:aaqibAaqib Javed was a very under-rated bowler. Also very under-achieved bowler. It is hard to believe that he played his last international at the age of 26. PCB wasted him and Saqlain Mustaq.:aaqib

He had similar pace to Junaid.
45 years old today.
Like waqar he was very likely born in the late 60 and is about 50 now
Why some people are so obsessed with players age and not their achievements, never understood that.
Part of the reason he faded after 1992 was age - he was really 28 not 20 - but the other issue was the batting.
Previously Imran Khan batted at 7, Moin Khan at 8, Wasim Akram at 9, Abdul Qadir at 10 and Waqar Younis at 11.
But Mushie was an inferior batsman to Qadir and Rashid Latif was not capable of the big scores that Moin could make, but was a far better keeper.
So Aaqib became a third Number 11, and ultimately his batting ended his career.
