Promoted to open in the top end t20 series game against Adelaide Strikers and scored a quickfire 50.

Everyone wants to be a opener.Scored a ton today and had bowled well so far in this series , very good prospect indeed.
King is back finallyMaaz Sadaqat, representing Peshawar, scored 114 on day 2 of fourth round of qeat 25-26
Yep... already took 2 wickets for 14 in 3 overs. He’s a very handy bowler too.
Him and Saim can be top ranked all-rounders for Pakistan in T20
Useful cricketer but looks quite limited against decent bowlers.Overhyping in progress...
Encourage him to do better but don't overdo it.
Fans here want to quickly stamp a player. These young coming players should be free to play domestic for a while before they are inducted in the side.Overhyping in progress...

Think the hype may be true - currently flaying India A with ease
At 19 there is still a huge scope for improvement. Not ready for intls yet but has all the ingredients to become a future superstar.Good game for him. Hope he plays more domestic and Pakistan A games and develops into a an opening batter allrounder
Not ready for international yet, as i think he needs to bring his one day avgs up. For t20, maybe another psl season would give an idea whether he can be fast tracked for the upcoming world t20 or not.
But he looks like a good prospect.

Lets hope he does. Pakistani youngsters turn out to be duds at international, so lets see what he doesAt 19 there is still a huge scope for improvement. Not ready for intls yet but has all the ingredients to become a future superstar.
If we can play dud like Hasan Nawaz, why not this player for senior team.Agree. Too early to bring him into the senior team yet
If we can play dud like Hasan Nawaz, why not this player for senior team.
Hasan Nawaz would also smash such bowlers which India A were playing today. No need to rush these youngsters into the national team. We usually rush these players and then see them struggling at that level and start criticizing them after a couple of bad games. If we can play dud like Hasan Nawaz, why not this player for senior team.
No Hasan nawaz is unable to smash it even in pak domesticsHasan Nawaz would also smash such bowlers which India A were playing today. No need to rush these youngsters into the national team. Exactly, Aap apne Dimagh per Zyada zorr na diya karain. You are clueless.I has lost all my patience with Saim but glad the team management persisted
He surely is.Is he the next big thing from Pakistan?
Is he the next big thing from Pakistan?
It may take years but his yesterday's inn proved he has potential to be among Pakistani greats if handled well by the board. He isn’t the next big thing but he certainly has the ingredients to establish him as a consistent player for Pakistan cricket. Once he managed that, only then should we analyse if he is the next big thing for Pak.
The good thing is, his attitude shows resilience, grit and determination. That is key to a longevity career at top level which recent break through players have failed to show. Nice to see another spin all rounder come through the ranks, we need more of Hafeez regens.

The problem is if he’s selected and doesn’t perform in every single game, he’ll be dropped. Look at Hassan Nawaz’ example.
There was brief hope a few months ago, but it looks like Babar and Rizwan have wrested back control of the team, so back to the usual stale, boring nonsense
Yes, keep it up by making sure you do not copy his selfish brand of cricket!Keep it up kiddo!!!
The current regime will be brutal for these youngsters, we can only hope they set the world on fire from game one or the PR machine behind the scenes will make sure they are kept out or sent to domestic cricket as ‘punishment’. Imagine Abdul Razzaq or Shahid Afridi or Azhar Mahmood were let go completely early into their careers, they were given key roles by Wasim in contrast & backed quiet well.
Surprised to see Babar Azam strike rate higher than Sahibzada Farhan strike rate.In the last 2 years new guys have played more matches than seniors overall. Farhan has played exact same number of matches that Babar has played.
Minimum 25 matches in the last 2 years. Those numbers are grim.

farhan has more six counts. Babar has more four counts. Dot balls probably more or less the same.Surprised to see Babar Azam strike rate higher than Sahibzada Farhan strike rate.
Hitting sixes in T20 does matter and that's a fact!Farhan is a chakkah hitter. That’s all that matters for @Rana
Not when you play 5 dots after hitting a 6.Hitting sixes in T20 does matter and that's a fact!
He deserves as long a run as Saim has got. A rare breed in Pakistan where he doesn’t have to take too many risks to score quickly.Maaz truly is gifted. Another good innings
Hope so the board won't waste this talent

