[VIDEOS] New Zealand's Finn Allen - T20 Royalty?

Allen is a beast. SR of almost 200. He replaced Guptil and is filling in those shoes nicely.

Allen though was in poor form. Now hits 2 back to back 50's.
Shows if you are in bad form, just play against us. Sure return to form.

100 with a SR of over 200. I thought Kholi destroyed Rauf, but this has been even worse.

What an innings from Finn Allen, broke many reccords in his 137 (62) today.
He has become NZ's higest individual T20I run scorer and he has tied the reccord of most 6's in a single T20I game.
Was worth keep up for

Get Finn Allen into a PSL side !
Finn Allen is T20 royalty. He won’t play in a cheap and low quality league like PSL until he is 35 and washed up.

For the next 10 years, he will make big bucks playing IPL, BBL and The Hundred.

In the 3rd T20I against Pakistan, Finn Allen smashed 16 sixes and five fours in his whirlwind innings, surpassing Brendon McCullum's record to claim the highest score by a New Zealander in a T20 international. His innings also equaled the world record of 16 sixes in an innings, held by Afghanistan's Hazratullah Zazai.

Finn Allen looks so exciting. On one hand it's not much of an achievement to smash around this pakistan bowling attack... on the other hand, some of those shots were pure class

It was his 2nd T20I century and the third fastest-ever for NZ. What a thrilling display of batting it was.

The Finn Allen train has come to a stop! (for now)

Tied for most 6's in a series. Well done, facing the likes of Nawaz and Mir, he has a great chance to get the reccord here.

Pakistan will remain a six-conceding machine as long as Rauf is playing. An absolute clown of a bowler.

BLACKCAPS batter Finn Allen will auction off a limited-edition shirt to raise money for Cancer Society New Zealand.
Allen blasted 16 sixes while scoring 137 off 62 balls against Pakistan last month, equaling the world record for the most sixes, and establishing the highest individual T20I score for a New Zealander.

Coincidentally, the number of sixes matches the number Allen wears on his playing shirt, so to commemorate the historic innings NZC has produced 16 limited-edition Finn Allen playing shirts, one of which will be auctioned off to raise money for a charity close to Allen’s heart.

The framed shirt will be auctioned on Trade Me, with ANZ, a major sponsor of both the BLACKCAPS and the Cancer Society, committing $6,000 to top up the final bid; an amount reflective of Allen’s impressive six-hitting.

Allen said his decision to auction the shirt for the Cancer Society stemmed from bearing witness to the grief the disease has caused his loved ones.

“My Aunty, Dad’s sister, passed away from ovarian cancer before I was born,” Allen said.

“She was only 30 years old, and although I didn’t meet her I’ve seen the significant impact it had on my family.

“Last month, around the time of the series actually, marked 29 years since my Aunty’s passing, so when NZC reached out with the shirts, it spurred the idea to find an opportunity to give back.”

Allen said using his performance to assist cancer sufferers helped put sport in perspective.

“I’ve had a lot of family and friends who have been heavily affected by cancer in one way or another, so to turn a special achievement into something that will give back in some way is pretty rewarding.

“I felt so in the zone during that innings, that time went really fast and it felt like it was over and done pretty quickly - so this is a nice way to make the moment more memorable.”

Finn struggled on the sluggish US pitches. He needs true bounce to unleash his skills like many T20 batsmen around.

A perfect example of a modern-day batter. This guy knows only 1 game and that is to smash the ball as hard as you can.

Brilliant century in the MLC 2024 game for the San Francisco Unicorns against the Texas SUper Kings.

WHat a way to reach your century! 101 off 53 balls

Scorchers swoop to snare Kiwi powerhouse Allen

Big-hitting New Zealand opener Finn Allen headed for Perth on two-year deal after turning down national contract

Powerful opener Finn Allen's first stop on the franchise circuit after handing back his New Zealand contract is set to be the Big Bash after signing a two-year deal to join the Perth Scorchers.

Cricket.com.au has been told Allen has become the third Kiwi to sign a multi-year contract ahead of the September 1 KFC BBL|14 overseas player draft, joining Colin Munro (Brisbane Heat) and Tim Seifert (Melbourne Renegades) in this summer's tournament.

The 25-year-old right-hander has represented the Black Caps 47 times in the T20 format, including all four matches in June's disastrous T20 World Cup campaign that saw the Kiwi bundled out in the first round after defeats to Afghanistan and hosts West Indies.

19 ball 50 for this guy today before he was caught out off abbas in the 4th t20 game of the series.

He has ordinary record against world best T20 team

Average -10 as strike rate T20

He only love playing against Pakistan bowler's 🤣🤣

Avg - 40 and strike rate -190

:kp

Finn Allen has just scored 51 ball 151 runs for San Francisco Unicorns against Washington Freedom in game 1 of the MLC 2025...

Can you believe that he struck 19 sixes in this inning.... That is some inning.

Finn is a T20 superstar.

Maybe NZ should try him in Test and ODI too.

Warner started off like this (T20 specialist). He eventually became an all-format player.

Haris Rauf very lucky that he is in the same team as Allen and Seifert , for a change :kp

San Francisco Unicorns opener Finn Allen scripted history by hitting a whopping 19 sixes in the side’s Major League Cricket (MLC) game against Washington Freedom.

The New Zealand batter broke the record of most sixes in a T20 match, previously held by West Indian Chris Gayle and Estonian Sahil Chauhan, who hit 18 sixes each.

Finn will not do well in test cricket. Worth a try to give him a more extended run in ODIs.

They don't need Finn Allen in ODI's. Probably better off backing the likes of Rhys Mariu or someone similar with good FC/List A numbers.
I get where you're coming from. But I just think the upside of Finn working out in ODIs is too mouthwatering to ignore. A player like him can be a game-changer if he gets going. And there's no reason why he can't be that type of player in ODIs for NZ with better application and decision-making.

He's more in that Phil Salt mould. Plays too many attacking shots for an ODI opener .

And he's rejected NZ central contract so his batting tempo is not going to be fine tuned playing bilateral ODIs either.
