After watching today's game vs Srilanka, i think bangla boys should focus on improving their childish behavior on cricket field..
Their behavior is silly and laughable. Lack of professionalism is the main cause.
Your thoughts??

Your thoughts??

I think lack of wins and unnecessary pride is the main cause.

Was surprised by so called no1 allrounder who was acting like a school boy and wanted to forfiet the match pathetic from him
On the hand muhmdullah was class and handle the situation pretty well

Nice to see you back.

On topic,Shakib should be banned.

Does this deserve a separate thread? Look at the on field behaviours of kohli. When emotions run high, ppl tend to do stupid things.

Kohli has not called his team back ever. This behavior is in a different category.

What a bunch of cry babies.

Brings back memories of their childish attempt to reverse the decision of the 2012 Asia Cup Final when we beat them and made them cry their eyes out.

It wasn't ideal but it wasn't the crime of the century either and no one is perfect - throughout cricketing history all nations have done things which they should be ashamed of. But life and cricket goes on.

I absolutely despised Shakib when that happened. I wanted him to be banned. Then the match got over and i realised , even though they are not my team , I was also emotionally charged and at the spur of the moment the loose ones ( like me ) would do silly things. After some time , I am calmer and can understand their emotions. Having said that , a captain should be a tough and mature one. Glad that Shakib accepted his mistake.

People don't understand that the team was high on emotions

This happens when your team is in such situations.

just another Bd haters get together ! Umpire did the mistake and Shakib got furious though this is not acceptable. But at the end BD did not fofeit the match as Srilankan did in past.

Your captain is the most childish, so maybe fix the problems at home first.

Losers in the sense, that they can't handle the prospect of defeat on the chin. Cry babies

Even if that was called a no ball we still could have lost.

But when the umpires don't understand the rules then we have issuss

Would love replay of the 2016 t-20 world cup match between Ind-BD and see the look on their faces.

As much as I don’t like their behavior I would say this. It is well documented seilankan team officials are known for their under handed dirty tricks

I just told u to look at the mirror, nothing else. Indian cricketers r known for their notorious on and off field behaviour. But here u r lecturing us to improve our childish behaviour. Anyway, thx fur ur concern.

And Bangaldeshis are Saints..??
Cry babies always crying over decisions

Bangladeshi fans are like girls. In argument they will bring a short of logics. Bring thiss gavaskar incident is laughable.
Sakib has anger issue. He had fight with some fans before too.

Relax guys.

Shakib is a Champion competitor which often takes better of him. This is not the first time, and I can guarantee it won't be last either. But, guy is a fantastic cricketer, sent percent honest, devoted to his game and he has accepted his mistake - move on.

Also, as we won, it looks silly now - but imagine; it's a Semi Final and that Lankan Umpire decided to cheat bluntly - that's even worse than what Shakib did and I would have still written the same had the role reversed.

And, it wasn't a mistake or hit of the moment thing - he knew exactly what he was doing. Today, had Mahmud not won it - only 2 truths would have lasted - BD choked & that turned Shakib crazy foolish. People won't have remembered what the Umpire did even tomorrow morning, when he is there for his professional integrity.

Move on - no BD posters here are supporting him and I am sure none of the posters would react if Shakib is banned for the Final.

Very immature and cringe worthy stuff from Shakib, especially when Mahumudullah clearly wanted to continue.

I don't consider our players as saints. Sometimes our players do stupid things but so do the players from other countries. It's a part of the game.

While it was not pleasant it was just a spur of the moment thing. Nearly everyone recognized those balls as 2 bouncers, both teams were playing with lots of passion and at the end things seemed to be settled. No point blowing this out of proportion, we can all agree it added more drama to a virtual semi

I no longer consider Australian players as my friends, thank you.

Silly behavior from a captain. Shakib is a fabulous cricketer! One of my favorite players from Bangladesh.
Hope he learns to conduct himself and sets right standards for youngsters watching him.

Shakib and sohan who was carrying drinks must be banned for atleast 2 t20Is.

