Lol, he bowled one over. That too when he was full of nerves give him time.Got hit all over the park today. Is he just another case of PP overhyping him as the next Abdul Razzaq?
Apart from his inaccuracy, he's a good prospect. If he is the upcoming talent, then may Allah help us.
He isnt, bowls like a kid playing county cricket for Derbyshire for the 1st time. A million miles from being an international crickete.Apart from his inaccuracy, he's a good prospect.
Some people on pakpassion were in tears when he was omitted in the T20 against England in favour of Wahab Riaz. Based on what we saw today from him, I am glad he is not yet in the national squad. Terrible showing!!!

If you were expecting the second coming of Imran Khan in his very first match then you were only setting yourself up for failure.
Ammad recovered very well after the horrendous first over.
What hype? The hype he was receiving here clearly gave the impression that he was some messianic saviour of Pakistan cricket
Based on two overs?Club level. Next.
He touched 140 kph a few times in his second over...The problem is that he is again in that mid 130's range.
It is unbelievable that all our bowling prospects are in this range and all our batting prospects are unable to clear the circle.
What has happened to pace and big hitting? Where did that disappear? We were natural at these things when they weren't even in fashion but this is just downright saddening.
Experts writing him off after 2 overs in a T20 match when he was bowling to set batsmen.
Saj Bhai he looks nothing a fast bowler... where's the pace? He was bowling gentle high 120ers

He touched 140 kph a few times in his second over...
He also looked too skinny to be a fast bowler... like he looks smaller than the average cricketer.. like his built wasn't atheletic
Probably the first Pakistani cricketer in last 15 years with a six pack.
Maybe Anwar Ali and Younis Khan are close but doubt anyone else.

Big Mac
He was touted as being a 140+ bowler, hence my disappointment.
At 135 pace, he also bowls quite wayward and that is the most disappointing aspect about him.
Ofc, I'm not writing him off completely and he does deserve more games to prove himself.
Never believe anything you hear about an uncapped player until you see him play for yourself. They're all hyped up as world class talents by one person or another just to create another way to criticise the selectors/captain/coaches etc
Believing the hype just leads to disappointment, and a decent young player gets written off because they're not the next coming of Viv Richards or Malcolm Marshall as the supposed PP experts would have you believe.
bowled well in a tough situation. should have been given more overs.

I've maintained that the way he's hyped up by some, and from what I've seen of him, he's just another Nawaz-type product of the pp hype machine.
I saw him in the domestic tournament, was live on PTV, and batting against pretty poor bowlers - looked like a tailender.
Bowling was rubbish today but I'm willing to give him more chances in the PSL.
I called out Nawaz in PSL 1, let's see if Butt can impress.
This guy too plays with straight bat. Good physique too. He can be a 140+ fast bowling all-rounder but he needs to learn line and length and use some brains.

where is he? is he in any of the squads for the pakistan cup
He has much more potential than Hammad Azam or Aamer Yamin.Excellent all-round performance in round 4 of QeA vs Karachi Whites (only his 2nd FC game this season):
Batting:
1st innings: scored 63 (team was bowled out for 137)
2nd innings: scored 55 (team was bowled out for 191)
Bowling:
1st innings: 14-2-46-2
2nd innings: 3-0-11-1
He has much more potential than Hammad Azam or Aamer Yamin.
But he's not going to develop playing domestic cricket. He needs to be in the international squad to bat and bowl against the best in the nets, with the best coaches around.
His problem is that his torso contracts before the ball is delivered. Subsequently, losing pace and putting unnecessary strain on the body. Domestic coaches in an attempt to rectify this issue have completely ruined his action, he's more side on now but his arms are all over the place. He is playing for IU in the PSL, so hopefully that helps brings him into the fold. Mushtaq Ahmed in a recent interview did mention they are keeping an eye on him, so if he keeps putting in performances I am sure he will get his chance.
How would you rate him compared to the likes of Hussain Talat and Fahim Ashraf?

Hussain Talat is a batting all-rounder so can't really compare them much. Ammad and Fahim have similar potential with the bat, but Ammad is far superior with the ball.
Unfortunately I don't believe our system can groom Ammad as he's very, very raw.
Amad Butt carries on his good bowling form with 5-26 against KRL.
6-106 for Amad butt today in QeA super 8's.... The guy is slowly but surely getting there
As Usual once again he played Gun knocks under pressure just like his debut FC season. (MENTAL Toughness)
He needs to name the person who destroyed his action otherwise He would have played for Pak by now. Slowed down, Ave, SR dipped. Shame.
He's not getting enough praise for his recent performances. Has really come into his own towards the later stages of QeA.
Take this match for example.
Top scored in first innings with 82 (143), 7 fours and 1 six.
Took 3-21 from 16 overs to help his side secure a 50 run lead.
In the second innings, his side collapsed and he came in at 42-5. Top-scored with 35 (78), hitting only one boundary. These two innings show he has mental toughness and good match awareness; can play his strokes as well as dig in when needed.
Only had 159 to defend. Took 3-17 from 10 overs to help reduce the opposition to 3-3. Ended up losing but was the stand out player.
Continuing where he left off in FC cricket it seems:
First round vs Islamabad: Amad Butt: 2-53 (17.3) and 3-35 (13).
The fact this guy is not even in the national squad speaks volumes about Pakistan’s bowling depths.
