Inzamam in a video on his YouTube channel:

"I have been hearing about this controversy with Danish, that when he played then some boys didn't think well about him or didn't want to eat with him or go out with him"

Is the no one eats with Kaneria coming from Shoaib Akhter youtube channel? The guy would go to any lengtht for views and subscribers. He is least trustworthy person these days.
 
Narcissist Akhtar has learnt the art of social media in sub-continent, any publicity is a good publicity so long it can gain followers and likes.

I never used to like Akhtar but this has just made me hate him even more.
 
I don't think Inzamam did this or let this happen. He seems too classy a guy for it. But, might it have happened to Kaneria under some other captain?
 
Inzi played kaneria even when we fans wanted him dropped .kaneria was his go to bowler and he rarely operated without him.

Only with Indians as they are the only one who believe in caste systems.

In Islam, there is no caste system so therefore that defeats the whole point of sharing plates with others because they are non-Muslims since Islam doesn’t believe in caste systems nor the category of class system either.

Because a disgraced cricketer is looking for way out instead of feeling remorse for betraying Pakistan and the county team in the past. Because of that, no want will want anything to do with the disgraced cricketer who is using religion as point scoring for sympathy and shortcut to relevancy in the mainstream medias.

Anytime something like happens or comes to light folks are always curious whether (a) it’s true and (b) how widespread it is.

I can’t comment on (b) because there’s no statistical data on prevailing attitudes. What I would say is that Hindu-phobia Or Anti-semitism or anti ahmadi/Shia attitudes are pervasive.
Having said that at federal policy level anti-minority bigotry doesn’t drive actions. The country has a sordid past but the present and future doesn’t seem to be there.

Very weird statements from Danish. I used to play club cricket around the same time these guys were vying for national team. Saw both Danish and Faisal Iqbal a few times at hbl sports complex and it never appeared that he was being ignored by his team mates. If anything, he looked as someone respected due to his potential.

I think someone rightly pointed out that this anti minority phobia is something that is in the rural areas perhaps definitely not in the cities. I have played with, studied with and worked with so many Hindus in karachi and I have never seen them being chastised.

Maybe Danish just wants attention now that his case is lost.
 
I know it will be used by the Fascist Hindutuva to prove their point but I hope we use this to educate our pindus on how to behave respectfully with minorities.

Good diplomatic stuff from Inzi but this doesn't make much sense to me, I thought Kaneria was Pakistani?!
 
i remember kaneria was selected for world cup 2007 even after pathetic record in odis and having played handful of odi matches. kaneria is just playing religion card and akhter is just giving air to fire.

And he has done it successfully. He is getting all the sympathy from India and the coverage he is getting is unbelievable. SA has done some damage to Pakistan with all this.

He said that in his very first interview (on Indian TV after this saga began), that Inzi, Moyo, YK all supported him.

Inzi seems to be refuting the part about other players.

Inzimam’s stature has taken massive nosedive? Everybody know that Shoaib Akhtar is known to be dramaybaaz and attention seeker.

Inzimam doesn’t have reputation for being liar unlike Shoaib Akhtar. Even Danish Kaneria couldn’t fault Inzimam as major source of discrimination which would have been the whole point of discrimination to begin with.

Danish Kaneria is disgraced cricketer who lost favour with Pakistan cricket and England cricket due to his involvements in fixing for betraying Pakistan and England.

Now he is using the build-up tension between Pakistan and India to maintain relevancy as the last resort like the shameless cheater.

And then we have shameless Shoaib Akhtar given his history. Normally people aren’t bothered with his past lifestyle but his mouth defines himself as shameless just to clarify.

Both don’t have shred of decency nor the honesty to commend the reputation of trustworthy as Inzimam has acquired and known for.

It is open and shut case why Shoaib Akhtar and Danish Kaneria are doing these. #sold out souless!!!

In India for sure Inzi's stature has taken a massive hit. Because Indian news channels are all about how bad Pakistan and Pakistanis are and will play it up, add other unrelated items and create a massive story.

This is not to say discrimination doesn't happen in Pakistan and also not to say eating together in some household with minorities maybe a problem. However, it is not widespread.

However, in India, it would just mean another confirmation of Pakistan being a dark place.

Inzi's stature has fallen for some in Pakistan but that would be due to his later years of captaincy and some decisions as selection committee head - pure cricketing reasons.

Danish didn’t acknowledge it. He is still downplaying Shoaib Akhtar’s words aa deflection of Inzimam as major source of discrimination while using Akhtar’s confession as means to maintain relevancy.

It is confused interview from the disgraced cricketer that neither acknowledges Inzimam as major source of discrimination nor denying Akhtar’s confessions as testament to maintain relevancy in build-up hyped tension between Pakistan and India.

It is smell of greediness and frustration all over the place seeking relevancy through the shortcut like shameless disgraced cheater.

Yes. There are bigots in our society just as there are everywhere else. What you are referring to is very common among urban elites who often have Christian maids, sweepers. They are elitist, closet bigots who only marry their children among fellow elitists and are the kind of people who put up Christmas trees for Christmas but keep separate utensils, glasses, cutlery for the hired help.

I'm sure some kind of discrimination against Kaneria must have taken place. I don't expect him to just make this up. But Shoaib Akhtar is not bringing this up because he genuinely cares about minorities. He is bringing it up for his own selfish reasons which are to get publicity. The guy is practically an edgelord and I have seen him try to get attention a number of times on TV where he often says how there is a conspiracy in the works against players from Karachi and how so few Karachi players are in the side now.

I know people who have specifically told me that their religion is the reason they won't use utensils that have been used by them. Educated, well-to-do people. And I'm also sure this is commonplace throughout the sub-continent.

You need to learn to read a little more clearly. I said there are bigots in our society, I didn't say our society is full of bigots. I am sharing something from personal experience because I know these type of people, I know their friends and I know the kind of conversations they have. You can choose to think such a thing does not exist but that won't make it true.

This is enough reasoning for me to believe what Inzi is saying.

Sorry to say, but my suspicion of Shoaib selling himself out for the indian youtube views with the whole danish kaneria drama was true.

Shoaib's whole statement was his usual me, me and me and then with the added flavour of minority oppression.

Then those people are lying. Even we use separate utensils for our hired help who is muslim because they tend to be low on the hygiene and well even the utensils for guests are kept separately. So, its more about feeling comfortable in your own family's skin.

That's different. But when people hear people say certain things it becomes clear how they think. All I'm saying is that bigotry exists everywhere, and should be condemned across the board. It's not a finger-pointing contest.
 
Some unsubstantiated allegations about Inzi etc being made here.

If you have a newspaper article link etc then share with others, else stop stating your opinion as fact.
 
Most of the players have denied what shabby and kaneria are saying. Even the disgruntled faisal iqbal denied the allegations. If shoaib and kaneria have a name or two then they must tell in media and dont start the game of speculations.
