Pakistan’s batting struggles persist as they finish Day 2 of the second Test at 76/4 in pursuit of 254 against the West Indies

Not a minefield this pitch but our batters are scared kittens and walking wickets.

Huraira another choker like his uncle. Looked terrified out there.

Kept saying forget his overall 48 FC average - his graph has been going downwards. He didn't even average 35 in the last two QEA seasons.

Sifarish Parchis have destroyed Pakistan cricket both the openers were from that category

this should be his last international game

3/12, out of which 7 games at home 4 against lowly ranked sides , guess the answer

PCB tinkered too much with Test side jnfact they diminished our pace attack and result is still ended up reverse cow

the PCB journo was hinting at Pakistan trying to get the curators to prepare spin decks for the CT

They will make excuses even though this is the exact scenario we warned them about ie

-this strategy depends heavily on the toss
-it ensures we will also lose to any bog standard bowling team if we bat second

Which is what is happening.

Even if we win, any other team than Windies, who are as poor as us: eg like Lanka would destroy us with their spinners. We'd barely even make a 100 if we can't handle Motie or Warrican.

Where are the fans who were doing bhangra over the cheating pitches

To be fair, this is way better than the highways they were serving up under Ramiz.

They will need to strike a balance but if it's between the two then this is the way to go.

Babar has started well. He is atleast decisive in footwork. Either advancing or going full back

Not at all. In this silly tactic we can't ever play any of our pacers to any effect or include them in the team. Which means anytime our new pacers will get a proper run in it will be abroad, instead of the pitches and the grounds where they grew up on. Same for our batsman.

Its a ruinous strategy.

The best is for moderation. Offer pitches which give some amount of turn but also are good for batting too ie the UAE. That way atleast we can outbat the opposition or put them under pressure like we did in UAE. Or how we beat SA in Pakistan not even 2 years ago. The problem with our country is we take everything in extreme, whether its flat pitches or these bakwaas pitches.

He thinks if you don’t like Rizwan you automatically love shan.

Poor guy is from the same place where Babar is worshipped as King
Shan has consistently outperformed babar azam since he's arrived as a test cap. That's the only worrying sign for bobby lol. Otherwise he ain't a good test bat and is a very avg captain post aus tour.

Win or lose is part of game, show your support to Shan in testing times

Going by trend Shan record will 3 wins from 12 that's poor unsatisfactory and warrants some introspection

This is probably Kashif's first and only Test match.

Bowls at medium 129-130KPH. Even M Abbas is a few clicks quicker than him.
Correct, if Kashif is the only choice then why they dropped Abbas who performed well in SA and have won them matches on UAE in past.

You got to back your strength with Babar Saud Rizwan etc PCB had some batsmen to work with, no cheap tactics were req with these lotto pitches

Pakistan need to find a balance between flat roads and turning square pitches

Motie's had too much roti. That was a dolly. How costly will that be ?

All I'm saying is this is far better to watch than them playing on highways. Those matches aren't even worth turning your TV on.

For Pakistan, the equation is going to come down to winning and losing.

No one should be complaining if they win three home series in the next WTC cycle using this tactic. It's the way the tournament is structured and they have to win as much as they can. If they win three series and then grab the Bangladesh series, it's almost a guaranteed spot in the final.

Look at NZ, no one is complaining that Ajaz Patel doesn't get games at home because they make seamer wickets. He still goes overseas and does well like he did in India.

There are also issues in some of the cities as to how the conditions are managed. They can't prepare those types of pitches like we saw against South Africa barring the cooler months. If they don't dry the wicket like they do, it's just going to create a highway.

It's unquestionably extreme but it's a tactic. They will need the batsmen to adapt to it. I'm sure they will tone it down though because these pitches might have been a bit too much (especially the first pitch).