Yasir Khan is one more to watch out for, but he hasn’t hit top form yet. Another batter who can score quickly by playing normal cricketing strokes.
Yasir has that knack of looking good then throwing his wicket away, so that shows a lack of game awareness. I like the look of him though, as he plays attacking strokes without the need to go airborne unnecessarily. Let's hope he kicks on as he is still fairly young.Yasir Khan has not performed well at all and will go down in the pecking order. Niazi is a brilliant fielder and he's batting in middle order where no one else is so he also has that edge. Maaz this tournament has been absolutely on fire, if he finishes it well, there's an outside chance of him being selected for the T20 squad.
In terms of batters: Maaz. Niazi. Faiq.
In terms of bowlers: Shah jr.
In terms of all rounders (bits and pieces players): Saad Masood. Ahmed Danyal.
I also wish they persist with Hassan as he's really talented in terms of hitting. He should also open instead of batting in the lower middle order. In terms of top 4, this is a really attacking top 4 in T20 cricket.
Maaz
Hassan
Saim
Farhan/Rizwan/any other keeper
Naeem is also good.Yasir has that knack of looking good then throwing his wicket away, so that shows a lack of game awareness. I like the look of him though, as he plays attacking strokes without the need to go airborne unnecessarily. Let's hope he kicks on as he is still fairly young.
I still cannot believe the likes of Babar, Salman and Usman are part of our T20 team when you look at our Shaheens team and other individuals in domestic circuit. There is Abdullah Fazal aswell who has done very well in QeA this season and was a beast in the National T20 too.
Hassan Nawaz has been mucked about as the lad batted at four maximum in the PSL, but ends up batting number 6 or 7 for Pakistan. They were just destroying his career batting him there, just to accommodate Babar and Salman.

IF that is true, then kudos to Sarfaraz... He made the right call.. Faham is not even 1% of what Maaz is atm in t20s.@topspin @shaz619 found this on X. Some journalist with some following reported this
“Sarfaraz Ahmed has once again proved that he is not only a great captain but also an honest man.
According to Rashid Latif, when the Pakistan Shaheens squad for the Emerging Asia Cup was being finalized, Sarfaraz Ahmed was part of the selection committee. Initially, it was decided that Misbah-ul-Haq’s son, Faham-ul-Haq, would be included in the team. But Sarfaraz insisted that the spot rightfully belonged to Maaz Sadaqat.
He said, “I agree that Faham is a good kid and Misbah’s son, but if you want to select on merit, then Maaz Sadaqat must be chosen.” And Sarfaraz was proven right — Maaz Sadaqat justified his selection by playing a brilliant innings against India.”
So the Parchi Faham was supposed to go ahead of Maaz but Sarfaraz changed the selection to Maaz? This is very interesting @Major

Sarfaraz has always had the best interest of Pakistan at heartIF that is true, then kudos to Sarfaraz... He made the right call.. Faham is not even 1% of what Maaz is atm in t20s.
And maaz has proved his selection right... Has been in top form
Good that he preferred Maaz over Faham...Sarfaraz has always had the best interest of Pakistan at heart
Not Misbah. Misbah only cares about himself, his friends, his family, his agency and his ideology. None of them are in it for Pakistan.
Good that he also exposed Misbah ul Haq’s parchi system too.Good that he preferred Maaz over Faham...
why?
Because
1: Maaz deserved it
2: Maaz is a multi-talented (can bowl, bat, field 100%) and he is very close to the national call as well...
Faham is no where near the team atm... He should play more QEA and Hanif muhammad games and other domestic games
Yeah... Another plus point... If faham deserved it, nobody would have questioned it, but for T20s, Faham is gonna be a big parchi if he gets to play ahead of Maaz...Good that he also exposed Misbah ul Haq’s parchi system too.

Dude barbara has had 50% ducks since his comeback in t20.Oh God , @Rana intent merchant ki handi beech chowk mai toot gyi, Babar SR > Farhan unbelievable , so much BS we've read about how the team will be re vitalise, Hassan Nawaz and M Haris are already discarded whose left then ?
Imagine we have two spin bowling all rounder openers man.If Maaz ends up doing good in the PSL, i would like to see him in the Pakistan team.
But this will open a new issue as the opening slot is with Ayub and Farhan and i like both of them. Unless Farhan is shifted to one down maybe to adjust Maaz as an opener.
