they should telecast these warm up matches... at least the matches played by India....our country has so many jobless people who would watch even these warm up matches and make money for ICC/BCCI

Rohit Sharma - Just wanted to try out things, we don't mind batting first and setting a target. We came here early and had a preparatory camp in Perth. These two games will allow us to get into the groove, we want to try out certain things in the two games we have here. I know which bowlers will play in my mind, but it's important to give them confidence. Few of them are on their first tour of Australia, a fantastic place to play cricket and enjoy while learning the conditions. It's a privilege, my first time as Indian captain in an ICC tournament and I'll look to enjoy this.

Aaron Finch - We will bowl, looks like a pretty good pitch and we'd like to chase. We have played a little more cricket in the lead-up to this tournament, we weren't at our best against England, lost a few more wickets early. David Warner, Matthew Wade, Josh Hazlewood and Adam Zampa sit out of today's game.

Not sure why Deepak Hooda is not playing. We need batting heavy balance. Drop Ash and play Deepak.
 
Thought harshal Patel won't get a game but looks like he will be the first choice bowler. Embarrassment is waiting to happen!

The bounce on these pitches is crazy lol. Only South African pitches are comparable to this level of bounce.

Kane Richardson has to start for the OZ along with Hazlewood and Zampa. The Starc, Cummins, Hazlewood troika is not as effective as they used to be. Time to break them up.
 
India is the favorites for this world cup. They treated Australia like a third class team.

India should win without any hiccups.

Many under-rated SA. Their only problem is some "forced selections". Otherwise this cup should be won by them. Terrific bowlers to exploit the bounce. Terrific spinners. Good fielding unit. Great finisher. Good all round players.
 
KL and Rohit are the only players capable of depositing short balls into the stands. Yadav never looked comfortable against pace here. I think SKY bubble will be exploded in this WC.

SKY played brilliantly. Even against Western Australia he stood out. For a first timer that is very impressive.

He is peaking too early, will probably flop when it matters, whereas Hardik Pandya who has struggled a bit of late, may prosper under the business end of the WC.

Australia is their favourite place. Indian trundlers will wreak havoc on these teams. Even in test matches India won the series with trundlers.

India is just way too good and certainly most prepared team to win the world cup.
 
About DK, he was the 720° batter today. Gave everything to the shot and spinning twice after it, the ball still struggled to get past the square. I am not the biggest fan of Sanju ( although he has improved considerably ), but he is damn good player of fast bowling. DK is just irritating.
 
Guys like M Marsh show why it’s important to spot the right talent and then back it for a LONG time. This dude was catching air with his bat when he first started playing, and now look at him.

They are all the same. They are all inconsistent. They can all look like million bucks when they click. They can all struggle. Only reason DK is ahead because he can on his day start attacking from ball 1

He was hopeless in Bangladesh right before world T20.

Samson latest iteration has been very good and consistent.
 
India doesn't have to use harshal. But they want to see him one last time before permanently discarding him.There must be more than dozen seamers better than him. He conned his way into the side somehow
 
Oh man this harshal Patel is really horrendous.
Standard of ipl is very very low. He is the star of that circus IPL.I can't believe people were missing him in the Asia Cup.
 
For the process oriented fans who were saying that there is nothing wrong in this and that :inti, Harshal Patel is playing ahead of your Mohammad Shami,Siraj,Umran Malik and Avesh Khan. Hope this should make them happy and not start shouting. :inti
 
Jadeja scoring 37 runs of him in one over should have given an idea what a garbage bowler harshal is
 
DK is as crap as they come and we have not understood this despite bearing with him for 18 years!
 
ouch Maxwell hurt himself while playing a reverse. my god He nailed that reverse sweep straight on to his face.
 
Our bowling is perhaps crappiest for a no.1 ranked nation. Shows the true worth of these rankings!
 
Such horrible trundling from India, especially from Bhuvneshwar and Harshal. Harshal especially, god knows how he dominated the IPL, in this game he just seems like a slightly quicker version of Shan Masood. Arshdeep I rate however, give him some time and I think he could reach the levels of Shaheen Shah
 
Finch slogged his way to his 50 . Damn with that agricultural batting style it is a miracle he is scoring any runs.
