Musheer khan also scored a brilliant hundred in the Ranji Trophy final.

He needs to have at least 2 full domestic seasons under his belt to even judge him.

A lot of Indian batsmen in the past had hype early on and then later disappeared.

Hopefully, he works hard, has a good mentor to keep him grounded and coaches work on him improving his game.

DId well in under-19 world cup as well. He has the same hunger as his brother for big innings. He can bowl. That is a massive plus.

Duleep Trophy: Sarfaraz celebrates brother Musheer Khan's gritty hundred on debut

Sarfaraz Khan did not trouble the scorers much on Day 1 of the Duleep Trophy match for India A, but he was thrilled for his brother and teammate, Musheer, who hit a gritty hundred in Bengaluru. Playing for Abhimanyu Easwaran-led India B, Musheer Khan brought up a hundred in his debut in the Duleep Trophy. Musheer scored more than 50 percent of the team's total when he got to the three-figure score in 205 deliveries at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium on Thursday, September 5.

Sarfaraz Khan, who was in the dressing room, led the celebrations, giving his younger brother a standing ovation. The entire support staff group of India B was up on its feet, lauding a sensational century from Musheer. The 19-year-old brought up his third first-class century.

It was a knock that signalled his arrival in the big league as he stood out from the other Test regulars in Team B on the opening day of the Duleep Trophy tournament. Sarfaraz made 9 while Rishabh Pant managed 7 on his return to red-ball cricket. Opener Yashasvi Jaiswal was the next-best scorer with 30 as India A pacers, led by Akash Deep, Avesh Khan and Khaleel Ahmed, dominated the first two sessions.

The premier four-day tournament was being closely monitored by Ajit Agarkar-led selection committee ahead of a busy Test season, in which India will play 10 matches in the longest format of the game.

Musheer Khan has a knack for stepping up on the big stages. He hit a hundred in the Ranji Trophy final against Vidarbha in March. It came after a double hundred in the quarter-final against Vidarbha and a fifty in the semi-final against Tamil Nadu for Mumbai in his maiden Ranji Trophy season.

At the 2024 Under-19 Cricket World Cup, Musheer Khan emerged as one of the top performers. He scored 360 runs in seven matches, striking at almost run-a-ball on challenging South African surfaces. His notable performances included centuries against New Zealand and Ireland, making him the second-highest run-scorer in the tournament. He also picked up seven wickets at an economy rate of under four runs per over, showcasing his all-round skills.

Musheer Khan seems to be aswin clone in batting .It's all about hand eye co ordination for him. definitely have much better footwork and technique than his brother sarfaraz.Looks good prospect for no 5 /6 after 1 or 2 years.Seems rahul will have to vacate his spot sooner or later to someone else to give an immense joy to Indian fans.

I hope this young man is not unfit. Otherwise, he won’t make it just like his brother and Prithvi Shaw.

Musheer Khan got in to serious accident and suffered injuries.Bcci should make a professional driver mandatory for all the cricketer's till their retirement.

Mumbai allrounder Musheer Khan has suffered neck injuries during a road accident in the outskirts of Lucknow on Friday. Musheer was en route to Lucknow from Azamgarh, his hometown, for the Irani Cup beginning on October 1 and is likely to be ruled out of the game and the first first few rounds of the Ranji Trophy.

ESPNcricinfo has learnt Musheer was traveling with his father and two others when their SUV, a Toyota Fortuner, collided into a median and toppled, as per eyewitness accounts as well as a member of the traffic directorate of Lucknow Police. Musheer was taken to hospital and treated for concussion, but the extent of damage is yet to be ascertained.

Musheer Khan likely out of Irani Cup after road accident in UP
He has suffered neck injuries and is expected to miss a few Ranji Trophy games too

It is learnt that Musheer will be flown back to Mumbai at the earliest, where he will check into a BCCI-mandated hospital for a detailed assessment. The BCCI and NCA's medical panel have been swiftly made aware of his case.

Musheer was set to represent Mumbai, the Ranji Trophy champions, in the first-class fixture that will be played at the Ekana Stadium. After the Irani game, Mumbai will begin their Ranji campaign on October 11 against Baroda.

The injury comes as a setback for Musheer following a roaring start to his first-class career. He already has three centuries and a half-century in nine first-class games. This includes a double-hundred in last season's Ranji Trophy quarter-final, a half-century in the semi-final and a match-winning century in the final against Vidarbha.

Earlier this month, he began the new domestic season with a superb 181 in the Duleep Trophy against a strong India A attack comprising Akash Deep, Avesh Khan, Khaleel Ahmed and Kuldeep Yadav.

