[VIDEOS] Lahore Qalandars PSL 8 | Squad and Discussion Thread

Fakhar Zaman of Lahore Qalandars gifted a plot in Qalandars City for his excellent performance against Peshawar Zalmi

Fakhar Zaman was also given an iPhone as a gift

Cash prize for Man of the Match Shaheen Shah Afridi was also given

I thought, with Harry Brook not being around, that LQ’s batting order may suffer. How wrong was I?

It’ll take a special performance to beat these lot.

Billings is a shrewd replacement for Brook.

Good recruitment by Qalandars.

Qalandars are now the first team in PSL history to add 80+ runs after the fall of the 7th wicket.

Aaqib Javed today - It was an amazing win, this is what Rashid does, bring something with the ball. It's good for the team and for Shaheen, each and everyone contributed. Bowlers win you tournaments, no one can have a bowling attack like this, not even international teams. Sikander Raza is a brave man, he and Rashid have been a blessing for us.

Outstanding performance from Lohare and outstanding captaincy from Shaheen.

Shaheen's captaincy has turned around the fortunes of the franchise. Goes to show how important the captain is for the Franchise and Team's fortunes.

Very much so, from the laughing stock of PSL to the most valuable team of the tournament - what a turnaround!

Lahore Qalandars gift prizes for the performance against Quetta Gladiators:

Player of the Match, Sikandar Raza got a plot of land in Qalandar City

Rashid Khan got an iPhone 14 for his good bowling

Haris Rauf got an award of Starlet shoes for the whole year

LQ just need one more win to guarantee being in Qualifier 1. Thus I think you’ll probably see a lot of the main guys rested.

Personally looking forward to seeing Shahwaiz Irfan, Jalat Khan, Dilber and Shane Dadswell.

LQ need to chase in a few games so that they are not caught off guard in the semis or finals

LQ are running away with this. Rashid Khan is their game changer - rest of them are doing their bit but nothing that huge.

LQ have only chased in one game and that is the one they have lost. They should attempt chasing in remaining matches in the group stage.

Lahore Qalandars specially invited the 50 children of the police martyrs (KPK attack victims) to watch their PSL 8 match against PZ, they were seated in the Javed Miandad enclosure.

This shawaiz Irfan looks like a shocking player. Looks like he’s in his mid 20s and looks like an absolute hack. Another wild slogger who I don’t think will ever make it. Pakistan are just not producing any world class batters which is sad to see

Very strange trend emerging for Lahore. A 100% win rate while defending, a 100% loss rate while chasing.

Seems the batsmen are far more comfortable finding the middle of the bat when there's no scoreboard pressure.

If they beat Islamabad next, they will have all but secured top spot. So it would probably be a good idea to choose to bat 2nd against KK in their final match, try to get this out of their system.

This year thier are a number of players who look more than decent previous years you would be lucky to get 1 outstanding player.

Top spot secured with a game to spare. They need to chase in that final game if they have the choice, some practise needed.

what a joke lahore qalandars’s batting is when they bat second. They better hope they win all tosses in the playoffs. If they lose the toss and are asked to chase they may as well forfeit the match there and then.