Not every critic is a "hater". BD players and fans make it difficult to like them based on a pattern of behavior and attitude.

Its not too much to expect for an international team to conduct themselves to a certain standard, or at least not stoop to classless behavior. And if I were a BD fan, I would be harsher on such antics than other neutrals...

Why was the yellow coloured grown up Bangladeshi fan crying? That was even more cringe worthy.

According to some posters T20s dont matter and are just for fun than not sure why Shakib was getting so serious when it doesnt even matter

It's quite sad to see that we cricket fans always want our cricketers to act like a saint on the field. If they make slightest of mistakes on the field, we tend to shower them with criticism.

No wonder cricket is dying as a sport.

What a ridiculous excuse and attempt at defending pathetically terrible behavior.

You should now stop to describe the full scenario to these bd haters. Better you should try to write down all the historical bad behavior incidents of all the players of all the nations to open up the eyes of those who think only bd players misbehave. Try to put on some incidents.

Okay so let's put it this way. This was a high voltage match. Lanka beat us in our home. We beat them first match and in the second match they too started using the Nagin dance. You could feel the rivalry.

Also playing the finals is a big thing for BD in this format where we are pretty bad

And in a crucial over the umpire first signals a no ball only to turn it down. Even if it wasnt intentional it was still wrong. Umpires should know the rules.

What Shakib did wasn't great but you should not blame the whole team.

Its different for other teams who have been playing cricket for almost a century.

Why? It doesn't make us better defaming others. Do you think, if I list all those incidents, it'll make any change?

That was a foolish act, no support for that. I would have appreciated had the Umpire got his fair share as well.

Me too. Shakib should be penalized.

Some posters as always are taking the focus off the main issue here. Srilankan umpires made a blatant naked biased decision by not giving a no ball.it was as clear as daylight. But they didn't ! Such decision is enough to pull the game in one's favor.Shakib was furious just for it nothing else.He may show overboard emotion but it is not such a crime as some people are claiming here.He was searching for his team's justice as captain. At the end BD players didn't come out.Shakib was just signalling to come out. But Ranatunga took his players out in Australia, Injamam took his players out in England.Gavasker also tried to do it in MCC.So it's not a new way to show displeasure.

Yea he may have more test runs than entire BD team. Your point?

I don't want to get involved with you on such silly things, but if Shakib had more wickets than Kumble, then this act would have been acceptable?

Heat of the moment Shakib did a mistake and he apologized for that; same this Gavaskar did - conceded a game when someone went personal to him - I am not sure what's your point here?

I thought, Shakib did bring the game in dispute, for which he should be reprimanded. But, now I have a 2nd thought from you - he has been the best all-rounder for almost a decade now; that status should allow him some space indeed.

Dude the reason why people don't cut you slack is because you make baseless comments out of nowhere

Don't you think it would sound better if you said : "that was a one-off thing, Gavaskar is a nice fella. Gentleman"

Some of the posters comments here are as childish, this is from posters from all Asian countries.

Comparing what SHakib did with 80s Gavaskar and 90s Ranatunga is crazy. The game has more eye balls now and the new system started in 2016 is just to make sure cricketers act in a professional way.

If the Umpire doesn't give an opposition batsman out in the next game , would the entire BD team walk away? WOuld you still compare that with Ranatunga who was defending his gun spinner against blatant bias or Inzi who was doing the same regarding tampering.

When did i ask anyone to cut me slack?

You drag a ATG like Gavaskar in a incident he has nothing to do with, people will react.

I mean really, dragging Gavaskar here. Next what? Lillee and then Holding? Look at the stature of the players you are dragging here. You think you will get polite replies?

No one is comparing with anything here, and no one is saying Shakib did the right thing - and that rule doesn't change for players' status.

Gavaskar incident was in 80s or may be 70s. I can list similar incidents by legends of that era. Lillee kicking Miandad. Holding kicking stumps. Under arm bowling and so on. None of that will be acceptable today. So your attempt to drag Gavaskar here is of no use.