Meanwhile, Musheer's older brother and India batter Sarfaraz Khan has been released from the Test squad in Kanpur to participate in the Irani Cup. Sarfaraz's availability was subject to him not being picked in India's XI for the second Test against Bangladesh.

The Mumbai Cricket Association (MCA) is yet to name a replacement for Musheer in the squad led by Ajinkya Rahane.

Musheer Khan in 'Stable Condition and Out of Danger' After Road Accident: Report

After being involved in a road accident on the outskirts of Lucknow, Mumbai starlet Musheer Khan is now confirmed to be in stable condition as confirmed by the doctors.

Musheer was on his way from Lucknow to his hometown in Azamgarh ahead of his Irani Cup participation on October 1. The youngster was also accompanied by his father, Naushad Khan. But he did not suffer any major injuries barring some minor scratches in the accident that took place on the Purvanchal Expressway as his car hit a divider and overturned.

According to a report by Press Trust of India (PTI), Musheer is expected to remain out of action for a minimum of three months as he sustained injuries to his neck as a result of the accident. This would mean he is ruled out for the upcoming Irani Cup and a few matches for Mumbai in the Ranji Trophy 2024-25 season as well.

Dr Bhola Singh, Medical Superintendent at Medanta Hospital, Lucknow, said in a statement that the cricketer is out of danger.

“Cricketer Musheer Khan, injured in a road accident on the Purvanchal Expressway, was brought to the emergency department of Medanta Hospital due to pain in his neck. His treatment is being conducted under the supervision of Dr. Dharmendra Singh, Director of the Department of Orthopedics.

“His condition is stable and he is out of danger,” Dr Singh said.

The 19-year-old is currently one of India’s biggest prospects having had some stellar performances in the recent ICC U-19 World Cup 2024 where he was the second-highest run-getter with 360 runs.

He has also been part of the Mumbai State team where he began his first-class career scoring 716 runs in the 9 games. This includes a fantastic 181 which came in the Duleep Trophy opener for India B against India A.

Many will hope that the youngster can get back to playing his best cricket on the field as soon as possible. But time will tell whether Musheer can come through this moment in his young career and possibly take inspiration from Rishabh Pant, who also suffered a life-threatening accident, to comeback stronger.

IA he has a quick recovery.

More talented than Sarfaraz. Sarfaraz is at best going to be a fringe test player/ backup.

Musheer is going to be an all format star and the one to keep an eye out for.

He is the Hardik Pandya to Sarfaraz’s Krunal.

Dr. Bhola Singh, Medical Superintendent at Medanta Hospital, Lucknow, said in a statement that the cricketer is out of danger.

"Cricketer Musheer Khan, injured in a road accident on the Purvanchal Expressway, was brought to the emergency department of Medanta Hospital due to pain in his neck. His treatment is being conducted under the supervision of Dr. Dharmendra Singh, Director of the Department of Orthopedics.

'Nayi Zindagi Mili': Musheer Khan Thanks Well Wishers for Support After His Horrific Car Accident

Mumbai’s young batting star, Musheer Khan issued his first statement on Sunday, since surviving a car accident while en route to join his state team for the upcoming Irani Cup 2024.

As a result of the accident, the youngster suffered a neck fracture during the accident while on his way to Lucknow from his hometown in Azamgarh for the Irani Cup fixture which is set to begin on October 1 against the Rest of India squad.

Musheer who was seen wearing a neck brace, was also accompanied by his father, Naushad Khan during the incident but the latter escaped with no major injuries. Naushad along with Musheer released a video on the latter’s official Instagram handle.

“First of all, I would like to thank Allah for this new life. I am fine now. My father was with me, he is also fine now. I would like to thank you all for your prayers,” said Musheer as quoted by IANS.

The injury would come as a massive blow for the young star who was slated to be a part of the India A squad that would tour Australia later this year. He had an impressive show during the recently concluded Duleep Trophy 2024 tournament, smashing 181 to single-handedly lift India B during their clash against India A.

“Good evening, first of all, I would like to thank the Almighty for this new life. I would also like to thank all those people who have prayed for us – well-wishers, friends, and relatives. I am very thankful for all of them,” Musheer’s father, Naushad said in the video.

“I would also like to thank the MCA and BCCI, who are taking very good care. They are going to give an update on what is going to happen in the future. I would also like to say what we have not got, we should be patient about it, and what we have got, need to be thankful for it, and this is life,” Naushad added.

The Mumbai Cricket Association (MCA) is yet to name a replacement for Musheer, India’s leading run-getter in this year’s U19 World Cup, in the Irani Cup squad led by veteran Test batter Ajinkya Rahane.
