I hope Misbah and other selectors are watching his bowling. He has been getting really good bounce and zip along with good accuracy. He has good FC record and I think he should be part of test squad as a bowler to NZ or atleast Shaheens squad. His ability to bat a bit will be bonus.

We are lacking experience and consistency in bowling in our longer format cricket and in NZ that would be required.

7 wickets till now in the match but more than the wickets it has been the zip and extra bounce he has been getting.

He can go upto high 130 kph.

I believe, pace alone is an overrated attribute. People often get excited by seeing a pacer who can ball 145 kph or more and I would be lying if I say I dont get excited but for performances in international cricket you need much more than that.

People usually forget the Srl pacers who bowled pretty well in series win in SA. All of them averaged somewhere in 130s and I doubt there were many deliveries even 140+ by them. Key was the consistency and extra bounce some of them were getting with their height on those surfaces.

Instead of Shaheen ? No.
Could be a good 2nd or 3rd pacer choice ahead of Wahab, Rauf, Hasnain or Hasan, those 4 are his competition.

Some people will never accept it and will try to defend Faheem's selection just like Aaqib.
