Obviously because Gralam dropped a catch off Rauf's bowling but still unacceptable behaviour from Haris. Drop catches happen in games and Haris needs to suck it up instead of displaying Jaahil behaviour on national television.
 
Not acceptable, PCB should take note.

Not like Pak players do the same to him when he is getting hit all over.

When i first saw it, i thought that was Banter from Haris and the commentators mentioned that both play in the same domestic side. Was this banter or a serious shove by Haris? If a serious shove, he needs to be banned.
 
Great response from Kamran Ghulam, didn't react seriously
 
Even if it was banter, it's unacceptable behaviour. Should be banned for a couple of matches.
 
I think Kamran Ghulam is taking fielding too lightly in the last few matches and had grin on his face when he dropped the catch (which might give the impression that he is not taking it seriously). He is always grinning whenever he misfields. This is infuriating for fast bowlers. Nonetheless, unacceptable behaviour by Haris Rauf.

Yep it was abit of fun Harris generally has a aggressive nature and his banter is also aggressive hence why ghulam whacked his chest after
 
It was a wierd "all in fun" on a cricket field and must be discouraged. It has to get investigated and punished severely if "not in fun". This tournament is being shown in many countries. Is this what you wanna portray as "fun" in Pakistan? Complete nonsense!
 
their has been talk that haris rauf gets a little too agressive while bowling(shahen said on a talk show..” he goes crazy” and his actions today show that. banter or no banter u cant disrespect someone like that
 
At most, the maximum punishment should be a 15% fine of fees from Haris Rauf. No match bans needed

"in fun" or whatever, they can do it in dressing room but not when millions are watching on TV. This is not a tap ball cricket game on street, disgraceful.
 
It was teammates having a a laugh. Some of you seriously need to man up. If you think this needs to be investigated, fines or bans handed out, then that's just embarrassing.
 
I thought that live it looked quite odd. Sure there’s no hard feelings, but it was a bit strange.

no chance would any pak player try to do this with a "senior", junior hai tau raub jama raha hai. needs to be reprimanded IMO.
 
Don’t think it affected Ghulam too much, he did play some class strokes when he was batting

its not banter, look at shaheen's face. also i have watched a min longer video. it was a proper smash on the face . fine him 50% of the match, and he should be banned for atleast 6 months. you just cant disrespect the person/game and the league like this .......

when will PCB teach these kind of idiots how to handle a pressure situation in a match ......

rauf slapping kamran was no banter.. you can go watch a longer video of the event on fb
 
Those who think this was actual hostile, have never been around group of boys in sports. You will be slapped, pranked, shoved, there will be sexual jokes etc. Look at raufs funny face.
 
Those who say that this was just playful banter are plain wrong. This video shows clearly just how enraged Haris Rauf was, how he cursed out Kamran Ghulam, and then stayed angry even when the nicer fellow ignored the push and tapped him on his chest to congratulate him. This is jahil behavior that has no place on the field and Haris Rauf should be punished.

This was poor by Haris, this senior junior culture needs to end, I have heared horrible stories how seniors treat juniors in dressing room, trainings and hotels.

Why is it so hard for you to understand boys do all sort of things in their private circle but professional sportsmen know how to act when millions of people watching on TV and when in dressing room .

Is there an example of any other international cricket player from any team displaying this type of deyhaati jahaalut? Is he playing street cricket? Perhaps his mind is still stuck at that level?

I haven’t seen any fun n banter of this type.

And even if it was “fun” and “banter”, it was totally uncalled for.

He should be ready to RECEIVE such kinda banter n fun from fellow team mates when he gets smacked for fours and sixes.

Don’t give what you can’t take back.

Oh come on mann, this is clearly a banter with some kind of agressive happyness. You see this all the time in football when celebrations happens after a goal, you will see people get smacked specially the south americans do that all the time.
 
Forcefully made video by LQ. They know Harris can get banned for what he did and thus to make sure nothing of that sorts happen they have made that video...

People defending this, well if you like being slapped around in public is banter than no point arguing with you
 
As per reports:

Match referee Ali Naqvi summoned Rauf after the match and warned him to be careful in future.

Apparently the referee told Rauf that such acts on the field could damage the image of the game.

They further added that the on-field umpires did not file any complaint with the match referee in this regard as the matter was between the two players of the same team hence, it wasn’t considered as serious.
 
So the temper thing is a well-known problem for him it seems....

He can show all the aggression he wants as long as he doesn't cross the line.
 
This is not acceptable at all. This is assault.

I know it is common in subcontinent but this shouldn't happen in professional cricket.
 
No player should be physically pushing, slapping or hitting another player, whether in jest or not this shouldnt be happening and is unacceptable behaviour

Fun in Rauf's mind I mean and Ghulam probably was more shocked than anything else.

Just looked weird and quite right that Rauf has been warned.

Being a professional, this kind of banter/action is uncalled for. Poor Ghulam didn't know how to respond.

Can't believe some are trying to justify this behaviour as banter. This is just downright terrible.
 
I don't think it was banter.

If you look at Shaheen's reaction when Haris Rauf slaps/ shoves Kamran Ghulam, he had some serious/ concerned look at Haris Rauf.

The management can make any forced video of them hugging post-match they want, but in the heat of the moment, it was serious.

So Haris Rauf should be given a warning (which he already has) and 50% fine of match fees.
 
I am sure Rauf would've lost the plot if Kamran or anyone else had celebrated by slapping Rauf in similar fashion.

I've seen people showing all aggression like this in jest but starts fighting when someone else does the same.

Sometimes he's a bit of a loose cannon which doesn't look great.
