Honestly that is a poor poor sight ... Younis is very senior to understand that he must move on when given outl

Didn't you know its disrespectful to give Younis out, we have no izzat for senior players in this country, the umpire should have kissed his feet in apology

I think, given out wrong - he was pointing to the bottom of his bat, which indicates a caught behind given for the sound of bat hitting ground. Looks like San is his partner while Yasir is the bowler & Azhar fielding at slips. YK is a walker - probably indicating that had he nicked it, he would have walked in a practice match.

Shouldn't have happened this way though.

It's a tough job teaching umpires how to umpire to International standards. Good on Younus to share his experience and try to bring up the level of our poor domestic umpires.

Yasir :)) :)) :))

Younis throwing a hissy fit? Surely not! Has this ever happened before? :)

I hope YK gets 10k in the first match and then gets destroyed by WI in the remaining two games. This way he can be dropped for the next series. No need for this cry baby in our team.

Cricket needs to spice up. Would be funny if he headbutted the umpire with his helmet on.

Younis being Younis again how the hell young guys can be obedient and have good attitude when the so called seniors do this...

LAHORE: Pakistan veteran batsman Younus Khan lost his temper and got involved in a heated argument with umpire Rashid Riaz and required the intervention of leg-spinner Yasir Shah to settle the matter during a practice match at the Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore.

Younus, who is famous for his short temper, was not happy with Riaz’s decision of adjudging him out off left-arm spinner Khalid Usman claiming that the ball hit his hand and went over to plead his case in a not-so-friendly manner.
Younus Khan says he is not the greatest Pakistani batsman

Sensing that the matter could spiral out of control, Shah, along with the other umpire on the field, intervened to separate the two as the match continued afterwards.

While talking to the media, the leggie refused to comment on the incident, and called it a normal proceeding during a cricket match.

Younus Khan falls short of 10,000 Test runs

Younus was also involved in another incident of heated verbal exchanges with the same umpire last year during the Pakistan Cup in Faisalabad.

The 40-year-old was suspended following the incident by the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), and was later reinstated after he apologised to Riaz.

I honestly want more Pak batsmen who get upset when they get out, shows that they want to perform and put a price on their wicket even if it is a practice game LOL

YK, come on paa jee, Umpire ko to chorr do

In my book, this is not upset enough.
YK should have hit the umpire with bat.

he would fail in 5 (out of 6) innings anyway ...

The flaw in this reasoning is that if a batsman tries to bully a ref in an international game he will be thrown out pronto!

Think this is some old unfinished business which came to the fore.

Makes sense, the fashion in which he was given out merely trying to avoid injury was pathetic then it made national news. Same umpire did not give Misbah out twice to Muhammad Asghar then claimed he could not give him out due to seniority.

You would swear half the people here do not hold any grudges, acting as if they would have walked and not argued their case if wrongly judged out.

This whole man of the people, team man stuff for Younis Khan is utter rubbish.

I was at Worcester last year and Younis was a disgrace with fans young and old. Not the first time I've seen such behaviour from him.

He seems to get upset for no reason. Take it easy for goodness sake.

this isn't an international game.. there's other way to show attitude
just look at fielding, attitude can make a ton of difference. same goes for batting

Should have turned into a three way elimination match - Winner gets to bat , I'm sure younis could have handled both the umpires quite well

And then people lecture Kohli as if he has signed an agreement to behave like SRT and Dravid lifelong.:murali

Thought he was calling for a review, touching the bottom of his bat
