He's completely come unto his own in this World Cup for Afghanistan.

He's doubling up as a very competent 3rd and even 2nd seamer and adding genuine batting depth and firepower to the batting lineup as well.

Absolute gem for Afghanistan.

Indeed, Azmatullah Omarzai’s display in this World Cup has been a thrill to witness. His dual role as a reliable seamer and a powerful batsman has been crucial for Afghanistan. Contributions in both departments were a treat to watch, making Afghanistan more competitive and unpredictable. Those chases against Pakistan and Sri Lanka were so well planned that we never really expected such planning from Afghanistan before and Azmat has contributed to those 2 historical chases for Afghanistan.​

Proving to be the only fit and performing seam all-rounder at the World Cup.
 
He is not that good.

He is in the team as an allrounder, but he is just having a purple patch here.

His bowling is ok and nothing special and also ends up playing cameos with the bat. Not a long run player. He is just like how when they bought Gulbaddin in as an allrounder, but he aswell couldnt bat much and bowled 5-6 overs.
 
I do not rate this guy. But i think he has potential. His wrist position for outswing is perfect. He needs to do a session with Wasim Akram and be more consisstent with his line and length.

Kid has potential, but tends to bowl rubbish with his missing line.
 
Azmatullah Omarzai reaches fifty after a quick 4 wickets at the top. He is the most improved cricketer in the last year, showcasing prowess with both bat and ball. In my opinion, he will definitely be among the top 3 all-rounders playing around the world at the moment. He is currently batting at 56*(59) against Sri Lanka in 1st ODI.

Azmatullah Omarzai reaches his maiden international century in style during the 1st ODI against Sri Lanka.

Azmatullah Omarzai's innings concludes at 54 off 59 balls against Sri Lanka in 3rd ODI.

Azmatullah Omarzai is the Hardik Pandya of Afghanistan cricket team.

But i guess he is better than Hardik as he is completely injury free & has no issues playing any match for his country.

After Rashid he might be one of the most valuable players in terms of being a match winner. He has improved his game a lot!
 
I'm a huge fan of this guy. I think he is one of the best limited-overs all-rounders in the world. Proper swing bowler with decent pace and a super capable batsman, who can play sensibly if the situation demands it or play the role of a finisher. I think he walks into any team in the world because of the balance he brings with his all-round abilities. And I feel he has only just gotten started.

Will be integral to Afghanistan's success in the coming years.
 
Nothing better than to have a good all rounder in your team who can bowl in any situation and can bat as well. He is more than handy batter and he is better than many batters of Afghanistan in the current squad.

He was a good find for Afghanistan and now is an integral part of this side.
 
An amazing knock of 86*(50) played by Omarzai against South Africa today in the 2nd ODI of the ongoing series between the both sides.
 
I genuinely believe that Azmatullah Omarzai is one of the best pure all-rounders in the world. We all saw what he did in the World Cup, but even after that he has put up some mega performances like his knock of 149* against Sri Lanka, 86* against South Africa in that ODI they won by 170+ runs and now a series winning performances with bat and ball against Bangladesh.

It's a shame Afghanistan don't play enough test cricket or bilaterals against teams like Australia, England, India. Otherwise his performances would be taken far more seriously.
 
A very good find for Afghanistan .

They needs more such players to win a ICC events .
 
Afghans are producing some exciting cricketers and this guy is one of them. I would call him a pure all-rounder. He can bat fine, more than handy bowler and a good fielder as well.
 
He is a world class player and will walk into many teams right now.

Properly capable of batting no 4 and has both natural swing and ability to hit deck as bowler at reasonable pace.

Azmatullah Omarzai is the first non-Pakistani fast bowler to take a five-wicket haul in ODIs at Gaddafi Stadium in the 21st century.

For me he was MOTM. Because had he not taken those wickets at such crucial junctures, Afghanistan would have lost. I know Zadran scored 177, but Omarzai's bowling is what won the match. And he scored a quickfire 41 with the bat too.
