Was it right to award Hall of Fame honors to Mushtaq Mohammad, Saeed Anwar, Inzamam-ul-Haq, Misbah?

how do even compare
The batting stats of 2 guys batted at different positions? Also one is a wk-batsman, other is a genuine middle order batsman. Comparing a 5th down batter with a 3rd down batter and expecting me to have uniformity of thoughts? Smh.
Dhoni batted more than half of his career at 5 or 6.
He batter at 7 way less as compared to anove positions first of all

Secondly he was captain of india in the same era as misbah

Thirdly it is widely accepted here that dhoni is far superior player but reality is in tests he is not

Dhoni’s 114 innings out of 144 test innings are at number 7 and below.

Move on. :)

10 hundreds in 75 Tests is something I would be proud of for a guy who bats at number 7-8 and has 300+ Test wickets

It’s not HOF worthy credentials. You are lowering your national standards if this is acknowledged as HOF worthy.

And most of these hundreds came from batting in the UAE.

Averaged under 30 in Pakistan when he played in the 2000s.

He was nowhere near as good Younis Khan, Inzamam and Yousuf but somehow he’s a Hall of famer.

I still don't get it. Some of the reasons listed as to why misbah was inducted don't even make sense.

For example only batsmen to be dismissed for 99 in tests 3x? Or only batter to score 5000 runs in odi without a single century?

What kind of achievement is that?

Putting Misbah in hall of Fame appears to be a joke...how can he be there when a lot of legends are yet to be inducted in HOF

This is refreshing to read from someone who's highly regarded as an impartial fan of Pakistan cricket.

Having Misbah as HOF is setting the bar very low. I would get it if he was playing for Bangladesh, however this award makes a mockery of all the greats that Pakistan cricket has produced over the years.

Misbah probably got in Hall of fame because he held the test maze for a day. He dominated Test matches for Pakistan as the most successful captain. I see that is the only achievement he has.

Not deserving when compared to all other who got it.

Listen if Misbah is to be given HOF, sure, not a problem... because Pakistan as a nation does not have too much going for it. But, not in many many years before some people who deserve it more. That's my take on this. I can't feel happy for him because I'm getting the same vibes I'm getting when he was appointed both Head Coach and Chief Selector. Like there is obviously some favouritism and unjust actions going on behind the scenes which keep promoting him.

Again, I actually wouldn't mind if he's inducted into this prestigious group way down the line. But now?? Before so many other deserving people?? Naw

I am of the opinion that Misbah did come through for Pakistan in their dark times and did provide much needed benefits, but the danger that he put our cricket in ended up being far worse. It was like a temporary fix for permanent damage. The whole culture and lack of growth we see in Pakistan cricket right now has a wholllleee lot to do with him. To think he returned to high level positions in PCB even after retirement to make heighten the damage. One of the major culprits of our current ancient style of cricket.

Hard to take these HOFs seriously now when there is bias going around. My god when will we come out of this as a nation
