This is something I've been thinking of starting for a while. A simple idea really - threads where posters can share specific positive and negative memories of various players.
I really got the idea from Sky Sports, who do a great job of providing interviews and insights into various English players and key moments from their careers. The players could be house hold names such as Flintoff & Botham - or the lesser known names such as Rob Key and Mark Ramprakash. In general Sky does a great job of providing their players with a platform to reflect on key moments on their playing days, whilst Pakistani media outlets on the other hand - well - the less said the better
I thought I would get the ball rolling with Mohammad Amir.
No particular reason - simply someone who has experienced many highs and many lows even though he hasn't spent a massive amount of time playing for Pakistan due to the 5 year ban. I feel he is someone who posters will have many various memories about.
It would be great to hear about what specific memories other posters have for Amir, as well as what players posters would like to see future threads on.
I'll get the ball rolling:
Mohammad Amir vs Dilshan - 2009 T20 WC Final
Seeing a young 18 year old, in his debut competition/series, working over the player who was the Man of the Tournament - an absolute delight to see. For me that first over vs Dilshan was the point when Amir really captured the attention of the entire cricketing world.
Mohammad Amir vs Tendulkar - 2009 Champions Trophy
Again - a young 18 year old picking up the wicket of the legend himself. An absolute treat!
Amir vs Kohli - Champions Trophy 2017
Ah - no words needed. The Kohli vs Amir passage of play was the moment of the tournament for me.
Spot Fixing Scandal
Don't think I'm every gonna forget the night/day news regarding the Spot Fixing scandal broke. The sight of devastation on Amir's face and distance on Giles Clark face as he handed amir the Player of Series cheque/medal just said it all.

A picture worth a 1000 words after the shame/anger/heart break he brought to all Pakistani fans after the spot fixing scandal
