[VIDEOS] Dewald Brevis (AB 2.0)

What a knock. Dewald smashes 41-ball century against Australia in second T20I. It’s South Africa’s second-fastest century in men’s T20Is behind David Miller (35 balls)

Dewald Brevis has hit the most sixes in T20s this year

He is averaging 42.81 at a strike rate of 185.43 in 2025 so far.

Dewald Brevis now holds the record for the highest individual score in T20 Internationals for South Africa, surpassing Faf du Plessis’ 119 against the West Indies in 2015.

He also became the youngest South African to score a T20I century, breaking Richard Levi’s record from 2012 when Levi achieved the feat at age 24 against New Zealand.

In addition, Dewald Brevis became the first player in history to score a T20I century against Australia on their home soil.

Brevis broke 3 records. Impressive.

I expect him to become one of the legends if he can play for 15-20 years.

Good player but raw atm... His recent form is making him look like bradman.. Give him some time.

He departs for a golden duck against Pakistan in the first Test at Lahore, courtesy of good bowling from Sajid Khan.

People wrote him off after his initial failures in LOIs. HE has come back. Similar thing will happen in Tests.

Boy is playing Test in ODI settings... 37 off 33 on a difficult pitch against Pakistan... He can win the game here for his team.

Completes his 50 with a 6... 50 off just 51 balls on a spinners' heaven pitch... Nice

Lot of hype but not much on show yet. The run a ball innings in tests won’t happen every time and sometimes surviving a phase of the game is all you need to do.

He's just 22, his time will come. The level of talent is undeniable.

Dewald Brevis has been ruled out of this series due to a low-grade shoulder muscle strain he suffered during the third T20I.

Baby AB departs after playing a fiery knock of 54(34) against India in the 2nd ODI at Raipur.

He is the spitting image of AB when batting. I can see why he has been compared to AB ever since he started playing on junior level, though personally I am against such comparisons because it puts unnecessary pressure on players to live up to expectations certain people (who don't really matter) have set for them.

When Grigor Dimitrov burst on to the scene he too was given the nickname 'Baby Fed' because of the striking similarity between his playing style and the playing style of the GOAT Roger Federer. But in the end, he was never able to live up to those lofty expectations.
