You won't be able to get away with it in UAE, where you gonna need to play smart cricket and good shots rather than just come down the ground and hit six.

On another occasion he missed a double when he leisurely ran a single thinking ball will cross the boundary but, it was extremely well saved by Faheem and Azam only could get a single.

Azam needs to take his cricket more seriously and has to be more professional than this. He is a young guy but, needs to sort his issues out soon otherwise his cricket career can take an unwanted direction in next 2-3 years.

Despite horrendous performance and fitness levels , it is unlikely that he will be dropped. Nepotism in its worst form this guy Azam Khan . Someone pointed out rightly that there is sense of entitlement on his face and it shows in his overall demeanour and attitude . Pakistan fans will have to pray for miracle in world t20

Azam Khan grew up playing cricket for his dad’s club on his dad’s own ground where he probably would have just stand and deliver and not bother to take runs. Now that he is amongst big boys and in the real world, he is getting exposed big time.

He should not worry too much about taking risky singles if he can make it up with his boundary making stokes more often and more effectively. Just stay in the crease.

If he does that, the only thing we will have to come over will be the sheer embracement by looking at his physique and calling him a national level sportsman and athlete by Pak standards.

He is being forced by his father to keep wickets when clearly he lacks fitness and skills for that. Only reason given by Muhammad Wasim for his selection is that he is a back up wicketkeeper. If thats the case then its a terrible choice . In this tournament , he has missed a run out chance , a caught behind , 2 stumping chance, only because he cant field , lets give him wicket keeping to hide his shortcomings

Good keepers are born, not made. You have to be gifted with agility, fitness and be hardworking, like Rizwan and Azam's father . Azam possesses none of those qualities . Moeen trying hard to find a reason for Azam to be relevant in any team but keeping is the last thing Azam is made for .

I think Azam can be successful goal keeper , for obvious reason , not a wicket keeper.

It will genuinley turn people off from Pakistan cricket.