BD team has little performance and too much pride. Then they have a cocky behaviour and act like world beaters. To top it all, they always try to play victim.

I didn't mention Gavaskar

And even if someone did then you could be more on point and say that Gavaskar was an absolute gentleman and it's a farce to bring up his name. More coherent isnt it?

Cut them some slack...they don’t find themselves in such positions every other day and it means the world to them.

Th cocky behavior comes from inferiority complex and insecurity.

I am personally looking forward to a India-Bangladesh final :)

It has nothing to do with stature. Every player is bound to follow the same rules. Some have found a knack to get around it without crossing the so called line like the earlier Australians and now Kohli. It's the comparison if eras that's at issue here because the rules are more stringent with millions of people watching the game.

I hope the C grade Indian team gives these Bangla bros the phainty of a lifetime :))

First of all, I am not dragging any one - rather, I am shamed today that BD Captain did something, which didn't bring glory to the nation. Obviously, that doesn't apply for you, because of what standard you set for your Captain, so there should be a difference - legend era is just a goal post shift.

Those days, there was no Match Referee either, hence Cricketers got away with many silly acts. I hope, you are not saying that Lillee, Gavaskar, Holding did something which was acceptable then. Players do silly things at the heat of the moment - Shakib accepted his mistake, it should end here.

And, no one is trying to play victim here, neither trying to defend Shakib - obviously, none of the BD posters got their post deleted here, for a reason you should know.

The problem is if we win it will be business as usual because one hand it is just Bangladesh and the other hand it is a trophy no one cares about but

I shudder to even imagine the reactions of the players and fans if they manage to win :))

Nidahas Trophy which I thought would be just waste of time turned out to be one big blockbuster entertainment.

On the other hand, PSL.... Lol

actually I support Shakib here. if umpire cheating knowingly then there's no meaning to play that match.

Clear case of someone with very low self-esteem trying to make up for it by being overly aggressive and proudy. Not a rare thing.

It appears that Pakistani and Indian fans will not take the chips of their shoulder as far as Bangladesh cricket is concerned.

What Shakib did was wrong, but it was in the heat of the moment. It was disgraceful umpiring, and many top players (and Shakib is an elite player) would have reacted in a similar fashion. Had Kohli or Sarfraz done this, people would have sung a different song.

Some very poor posts in this thread, but entirely predictable.

Your captain is the most childish, so maybe fix the problems at home first.

Look who's saying that! Is in't it your captain who screams and shouts at his own bowlers for every damn silly reason? First fix his psychological issues and fitness issues before pointing fingers at others.

Yeah fans don't taking it too well

BD will remain as a childish team for the entire cricketing history no matter how much you argue here. Their on-field antics are disgusting!

No wonder cricket is dying as a sport.

Aren't you the one who posted these words in the match thread "Shakib is not a captaincy material. Pathetic attitude from the captain if a national team." ??? And here you are talking like you have multiple personality disorder? Double standards after winning the match huh?

SL was wining hands down smashing all teams ruthlessly in WC'96 with Jaya and Kalu opening onslaught, but they never behaved in so ugly fashion what BD are doing after winning meaningless group match in Nidahas trophy

I hope Bangladesh win the final just to see the reactions.

This type of behaviour is good for crickets viewership and adds spice, but breaking the dressing room window is childish, they certainly did get carried away.

Winning does not give you the license to act foolishly. However, all teams have skeletons in their closest as far as immature behavior is concerned. There is no need to single Shakib and Bangladeshi cricketers out. The patronized attitude that Pakistani and Indian fans have when it comes to Bangladesh is very disappointing.

Indians have nothing against the style-of-celebrations of it's oppononents. Indians did like how Windies celebrated during 2016 WT20 semi-finals. But the way these bangladeshi kids celebrate with unnecessary intensity, over the top pride and over-acting emotions is totally classless and of poor taste! There's a difference between celebrations and disgusting antics!

No personal grudge on BD, only issue is the way BD fans take victories to mediaeval level celebrations (Photoshoping :msd skull in nobody bowlers hand, can't even remember his name sorry )
