watch pakistanis podcasts where they talk about IPL for like 30 minutes PSL for 20 minutes :) They royally roast PSL.
 
Indians keep hyping their trundlers and tullas based on performance in domestics and junior cricket. Senior cricket is a whole different kettle of fish. Bhuvi would be selling nihari if he was born in Pak as we would never pick a 120 cm 120kmph trundler.

But reality is it is a poor attack that has been assembled.

If you were franchise owner would you assemble this attack? If this franchise owner wasn't an Indian you would have written long essays about it.

Nitish Reddy who is a lowe order made 100 on a boxing day test. Washington Sundar on his debut at the age of 21 hooked cummins for six to win gabba test lol These are lower orer batsmen not specialist btasmen. You are talking about bouncing vaibhav sweet

So when India was not ranked number 1 was IPL a poor league with no bench strength?

You guys used to say there was no correlation between IPL and international success, but once again goalposts have shifted to defend some overpaid pensioners.

Hazlewood, Bhuvi, Krunal poor attack? That is like 12 overs out of 20 overs. That is better than Pakistan's international attack.

Unlike you guys India has stronger domestic system. SMAT, Local premiere leagues many leagues that scout talents. Rohit, Kohli are miles better than any pakistan batsmen :) Are you going to deny that?

You are tumbling down some holes trying to find something to defend a poor quality attack.

Next you will tell us 42 year old Rahane is better than XYZ player.

When it comes to Indian cricket you are unnecessarily defensive and on Pakistani cricket unnecessarily aggressive. I have spent 5 minutes today reading about IPL and there is more controversy than anything produced in PSL, many fans calling it boring, even calling for BCCI to intervene and improve it.

You said pensioners. Those two are pensioners. Rahane is definitely better than any pakistan batsman in T20> especially he was the top run getter in the last two SMAT with a strike rate over 160. For the first time in his IPL career reached a strike rate of 175 in 2023. He has evolved. He is like million time better than both Babar and Rizwan.

I don’t think Sooryavanshi discriminates who’s bowling to him. He smashed Bumrah for 2 sixes in an over too. Last year he scored a decent Gujarat attack for a 30-something ball 100.
Your argument could have had merit if he only bashed lower level bowlers, but that’s not the case. Funny to think how you would be all over him like a rash if he failed to hit this attack.

I am not against the kid. He is special. We could be witnessing something unseen likeBradman level, as I said originally in my post, the quality of the attack should have no bearing on his innings. As you have said, he has bashed other bowlers who are top quality.. Thats why I never mention the attack quality on the thread about Vaibhav where I praised him and hope he plays international soon, rather in a separate thread as it's a separate topic in my eyes.

Nobody is getting to Bradman level though - different times. From my perspective, he’s still growing as a player. How he adapts to different conditions, bowling attacks, close scrutiny of his technique, how grounded he remains, and how he maintains good / healthy habits will determine what he ends up becoming as a player. Early days now but I’m enjoying the ride.

Bhuvi (even now) and Hazlewood are better T20 seam bowlers than anyone in your whole pathetic cricketing system.

Your premium spearhead almost lost the match while defending 28 runs against a mediocrity like Shanaka and was only saved by a wrong call of wide not given.

Smith was good in BBL but hasn't been great here standard is fine....... younger players are doing better than experienced players which is what people want to see.

Bangladesh has recalled their star players from the league. This really is a blow to the quality of the league and also breaks the combination and momentum of the participating teams.

The whole point of having cricket in the IPL window is that the squads would go unchanged. PCB must sign some MoM or something with the BD board to let the star players continue the participation in the league. The Kiwi team is almost all second strength with players given voluntary leaves to play for leagues.

The league is in its 11th year but some basic fundamentals have not been accomplished so far. It is just frustrating at this point but then they'll come at the end of the season with numbers like 2000% growth in minutes watched, 145% increase in peak first time viewers under the age of 25, 15% increase in digital rights compared from season 1 and all will be forgiven and forgotten.

Klassen played excellently when he was playing for sa.as soon as he became a free agent, he lost the touch and got slower.Unlike other t20 free agents, few needs a different kind of challenge regularly to keep them sharp.

mate Bhuveshnar Kumar is still decent from time to time on indian condiitons, hoff is a poor man's pgeon, but even a sh$t glenn mcgrath is still better than many pacers today, and krunal is decent and sheerd is still international quality pacers who can bowl good overs

Why would it be in my head? You’re talking about an obscure IPL bowler that even most Indians wouldn't recognize, yet you’re following his stats religiously. How does one random bowler getting hit just like many others do ,shows the overall quality of a league like the PSL?
