With Abdullah Shafique's failures in the ODI series against South Africa, Fakhar Zaman is a must for the ICC Champions Trophy 2025, as the PCB should set aside ego.
 
Poor decision to omit Fakhar. May come back to hunt Pakistan.

Fakhar should be the first name for selection in ODI format.
 
How much longer is this farce going to continue?

The only people they are punishing are themselves.
 
The decision to drop him from the team was ludicrous. The decision to strip him of his central contract was even more farcical. All over a tweet in support of Babar who himself was back in the fold shortly thereafter.

The PCB urgently needs to correct this and get Fakhar into the team, with a central contract. To not do so would be the most obvious example of shooting yourself in the foot in history.

To drop him not just from the team but from the central contracts list is just shocking behaviour. Fakhar’s “crime” is supposedly speaking in support of his team mate Babar, and also vocalising his concerns in a camp run by the Chairman, where the Chairman asked senior players to vocalise their concerns. Fakhar was led to believe that the camp was a safe space, but it turns out it was anything but.
